Mongolian BBQ was really good. I wish there was a sweet honey sauce with no fish for the BBQ, but that's it. Fried wonton was good but must be ordered separately. Employees were helpful. It's a roomy restaurant that could hold some larger crowds. I do have one request: I wish you were open until 10:00 p.m. a few days a week, maybe Friday and Saturday. I work, and I live 30 miles away so I would get there about 8 to 8:10 p.m. That means me and my family would have to rush their dinner, which is hard to do especially with Mongolian BBQ. read more

Solid restaurant in Vacaville and based on the fully packed space and the line out the door, Wah Sing is a local favorite for dinner. They have a lot to offer, including Mongolian bbq, hot pot, and a full menu with lots of options. I got the Mongolian bbq today and although it's all you can eat, I can never eat more than one plate. I like that they supply you with a disposable glove at the beginning of the line to make it more sanitary. The noodles were fresh and I got extra garlic and hot sauces. Yum! We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken which was a good shareable portion, and the eggplant and mushroom dish was good too. Come early to avoid lines and park in the large parking area as the parking spots right in front of the resto tend to fill up fast. Wah sing is worth a visit. read more

FYI my husband told me this place closed down, but after seeing recent reviews here... they actually just moved to their other restaurant, combining it with the Mongolian and HotPot spot off Nut Tree Rd. That's a smart move, saving on lease and utilities etc... So we ordered egg foo young (Shrimp and Beef) and fried rice... we loved it!!! It was tasty and the portions were generous. We came here for the first time to celebrate my mums birthday and had a nice time... It was nice to check out the food bar or be able to order a meal... We ordered the pot stickers which were deep fried deliciousness. And then my pops and I ordered off the menu while my grams and mum tried the all you can eat Mongolian bbq. I ordered the sesame chicken and my pops ordered the Mongolian beef... both were really good. The lunch menu comes with soup and an egg roll.. I will say the miso left a lot to be desired... it wasn't very warm and was overly salty. The sesame chicken was deep fried but not overly breaded which I appreciate. The sauce was good, not too much and had great flavor. The egg rolls were delicious! Overall a good experience! Oh and our server was great she was funny knowledgeable and easy to mesh with! The restaurant was clean and it was open enough that you could move through without feeling like you were going to bump into someone. So I finally got to try this restaurant, I will mention that it was a Saturday which along with Sundays are their Mongolian BBQ days, I don't think it's available during the week. I don't know if this will have a bearing on my experience. It was very busy which is nice to see and lots of staff moving around and checking on you. They were constantly keeping the items you choose for the BBQ full. Now I didn't come here for the BBQ, I came for some Chinese food and that could be the reason for my rating, the food was bland the Mongolian beef we had heat but not a lot of flavor and normally served with green onions, which there was very little of and tons of white onion, my wife loves green onions. We also had a black bean dish of which there was hardly any black bean flavor, the other flavors associated with this kind of dish were absent also. Finally we had the salt and pepper wings, these also missed the mark, barely any salt and pepper flavor and the heat was supplied by red pepper but no jalapeños which is a flavor element and no garlic in the mix either. I will go back to try during the week to see if maybe cooks are on a higher tier than those on the weekends during the BBQ as that seems to be their draw. read more

I got the miso broth. Overall this place is decent for hot pot. I do like that they aren't cheap with how much meat they give you. They limit you and have you choose four or five items, but that is standard or most places. At least with this place its not a single piece for each person. It was more filing in protein. I do wish they had more selection overall in protein and vegetables. However it is a small business so I understand. Small detail that I appreciate is the laddle with and without holes. Sometimes you don't want to add more broth to your bowl and the one with holes made it that much more convenient. It is tucked away in a plaza, but don't be discouraged. I've ordered from this place a couple of times and the food is great. Last time we ordered cream cheese wontons, spicy eggplant, Szechuan chicken, and vegetable chow mein. Let me just start off by saying their cream cheese wontons are BY FAR the BEST cream cheese wontons I've ever had! However, I was a bit disappointed when I got home and realized they didn't give us any sweet and sour sauce. So that was a bit of a bummer, but I can overlook it because they were still so great. The eggplant was amazing. The chicken was crispy and I liked that they provided the sauce on the side to keep it from getting soggy. The chow mein was just okay, I expect it to be a little less flavorful since it wasn't prepared with a protein but it was a little dry as well. All in all, the food was good, the order was ready in 20 mins and I will be back next time I need a Chinese food fix. read more

