Beef Egg Foo Young... doesn't it look like it was made with love??
    Patty C.

FYI my husband told me this place closed down, but after seeing recent reviews here... they actually just moved to their other restaurant, combining it with the Mongolian and HotPot spot off Nut Tree Rd. That's a smart move, saving on lease and utilities etc... So we ordered egg foo young (Shrimp and Beef) and fried rice... we loved it!!! It was tasty and the portions were generous. Also the family answering the phone are pleasant to speak too. They sound happy and grateful for their customers. Ok enough rambling.... my happy belly asked me to share our satisfaction.

We came here for the first time to celebrate my mums birthday and had a nice time... It was nice to check out the food bar or be able to order a meal... We ordered the pot stickers which were deep fried deliciousness. And then my pops and I ordered off the menu while my grams and mum tried the all you can eat Mongolian bbq. I ordered the sesame chicken and my pops ordered the Mongolian beef... both were really good. The lunch menu comes with soup and an egg roll.. I will say the miso left a lot to be desired... it wasn't very warm and was overly salty. The sesame chicken was deep fried but not overly breaded which I appreciate. The sauce was good, not too much and had great flavor. The egg rolls were delicious! Overall a good experience! Oh and our server was great she was funny knowledgeable and easy to mesh with! The restaurant was clean and it was open enough that you could move through without feeling like you were going to bump into someone. It was pretty cold inside.. so if you're cold often, then maybe bring a jacket!

I got the miso broth. Overall this place is decent for hot pot. I do like that they aren't cheap with how much meat they give you. They limit you and have you choose four or five items, but that is standard or most places. At least with this place its not a single piece for each person. It was more filing in protein. I do wish they had more selection overall in protein and vegetables. However it is a small business so I understand. Small detail that I appreciate is the laddle with and without holes. Sometimes you don't want to add more broth to your bowl and the one with holes made it that much more convenient. It is tucked away in a plaza, but don't be discouraged. Give this place a chance!

Unfortunately they closed this location and will operate out of their sister restaurant Wah Sing Mongolian Hotpot & BBQ only now. They will offer some items at their sister restaurant soon. Its too bad they are closing this location, but their other restaurant is just down the road. Their Hot Pot and Mongolian BBQ are really good at the other restaurant, so check them out.

Orange chicken, fried rice & chow mein.

Came here to have lunch on a business trip. I had the orange chicken and it was flavorful. Definitively can taste they make their own sauces. The miso soup is your only option but it was the best miso soup I've ever had. The broth was fantastic tasting with only a couple tofu. The egg roll was nothing special. Mushy vegetables rolled up and fried. The fried rice was really tasty but the chow mein lacked vegetables and the noodles were not the greatest. What I thought was out of the ordinary is they charge if you want fried rice and chow mein instead of white rice. 1.50 for each one if you get 1/2 and 1/2 so basically adding $3 more onto the meal. The total for lunch special was $19.00 with 2.50 tip and they also charge if you use a debit card. That's quite a bit for just lunch and no drink other than water. The server was friendly but they don't explain the menu well and this place is known for the Mongolian bbq and the vegetables and meat selection looked amazing. Next time I'll be trying that for sure. Also make sure to check your receipt cause they tried charging me for a soda I did not order.

I especially enjoyed the pork fried rice, I am used to seeing it with the bbq pork, which this one was not that did not take away from how good it was. The Kung Pao chicken could have had the veggies chopped smaller, but it's no big deal, it had plenty of peanuts which was a nice surprise. The service was great our water cups were never empty and empty plates were collected at an appropriate time. The staff was kind and very inviting. The place itself is a little outdated but the service and food make up for it. We will most definitely be coming back to Wah Shine. Sorry no pics.

