Noodle King is located in a newly renovated section of the PATH. The spicy beef noodle is amazing. The flavour of the braised beef, and soup are wonderful. This is a place worth checking out, especially after the renovations to the dining area of this food court, it's no longer dark and sketchy, but bright and inviting. It's a bit hard to find at first since it is located in a food court within the PATH, but it's definitely recognizable once you see lots of people lining up at this spot for lunch! At first we were skeptical that a great wonton noodle shop could be located in a food court underground, but BOY were we mistaken! Get yourself over here because these are some of the damn best wontons I've had in my life. We ordered the pork wonton noodle soup and not only were the wontons super tender and flavorful, but the broth itself I very much enjoyed with the bit of bok choy that was included. For the price, flavor, and convenience, it's the perfect midday lunch or snack! The only thing I would ask for is a bit more stems of bok choy to be added since I love veggies in my noodle soup. I was also shocked with the system they have in order to tackle long lines and it is pretty efficient! The line moved quickly and we got our food very quickly too as they prepare it right in front of you and you pay right after at the cashier. Heard about this place as a really affordable hidden gem in the path. It's in the sketchier part of the path but apparently worth. I ordered their Shrimp Wonton soup with egg noodle and their wontons were pretty big relative to the serving size at other places in the path BUT I saw a review that it used to cost $8.19 in 2018 and I guess due to pandemic, I paid $14 and some cents for it. They take card but I paid in cash hoping for some 10% discount like at most asian places but nope lol. The soup was superrrrrrrrr salty and it was actually hard for me to finish. Portion size was pretty decent as I was too full to finish the entire bowl. I just think that $14 is now too close to everything else in the path I could get. Noodle King is a little bit hard to find for first-timers. However, it's a very well known shop in PATH that every office worker in the Downtown area should know. You get a bowl filled with customizeable noodles/meat that is instantly made within just 1-2 minutes. My favourite is the BBQ Chicken Noodle Soup. The chicken is tender and flavourful. The soup is so appetizing that you'd want to finish the whole bowl - including the soup. You are free to choose the type of noodle/meat you like which I think it's a plus. I personally love the chewiness of the wonton noodles. There's also nice chili sauce available on the side. Overall food portion is sufficient - just enough that you will still be able to work after. The best part is pricing. This whole bowl of goodness costs less than $10 with tax included. It's probably one of the best deals in PATH food court. Well, damn. This place is just too good to be stuck in a dimly lit food court with a dimly lit sign in the middle of almost nowhere. Of course, I've had it bookmarked for a pretty long time after seeing the outstanding reviews, but it took stumbling upon it by accident while getting lost in the PATH to actually try it out. Definitely one of the best hidden gems I've ever been to! The noodles are absolutely delicious, and the broth was so savoury I literally gulped it down. The shrimp wontons? Huge! I was really surprised to see the enormous pieces of shrimp packed in them. The vegetables were super fresh too - no wilted leaves here! And nothing tasted like the artificial or over-seasoned MSG filled stuff you might expect at a food court (or elsewhere). Can this place open up other locations already??? I was downtown at the office today after 1.5 years and thought about grabbing a shrimp wonton soup from NK, one of my favourite lunch spots while working at the office. When I arrived there were a few people in line, totally different from what I remember during the busy lunch crowd back then. The owner took my order and called it to the kitchen. They no longer have the many options (fish ball, chicken, duck etc.) displayed out front. I went with a half fish ball, half shrimp wonton soup. The seating area was pretty full, but we were able to find a spot for 4. There was actually no line when we arrived for a late lunch. The restaurant next to it (MR Souvlaki) had about 7 people in line, though. They offer different soup options (chicken broth, spicy broth, vegetable broth), meats (pork wonton, shrimp wonton, BBQ pork, spicy beef, brisket), and noodles (egg, thin rice, thick rice). They also offer the similar dishes with rice instead of noodles. My vegetarian friend was happy about the options here. Lunch at Noodle King is pretty cheap! Probably the cheapest I've been to in downtown Toronto. The egg noodle soup with pork wonton was about $5. It also comes with bok choy. Plus another $1 for a can of soda. The noodle soup was very good! The broth was good and they provided hot sauce if you want to spice it up. