Food tastes like hospital food, noodles aren't fresh, chicken is frozen and sauce tastes like kraft Mac and cheese. Don't eat here

This was my first visit to Noodles & Company. We got our order to go. It was fairly busy but they did a good job of social distancing and all staff were wearing masks. I got the Penne Rosa but substituted the any noodle cauliflower rigatoni. The pasta was tasty and had good texture. Standard portions and the price was reasonable. The food was not exceptional, hence the 4 stars. Plus I'm not crazy about the location. Next time we'll call ahead for our order to go. Note: you have to ask for napkins and forks.

We came in to try this place out, we are first timers and Tamara was a staff member that helped us. She was so friendly and took the time to know about us. She even upgraded our drink because my wife and I were sharing. She invited us to come visit next time we come back and she said "welcome to Idaho!" Small things like this makes our day memorable. We never been to Idaho until today and Tamara was the highlight to our visit. Please praise her for all her hard work. I witness her clearing and cleaning tables. She also came to our table to ask us how are food tasted! That is excellent customer service!

Noodles provides solid eats at reasonable prices. They are a great alternative to the more customary burger/fry faire of traditional fast foodish restaurants. Came here on a Friday night. We had a child in our party who enjoyed the Wisconsin Mac & cheese with much lip smacking delight. I ordered the small Mac & cheese, a caesar salad, and a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It was all a-ok! The mac & cheese swimming in creamy, cheesy sauce and covered in shredded cheese. The caesar was decent and fresh. My dining companion (the grown-up one) reported their Pad Thai to be solid. The service was very friendly and efficient. To sum up: Kid friendly eats, beer/wine as an option, and fast and friendly service. I'll take it!

56th person to Review Noodles & Company near the Boise Mall on Milwaukee St. This is my 416th Yelp review. My first experience with Noodles & Company was at a Yelp event at the Harley Davidson center. They had a booth and let us sample a couple of their kinds of pasta. I really enjoyed it and wanted more, yet never made it that way. After well over a year of "meaning" to try it, I did it! I met two people for lunch and we chose to sit outside on their patio facing Milwaukee St. I was craving pasta, yet trying to avoid carbs and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they now make their pasts with veggies, too. You can get zucchini noodles in place of the noodle! Yes!! We got the chicken curry, mac n cheese, pot stickers (6 for $5), Asian meatballs (10 for $5), and steak stroganoff. All very good. I. Want. More! After we ordered, we were given a number and to select a seat. We chose the patio. My friend, who ordered her food before me, waited 5 additional minutes for her food to arrive. Now its counter service so the people making the food wouldn't have known we were at the same table, but it still sucked. So not docking them for this. What I am docking them was the cleanliness of the soda/silverware station-- kinda gross. Generally, if the mess looked fresh or is customer caused and they're slammed kind of a way I get that, but this looked simply unclean... standing water next to the lids and behind the to-go boxes, water stains, and some dried on food. Other than this area, it would have been a 5 star great experience for me. I plan to eat here again soon!

I'm confused at how many people were in the restaurant when I visited. Location/cleanliness: This was fine, clearly what was once an even "faster food" joint, the location was relatively clean. Employees: The gal who checked us out was very friendly and helpful, positives!! Food: This is where the 2 stars really kicks in. I ordered the truffle zucchini mac'n'cheese (okay I know, what was I expecting?!) and what came out was a strange truffle flavored cheese soup with an afterthought of zucchini. Intending on trying a couple of dishes I also ordered the green curry which was lackluster at best and at worse kind of a travesty to call it green curry. Listen, what do you expect when you can order Italian, Korean, BBQ, Thai, etc all on the same "fast-ish" food menu? I should have known better! Go to a real Thai or Italian restaurant, in fact Bangkok Thai is 100 feet away and is brilliant.

Super bland and way over priced for what you get. I probably shouldn't be surprised. I wanted to give it a shot but once was enough.