It's in a small strip mall across the street from the high school and there was a variety of choices but small in quantity. So small, the person before me had ordered all the fried rice in his two entree plate. However, they were quick to refill the rice. The lady that worked there was very friendly. She gave my girls some cookies and even gave me an extra egg roll with my order. They didn't have the salt and pepper fish when I came but when I inquired, they were quick to deliver. I ordered the vegetable chow mien, sweet and sour pork, and the s&p fish along with the fried rolls and fried potatoes stickers. The s&p fish was very good. I liked them enough that if I ever wanted them again I could be sure to order them again. The s&s pork was a bit cold as well as the noodles but I attribute that to the cold drive home. Besides, nothing a microwave can't fix. I like the fried roll and my husband enjoyed them. My girls ate the fried pot stickers so I'd have to say we were all pleased with the meal. There is no dining area, a large parking lot, and the store was clean.

It's like a panda express but better ! Their pricing is very good and the staff are extremely friendly. They don't speak English very well, but they are super nice and they really do try to communicate with you. They gave me free potstickers with my meal, super sweet! I ordered their Combo Plate- Meal C which is Fried Rice or Chowmein (or half and half) with 2 entrees. I did half and half with Hot and Spicy Chicken and Mongolian beef. They let me sample the food before ordering. Not to mention, they overstuffed the containers with food. This gave me 3 meals for just $11. On the side, I also ordered their Hot and Sour Soup and it was delicious. It's more on the sour side, but that's exactly how I like it. Hot and Spicy Chicken actually had a small kick to it. For the people who don't eat spicy food, I don't recommend ordering this as it will probably be too spicy. It had a ton of flavor and I would definitely order this again. Mongolian Beef has a ton of onions, per usual. It was packed full of flavor and the meat was very tender. Fried Rice and Chow Mein were both delicious. The fried rice had bbq pork in it which was a great addition. The chow mein noodles had a good texture to it. A little chewy but not too soft. I added sriracha to both and that just made it even more better. Overall, this is a cheap Chinese spot that's worth the money. They also offer party trays! Go show them some love!

They used to be decent, but unfortunately I was not impressed this time. I guess that's why I never think of coming here. Looking at Yelp, there was no recent menus, which is part of the reason I chose to get takeout here. I came in on a Sunday evening around 7pm and there was no one customers in the restaurant. There also was no one to greet customers I walked in. The lady working the front was in the kitchen and came out once she realized I had walked in. I decided to order the House Special Family Dinner for 3 at $17.25 per person. They have Gourmet Family Dinner at $17.99 per person, but the kids like the items in the House Special dinner more. The House Special Dinner comes with - Appetizers: Fried Prawns and Spring Rolls - Soup: Hot and Sour or Wonton - Entrees (for 3): Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Pork, King Pao Chicken - Steamed Rice and Fortune Cookies The food was just average as there is better Chinese food in Vacaville and surrounding areas. The negative: the fried prawns was replaced with fried cream cheese wontons (didn't realize until I was home), only had 2 spring rolls instead of 3 (didn't realize until I was home), was not given the option for hot and sour soup, steam rice was replaced with fried rice (didn't realize until not realize until I was home) which could be a positive or negative. Was told the takeout would be ready in 30 minutes and when I came back after 20-25 minutes the order was ready. I really wish the service, ambiance and food was better. I like the lemon and the orange chicken as it is not overwhelmingly covered with batter - the balance is just right. Sauces are sweet but not too much. Broccoli beef is good. It's garlicky which may be a plus or negative depending. The fried rice is good and has a decent amount of whatever style you choose. The chow fun, especially the pork, is a whole meal for two or a side for four. I love the rice noodles especially. The pork is flavorful. I've had the chicken, version, and it's just as good as the pork. Mild onions, bean sprouts, and a light soy based sauce is just right. The service has always been prompt and pleasant. To go orders are done relatively quickly, and special requests are honored (such as sauce on the side, no green onion, not spicy or extra spicy) are no problem, as long as they aren't too complicated. The restaurant is not fancy, but it is clean and simple. When I'm tired but need a good meal, Dragon Palace is a safe and satisfying choice. Prices are around average for most non-chain restaurants.
