    Chicken pad Thai
    Genovese L.

Came here with a party of 3 for dinner on a Sunday evening and this place was pretty packed! Luckily, we didn't have a hard time finding parking and we only waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated. The service was quick and friendly! I ordered the chicken pad Thai with medium spice. For a frame of reference, my upper limit is hot Cheetos and the medium spice here definitely was skirting on that edge, but I could've handle more spice. The pad Thai itself was great! It was a perfect portion in my opinion. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Well the shrimp "summer rolls" are SO GOOD that we forgot to get a pic but trust me, you want them. So fresh and delicious. We bring our kiddo here every couple months and it never disappoints! Red curry is delicious, I get either chicken or tofu. The kids menu chicken pad Thai is a decent portion also. If you like spicy, the chili oil that they make is super good! Service is great also, they pretty much know our order by now and have good suggestions if we ever want to switch it up.

Food and services was amazing! Wings were saucy and delicious. Papaya salad was 10/10. Great flavor and crunch. Pad thai was good! Nothing out of the ordinary though and beef was delicious. Will definitely be coming back

Found this little gem of a place on a moments notice. Fortunately I missed the mad rush for lunch so the service was great and food came out fast. Started with the Tom Yum soup with shrimp. It was perfect. Then I had the green curry with shrimp. The serving of Jasmine rice was about the size of a softball! Very generous! The curry was nice and creamy and not too spicy. They did it right and the mix of veggies in it was great. Not overloaded with bamboo (thank God). Anyhow, the food was amazing and service was great. Would totally go back again. Ignore the warning in possible slow service they have when you walk in. They pulled it off today!

Quick service, delicious food, great price for what you get. Love the Tom Kha coconut soup!

Menu prices deceptively low and small portions!

You might wanna skip this place. It's messy inside and my phone order was more than the menu price and looked more like a tiny lunch portion instead of dinner. When I asked the staff person (who said she was a manager) why the order was more than the online menu price, she simply said "oh"... and walked away to get my order. Came back and rang me up for a dollar more, never offering an explanation. It's this simple - if you're going to raise prices, you need to update your online menus. It's not that difficult. Anything else is basically... dishonest. Perhaps the worst part if I could look past the very messy inside of the restaurant, carpet unswept and cardboard boxes and plastic wrap trash sitting in well view of the entry, is the small portion sizes. I was STUNNED at how small my order was for $15 bucks. I've eaten at Thai and Chinese restaurants all over the West & West Coast and rarely have problems, but this is my most disappointing experience yet. The carry-out box was not even half full; a ridiculously small entree for this price. The taste? Nothing special. I can cook beef and soy sauce at home, I'm looking for that special "Thai" taste but didn't find it here. I usually like to give a place more than one chance before leaving a bad review but with this many issues in one visit, there is no reason for me to return. Totally not worth it.

    Pathetic Lettuce wrap dish

We were seated quickly at 5:30 on a Friday night. Nice Thai style decor and lighting. That is the best part about this place. Only half full at this hour we waited at our table for a server for quite some time. About 5:45 a server came over and took our order. We ordered an appetizer of lettuce wraps, 2 water, saki, and 3 entrees with a 2* spice. When she left the table my husband said" well she is not in a good mood is she"? To which I replied no she definitely is not, I hope the rest of the night is not like this. Well, it was. After walking away we did not see her again. About 15 minutes passed without getting our drinks. Another table next to us sat down about and had their drinks almost immediately with another server. I asked that server if he would have our server bring our drinks. He went and got our drinks for us and apologized. Another guy brought our sorry looking lettuce wraps a few minutes later. As seen in the picture there is no way to wrap anything. This was served with a 4"x4" triangle chunk of iceberg lettuce, mostly which was yellow. Not a good start with the food. At 6:25 our entrees finally came by way of another person who set them on the table and started to walk away. We called back after him as we had no plates, napkins or serving utensils. He apologized and went to get them for us. The veggie stir fry was pretty good and spiced as we like, about a 2*. The Drunken noodles were not fully cooked and had 0 flavor and 0 spice. Had a bit or 2 and left it. Lastly we ordered a Chicken Fried Rice. While it was a good fried rice, there was 0 spice. Our server never came back to check on us, fill our water or take our empty plates. We sat there, never seeing our server again waiting for someone to help. Finally the hostess walked by and I had to ask her to send our server as we had not seen her since she took our order. She went to the kitchen and I saw her talking to the server but she still did not come over. Some else brought our bill. We paid and were leaving when miraculously our server came over and apologized for not being around. That was an understatement. She gave her reason that she was an expeditor not a server and she was busy with to go orders. Well, if you are not a server don't take our order and leave us stranded. Not a good experience and we will go elsewhere in the future.