Although this is 30 minutes from our front door, it is our go to when we're looking for pastured pork or poultry products. (We don't eat beef but they have that too.) If they had a good selection of local lamb cuts it would be golden for us - our favorite protein - but it is a harder sell for them so they carry less. (Americans consume on average only 1 pound of lamb / person / year. And about 97 pounds of chicken per person annually. Both are shocking numbers.) We purchased bone-in pork shoulder from Malheur which I boned and cut up for Asado de Bodas (aka Mexican wedding stew, I think, sort of mole meets asado de puerco) cutting off the beautiful fresh fat cap to render down for sauteing the veg, and using the bone to make a pork broth to freeze for pozole sometime in the future. And if you like to cook Italian food, Malheur made jowl bacon (otherwise known in Italy as guanciale) this winter which was sold here and is THE perfect thing for carbonara and Amatriciana sauces. My Brooklyn born hubby is Italian heritage and grew up with an Italian speaking nonna in the kitchen so we have used a lot of guanciale - not in Boise though where it is hard to find - and this is the best we have ever used. Still not carrying much fresh market produce but they have added Acme Bread to the line up and on Saturdays I think Acme rotates in a special kind of loaf. From time to time they have had "meet the maker" tastings on Saturdays for some of the vendors they carry. And here's a tip you'll thank me for - if they have local Morning Star Acres jam on the shelf, buy it. Especially the huckleberry! SERVICE: The owner is on site almost all the time, very friendly, very responsive to FB messaging if you have questions about something in stock and always able to help by phone too before making a trip if you're looking for something specific. SET UP: Small but with a good expanse of windows it is light and bright and well organized with refrigerator / freezer case along one wall, larder / pantry shelving next to that with food products for sale and other items - like local artists and crafters goods for sale- also placed around the store. ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking correctly designed for van access striping on the passenger side adjacent to building. Small ramp up to sidewalk. All on one floor. Ample floor clearance. The loo fails ADA and Idaho code compliance with counters and towel dispenser too high. The eat in counter has only high stool level seating so inaccessible. The ADA is 30 years old in July and it is past time to get this right everywhere for equal access. (Yep. I have a dog in this hunt since I have had MS since college.) LOCATION: In the Bench neighborhood right across from Idaho Youth Ranch thrift shop and just next door to a Vincent St. Paul sales store. PARKING: Private lot has about 15 parking spaces.

Luckily I was there that day and was able to snag a chocolate bar. I remember it being so good! I thought today was a good day for a sweet treat so I made my way in! My husband's request was an apple fritter if they had any. I came in later in the afternoon and surprisingly there were still quite a few donuts available. I was happy that there was quite a selection still. They all looked so good! Even the classic glazed looked tasty. After looking over the goodies, I decided on a half dozen of mixed donuts. The sweet lady behind the counter was so patient with me as I was looking and second guessing my choices. With the mixed variety you get 3 classic, 2 specialty and 1 extra fancy donut. I snagged a round glazed, a chocolate and maple bar, 2 apple fritters and a fancy donut with cream and strawberries on top. I was planning on giving 3 of the goodies to my in laws. I asked the sweet lady for an extra box and with no hesitation she grabbed it got me. I was able to get my goodies sorted. I dropped off the maple bar, an apple fritter and the cream and strawberry donut to my in laws. My father in law loves apple fritters and didn't hesitate to grab it from the box and claim it right away. 0 He enjoyed half of it and is saving the other half for later. Nothing but great things were said about his treat. I forgot to mention earlier that the sweet lady gave me two donut holes in my box. I snacked on those and mannnnn were they good! They were so soft and sweet. I just wanted a little something so it was perfect! My husband devoured his apple fritter. I didn't even get a bite! I'm happy he enjoyed it! I was recently at Krispy Kreme and honestly the donut I got tasted stale. Like it had been sitting out for more than a day. I only had 2 small donut holes and they blew Krispy Kreme out of the water, it was night and day. I'm happy I got to stop in today and grab some goodies. The donuts were amazing! The service was great! And I got to support a local business in my area! I look forward to coming back and grabbing more treats for my family/friends sometime soon.

On the morning we stopped in there weren't a lot of choices and judging by the size of the cases on the counter that's typical. We tried buttermilk, cream puff, strawberry frosted heart shaped donuts and a glazed croissant. My daughter rated the cream puff donut a solid 5 star! I give major props to that little glazed croissant- it was delicious but I also appreciate that it wasn't huge. I felt satisfied but not sickly full afterward. I tried the buttermilk later in the day and it wasn't okay, the frosted donut for a similar review from my daughter- like, solid food donuts but nothing we couldn't find at the local grocery store bakery. Worth the stop if you're in the immediate area, not a destination spot though.