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the pork wonton were also good. Haven't been here in a year, and it's nice to see that their prices are still the same as before. Lines are long during lunch hour. Note that due to the floor-plan, and the fact that the food vendor next door also has huge lines, you may find yourself in the wrong line. Pay close attention to the direction of the traffic. Items range from $5 to $8, averaging $6 before tax. I usually pay cash. They used to charge extra 25 cents for using card, but not sure if they still do it. They had a little hand-written sign put up on the side but I didn't see it this time. The line moves fast. Pick your rice or noodles (4 kinds), pick your meat/vegetables, then proceed to pay for it. There are some condiments on the side if you need some extra flavor. Whole process usually lasts 20-30 seconds. Portion size isn't too bad: you get your rice or noodles, decent amount of meat, and some fresh vegetables. Taste's alright. Not too oily. Food court gets busy during lunch, so finding a seat may be challenging. If you're planning to eat there, I would recommend just getting it to go and walking over to another food court a few minutes away which usually has more seats. Unless you're heading to chinatown, this is probably the next cheapest place for a bowl of rice or noodles with meat and veggies. read more

So this is a hidden gem buried under the Sheraton hotel. I usually go here before catching a show at the Four Seasons. It's the smallest crappiest food court that one could imagine. I think there are 5 stalls. A subway, hero burger, a random Greek place and another place I can't remember. Then there's this place. Family run joint service up awesome bowls of noodle soup and other dishes. I only have ordered the vegetarian noodle soup (with egg noodles - my fave). Firstly, it's a huge portion with lots of veggies. Secondly it is loaded with veggies and fresh tofu. Thirdly it's cheap. $6 for a humongous portion. Fourthly it's very flavourful. Fifthly, the owners are really nice. Sixthly, there's no wait. Seventhly the broth is absolutely delicious. Eighthly, you should check out this hidden gem. Love this little gem in the Financial District. A coworker took me here when we were talking about food and how I missed eating shrimp wonton in Central, Hong Kong. Not the same but still very very delicious! $5.77 gets you a bowl of 5 shrimp wonton, Veg and Soup--not too shabby for the core. I have tried their beef brisket with Ho Fun noodles and that was delicious too. The boss is a Chinese man who sits there and takes your order, very nice man. I don't speak Chinese and very comfortable ordering. It is my go to for my team twice a week! While all other buildings are renovating to make their food courts look nicer, this food court looks like it has not changed for decades. Noodle King has the longest line in the food court and the you'll see the most asians in a food court in all of the Path. Its basically the chipotle idea of fast food before chipotle. Pick your noodle, pick your toppings and go. I've tried various noodles and my favorite is still the egg noodles. Wontons are my favorite topping. The cha-sui, roast duck and roast chicken are all a bit sub-par. Its not bad considering youre paying $6-$7 for lunch, but really not that great. The man who makes the noodles every day is somewhat of a legend. He times everything by feel and works very quickly, multi-tasking multiple orders at once. Hes provides quick, but friendly service and is still nice to new customers who come undecided even after waiting in line for 10 minutes. The line was fairly short as I managed to avoid the lunch rush at 1:30PM as it was a long weekend on a Friday. The service is always efficient and you don't have to wait long to get your hot delicious bowl. Most of their toppings are on display including the veggies, proteins (fish balls, beef balls, chicken leg) etc. The noodles are pre-cooked then heated up quickly in a vat of hot water then transferred to a bowl of steaming soup. This time around I got fish balls with egg noodles. There was an abundance of fish balls with chewy egg noodles. The soup was subtly flavored which I always douse in hot sauce. Perfect lunch meal that doesn't leave you too full but enough to satisfy cravings. Total came to about $7! read more

This is my new and fave go-to lunch spot on work days not only because it's a convenient 30 second walk from my office, but because it's cheap and delicious! I've tried a number of their menu options and noodle selections, but my favourite has to be the pork wonton noodle soup with egg noodles. The pork wontons are huge and juicy, packed with lots of flavour. The wonton wrapper is a bit thicker than normal wrappers, but I think this helps keep the flavour packed in. You get 5 of these in the dish and it also comes with 2 stalks of bok choy and 1 stalk of broccoli along with your choice of noodles and broth. Not a fan of the rice noodles (thin or thick) as they do not retain any of the flavour from the broth and are quite bland to eat on its own. But the egg noodles are great as they do hold in the rich and flavourful and not too salty broth. The portion of this dish is huge as well as it leaves me struggling to finish the whole bowl! Such a steal for only $7.41 after tax I might add. Don't be discouraged by the long lines or shady food court location - this place is really a hidden gem and the lines move fast. This place embodies everything that I look for in a restaurant: delicious food at a great value. The first time we went, we tried the spicy beef noodle soup and the barbecued duck noodle soup. That really made a big difference! The pieces of duck that they put into the soup were very generous. At any other place, the duck by itself would have cost the price of the soup.