Came here to have lunch on a business trip. I had the orange chicken and it was flavorful. Definitively can taste they make their own sauces. The miso soup is your only option but it was the best miso soup I've ever had. The broth was fantastic tasting with only a couple tofu. The egg roll was nothing special. Mushy vegetables rolled up and fried. The fried rice was really tasty but the chow mein lacked vegetables and the noodles were not the greatest. What I thought was out of the ordinary is they charge if you want fried rice and chow mein instead of white rice. 1.50 for each one if you get 1/2 and 1/2 so basically adding $3 more onto the meal. The total for lunch special was $19.00 with 2.50 tip and they also charge if you use a debit card. That's quite a bit for just lunch and no drink other than water. The server was friendly but they don't explain the menu well and this place is known for the Mongolian bbq and the vegetables and meat selection looked amazing. Next time I'll be trying that for sure. Also make sure to check your receipt cause they tried charging me for a soda I did not order. read more

Favorite spot to get Chinese food in town! Flavor is comparable to Chinatown in SF & Oakland. I love it! Authentic & unapologetic flavors! We always order large trays when we host get together at our home. They do deliver , we always order with them over the phone. Our favorite dishes are: honey walnut shrimp , garlic green beans, chow fun black bean, chow mein, combination fried rice, salt and pepper fish and Szechuan garlic eggplant. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant, I have been coming here for the past couple years and since Covid happen I've been getting it more often than usual. During these sad times of no indoor dining Wah Sing has continued to provide delivery and pick up for their customers. They are always busy and taking orders. From the first time I has tried this place until now nothing has changed with their menu or taste. Everything continues to stay consistent which is why I believe they are one of the best in Vacaville area. I usually always get the War Won Ton soup but recently I tried the sizzling rice soup. You would think taking it home wouldn't be the same but omg it was so delicious. I ate the whole thing by myself lol and it was a good portion for being a size small. The other thing I just discovered is their sesame seed balls. They have THE BEST! They are 6 for about $2.50 and they always come out fresh never sitting all day, they make them as you order them. So they are a must try. Please support local businesses they work so hard to keep us happy and full of good food. I recently moved to the wonderful city of Vacaville. As with any newcomer, I wanted to find good restaurants, where I can enjoy good food & good ambience. Looking for a highly rated Chinese restaurant, I found Wah Sing on Yelp. It had a four+ star rating, and I thought that would be a good choice. Unfortunately, the four star rating was a misnomer... The food was severely lacking in flavor and freshness. The Mongolian beef was tough and "old tasting". The chicken dishes were not much better, tasteless and seemingly left over from the day before. The noodle dish, seemed like it was just slapped together, just to get it out... This experience, needless to say, was not a good introduction to the food scene in Vacaville. You can't rely on Yelp reviews to find a good restaurant worthy of a four star review, unfortunately... I feel like I wasted my money & will not be going back. I would recommend looking for Asian/Chinese food at another restaurant, hopefully worthy of a four star review.‍ read more

Our glasses were never empty, and the prices were very fair for the food quantity and quality. This place is a little smaller, so I would recommend calling ahead if you're bribing a party of 5 or more. This is a really nice cozy spot for a date and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect for the cuisine. The staff was phenomenal and very friendly, and timed bringing out our appetizers and dishes perfectly. The food was hot when it came out, and servings were a good size. The luncheon deal is what you should go for to get the most out of your money. The menu said the Szechuan was hot and when I tasted it, the food wasn't too hot, really just a little mild. My first time here on the way home from Kaiser Vacaville. My order was just sweet and sour pork and rice for dinner, The ssp sauce was great, just how a good ss sauce should taste.