I loved Thai Basil. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the decorations give it a good vibe. They have a variety of options on their menu. We got the chicken pad Thai as well as the cashew chicken. I asked to add a little spice to the pad Thai. She said she would do a two star. I agreed but assumed it was out of a five star scale. It turns out the spice level is out of 3 stars. It was very spicy. I like spice and it was almost too much for me, I drank at least 3 waters. I would order it again with a lesser spice level!

Get ready to tantalize your taste buds!…read more I visited this place on an early Sunday evening around 5 p.m. It wasn't too crowded, but it was bustling with DoorDash orders. I was introduced to this spot by DoorDash, and I was eager to try the restaurant for the fresh-cooked food experience. The hostess greeted me right away and showed me where to sit. Since I had walked over 2 miles to get here, I wanted to be seated rather than at one of the bar tables. If you're a fan of Thai food, this might just be your favorite place in Boise! It's got a nice vibe, and I noticed that the tables and chairs are cleaned after each visit. Everything is very clean and classy, even the restroom. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but not too flashy. Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp 5/5 Spring mix, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, mint, rice noodles, and avocado wrapped in rice, served with peanut sauce or spicy Thai seafood sauce (add Shrimp for $2 extra). These are like a delicious, fresh, hand-held salad wrapped in rice paper. They're not fried, but fresh my favorite way to enjoy them. They also have Crispy Rolls, but I prefer the fresh ones. These are especially great on a hot summer day! They come with two dipping sauces: a peanut one and a lemony butter sauce. I know I'm different, but I like the lemony butter sauce instead of the peanut sauce. Pad See Ew 5/5 Stir-fried flat rice noodles with egg, carrot, broccoli in sweet black soy sauce, with your choice of meat. I tried it with seafood once and with veggies and beef another time. Always delish! Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) 3/5 Stir-fried flat rice noodles with green bean, bell pepper, Thai herbs, chilies, and basil, with your choice of meat. I've had mine with chicken, but this one's my least favorite because I thought some of the pieces were a bit too dry. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I didn't eat a few because they were tough. Since it was my second time, I didn't want to complain then, but maybe I should have mentioned it. Mistakes happen to everyone, so sorry for not bringing this up sooner. Slice of Cucumber Salad 16 oz 5/5 Thinly sliced cucumbers, red onions, and carrots, usually dressed in a light, sweet, and sour vinaigrette. This is a favorite of mine. To me a unique recipe! Fried Wings 5/5 Nice crispy, tender, and nicely fried chicken. Deep fried marinated Thai-style bone-in chicken wings served with sweet chili and sour sauce. So tender and juicy, yummy! Coconut Shrimp 5/5 Deep fried coconut shrimp served with spicy mayo sauce. Freshly made Sangria 5/5 Cold and delicious. The Game Changers: I appreciate that you can review your order before paying. I like the digital system, and what's more important, they ask for feedback right away. I think that's pretty cool and admirable. They want to know upfront if they've done anything that made you have a bad experience. I also like that they're linked up with Toast for loyalty reward points. Basically, for every dollar you spend, you can get a reward. I really think this is a great feature that the restaurant has that I haven't seen anyone comment on, but to me, it's a great benefit for the customer. Don't worry if you don't have a Toast account; I believe you can get one at their checkout process by providing your phone number. I already had a Toast account, so I might be mistaken. Just ask at checkout, and they will explain to you. They sanitize the tables after each use. They have chopsticks. The owners are from Thailand, and they have a great kitchen staff. The kitchen team includes Chef Wan and Chef Pronyanee. Chef Wan and Chef Pronyanee come from the northern province of Thailand. Chef Pitsy (Owner) is also from the northern province of Thailand. The restrooms are super clean. So customers and staff can wash their hands and keep the place as germ free as possible. I have gone to the restaurant three times so far and I think it's the one of if not the best Thai restaurant in Boise! (I haven't been to them all) As Arnold Schwarzenegger, character in the Terminator movie would say," I'll be back."

I got the lunch pad Thai with fried tofu. Grandma got fried tofu with mixed vegetables. I asked for her veggies to be cooked longer so she can chew them easier. We were served rice soup for the 4 of us. Grandma got her lunch first since she's vegan and couldn't have the soup. I thought was was really kind of them to do that! Grandma didn't have to be left out. She ate a good portion of her veggies and rice noodles. She was a happy clam. My pad Thai was perfection! It was saucy, it had a good amount of bean sprouts and tofu. And the heat level was nice! My favorite is adding the fresh squeezed lime juice into the noodles. It's so good! They operated out of one of the 17 ghost kitchens in what was the former CRAVE! Delivery kitchens in maybe 2024. (Honestly, the original owner of this original ghost complex added the naming emphasis but the original line up and the one that followed was a terrible disaster.)
