It's a super casual spot that has good food. The service needs work ( the server was the cashier for everyone checking out and had a section) therefore our drink took a long time since he was doing both jobs. It was okay not great but not bad. Food was good but I was not impressed.

Solid restaurant in Vacaville and based on the fully packed space and the line out the door, Wah Sing is a local favorite for dinner. They have a lot to offer, including Mongolian bbq, hot pot, and a full menu with lots of options. I got the Mongolian bbq today and although it's all you can eat, I can never eat more than one plate. I like that they supply you with a disposable glove at the beginning of the line to make it more sanitary. The noodles were fresh and I got extra garlic and hot sauces. Yum! We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken which was a good shareable portion, and the eggplant and mushroom dish was good too. Come early to avoid lines and park in the large parking area as the parking spots right in front of the resto tend to fill up fast. Wah sing is worth a visit.

Beef Egg Foo Young... doesn't it look like it was made with love??

FYI my husband told me this place closed down, but after seeing recent reviews here... they actually just moved to their other restaurant, combining it with the Mongolian and HotPot spot off Nut Tree Rd. That's a smart move, saving on lease and utilities etc... So we ordered egg foo young (Shrimp and Beef) and fried rice... we loved it!!! It was tasty and the portions were generous. Also the family answering the phone are pleasant to speak too. They sound happy and grateful for their customers. Ok enough rambling.... my happy belly asked me to share our satisfaction.

We came here for the first time to celebrate my mums birthday and had a nice time... It was nice to check out the food bar or be able to order a meal... We ordered the pot stickers which were deep fried deliciousness. And then my pops and I ordered off the menu while my grams and mum tried the all you can eat Mongolian bbq. I ordered the sesame chicken and my pops ordered the Mongolian beef... both were really good. The lunch menu comes with soup and an egg roll.. I will say the miso left a lot to be desired... it wasn't very warm and was overly salty. The sesame chicken was deep fried but not overly breaded which I appreciate. The sauce was good, not too much and had great flavor. The egg rolls were delicious! Overall a good experience! Oh and our server was great she was funny knowledgeable and easy to mesh with! The restaurant was clean and it was open enough that you could move through without feeling like you were going to bump into someone. It was pretty cold inside.. so if you're cold often, then maybe bring a jacket!

I got the miso broth. Overall this place is decent for hot pot. I do like that they aren't cheap with how much meat they give you. They limit you and have you choose four or five items, but that is standard or most places. At least with this place its not a single piece for each person. It was more filing in protein. I do wish they had more selection overall in protein and vegetables. However it is a small business so I understand. Small detail that I appreciate is the laddle with and without holes. Sometimes you don't want to add more broth to your bowl and the one with holes made it that much more convenient. It is tucked away in a plaza, but don't be discouraged. Give this place a chance!

They closed this location and will operate out of their sister restaurant Wah Sing Mongolian Hotpot & BBQ

Unfortunately they closed this location and will operate out of their sister restaurant Wah Sing Mongolian Hotpot & BBQ only now. They will offer some items at their sister restaurant soon. Its too bad they are closing this location, but their other restaurant is just down the road. Their Hot Pot and Mongolian BBQ are really good at the other restaurant, so check them out.

Come early or you'll likely not get to have what you're eyeing on. When: Saturday dinner at 5pm (came when they were opening door) What: Chicken satay, pork satay, beef satay, seafood laksa, hainanese chicken rice, fried spring roll Experience: Superb food!! It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! Looking forward to their opening at their next location!

(I also paid using the online services, but I did see someone paying in person.) I was drawn to Bazar Eatery when I saw they had Laksa; I ordered the Seafood Laksa. Ever since I had it in Singapore, I've been hoping to find somewhere that serves this soup. It was nice to find somewhere that serves it, but it doesn't compare to the flavor of the laksa I had in Singapore. (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.

One of us ordered a salad and she did not like the dressing it came with. One of the employees (Willis) overheard her mention it and was Johnny on the spot offering to remake the salad with a different dressing. Months passed and we went back. I immediately noticed how friendly the staff was. Like crazy friendly. Like... maybe they even enjoy their jobs friendly (in food service that is pretty rare). This time Jerry took our order. Super friendly and interactive. I mentioned that he seemed really happy. He informed us that one of his favorite artists was dropping a new album that night and couldn't wait to hear it. We went back a few days later and Jerry was there again. I asked him how he liked the album and then we got into a discussion of music. We discovered we had very similar interests. Anyway, we are now very regular customers. I have met Jerry, Willis, one of their new hires, Miah, and their new Manager, Travis. Every time I go in, if I meet someone new, they are just as friendly as everyone else. I am slowly getting to know them all. Also, I now have my favorites. The Almost Fried Chicken is really good as well as the Chicken Parm. If you are looking for a place with a positive atmosphere and good eats, be sure to put this on your list. I just want to add that I've now been there several times since writing this review and every time, without fail, the interactions have been unbelievably positive. It is SO obvious that they care about their customers. There are people I forgot to mention, also, so wanted to add extra shout-outs to Sierra, one of the managers, who obviously knows how to treat her employees and her customers. And I recently met Brae Lynn who seems to have been a fantastic addition. It's gotten to the point where I'd almost rather eat there than eat at home. In short, if you've had a bad day, head on over to Mendocino Farms and get a shot of positivity. I'm pretty sure that's free. The food is a bonus! Why go to some fast food place where people hate their jobs? We know it. They know it. They know we know it.

The rice itself was subtle, with a slight soy sauce flavor; definitely allowed the chicken to shine. Thai iced tea - 8/10, good thai tea. not too sweet, stronger on the tea side. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is decent in size (has both outside and indoor seating), and had a modern, clean look. Overall, food was delicious and would definitely come back. (extra note: the menu has some interesting items that I'm looking forward to trying, definitely unique in comparison to other thai restaurants)

Rice Barn offers your typical Thai food cuisine and unfortunately, it did not live up to par. I wanted more variety and balance with the potatoes and carrots. I expected the carrots to be crunchy, but not with the potatoes. The potatoes were on the tougher side and just needed a bit more time to cook and soften. And also with more cooking time means the soup to be thicker, which it also needed. Overall, taste of the yellow curry was decent, just the ingredients were a bit off. As an appetizer, the pork belly surprisingly had a good portion size. Or maybe that's just the illusion of the long plate it is served on? Among the dishes we ordered, this was my least favorite. It was not crispy, more on the harder and chewy texture. It just didn't have that crisp like a typical crispy pork belly should. The other two dishes - pad see ew and pineapple fried rice - were great. Taste, texture, color - all near-perfection. The pad see ew can add a bit more on the portion size, otherwise both dishes are a must to order here. As for customer service, we had pleasant experience. We did not know they close mid-day, so we arrived about little more than 30 minutes before closing, but they were still pretty eager to take us in. Many other folks were still in the restaurant and the staff were very attentive.
