Ambiance was great! We had reservations and they sat up promptly after we arrived. The food was great and the tiramisu was DELICIOUS. Our drink order did get lost and our second appetizer they forgot about but we were chatting so it didn't matter much to us. The waitress did discount it due to them forgetting about it. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

Flavor (5/5): Pasta here was on point! Perfectly cooked, pesto coated each noodle and the shrimp was juicy and not over done! I can see why this was marked as a favorite on their menu. Even one bruschetta as an appetizer was refreshing and bright with acidity. Instagram Worthy (4/5): Their ceiling hangs all these sport jerseys, very small restaurant but quaint. Their food presentation is also very simple but the food speaks for itself! Service (5/5): We called ahead to see if there was a wait on a weekend night and they told us not if we hurry up haha. Very classic Italian response. We got our orders taken and food car out promptly. They even threw in a free dessert for our friend's birthday. Takeaways: Street parking! Solid spot for pasta, one of our favorite meals this trip in Oregon.

I cannot rave enough about this place. My husband and I were arguing over what to eat for dinner. We found this place and decided to give it a try. We were seated promptly despite it being a full house. The place was lined with soccer jerseys which quickly caught our attention (huge soccer fans), which made for great small talk. The food however, was like love on a fork. You did not want to stop eating. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavors combined so well it was pure comfort in every bite. We are already trying to decide what to get next time we come which I hope to be soon, like before the week ends soon! Don't pass up this place if you enjoy Italian food.

I wanted to like this restaurant so badly. Some of the staff spoke Italian so I thought, surely, this is going to be so authentic. Ambiance: fun and very cozy Service: if I could give service 10 stars, I would. The staff was nice and accommodating to guests at tables we saw, including ours. They packed extra olive oil for the bread we took to go. Food: we order the Papardelle and asked to substitute the rigatoni bolognese pasta with the house made linguini pasta. Housemade, right?!? The sauce was solid. However, I was so disappointed that the pasta was over cooked. We went to several regions in Italy and no where did we taste pasta that was over cooked. The linguine looked like it was broken down to bits vs a longer strand.

lol for the price I would say 4/10

I'm from Spain traveling around USA I went to piazza Italia with my friends for dinner it wasn't good all the opposite it was bad idk what's the hype with this place I thought it was gonna be good because it's one of the few Italian restaurants that it has good reviews but no so if u have good taste and u like enyoing a good Italian place dont come here

Piazza Italia is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. It's a small one, and is always busy so expect to be on a wait list. The good news is, they will give you call when your table is ready, and with so many bars nearby, you can stop and get a quick drink before dinner. I got the pappardelle al cinghiale which is my absolute go to. And it hits every time!

Dearest gentle readers,…read more A most scandalous correction must be issued how careless of me. The establishment in question is none other than the divine Grassa, a name that now rolls off the tongue with the same richness as its most indulgent fare. And oh, what fare it is. Here, along the lively stretch of Portland, one may witness noodles brought to life before their very eyes fresh, authentic, and handled with a confidence that borders on audacity. These delicate strands are then enrobed in a mac and cheese so decadently composed, so brazenly elevated, that it dares to redefine comfort itself. And just when one believes it cannot be improved enter the pig belly. Crisp, tender, and unapologetically rich... a finishing touch that transforms the dish into something whispered about in only the most exclusive of circles. Yes, dear reader, this is the sort of indulgence that lingers long after the final bite... the kind that ruins lesser versions without remorse. And so, with that final truth properly set, I take my leave once more. The tales of this fair city draw to a close, but not without leaving behind a most delicious legacy. Until our next adventure ever eastward. Yours most faithfully,

The food was freshly prepared and served promptly to the table. They have a selection of alcoholic beverages as well. Who is very friendly and paid us a visit during our recent and superb happy hour outing. I needed a place within walking distance from my place and also needed something vegan friendly for my friend Nadia. She ordered the magherita pizza without cheese. Aria ordered the gnocchi. I went with the mozerella stuffed ravioli. Portions were generous. Everyone but me was able to finish theirs. I just couldn't manage to eat the last one. The bartender, God bless her, whipped up a spirit forward absinthe cocktail for me that just rocked. There is a long bar and several cozy booths. The verdict: Gilda's is a top notch happy hour spot. Happy hour goes from 4-6. Hit it up y'all. 2026 - Review # 11

The restaurant is not huge, but has a fun looking bar down the ramp. Our server, J Doogles was tremendous. He very nicely corrected our pronunciation of Gilda's. It is actually pronounced with a J---Jilda's. His timing was perfect. We were waiting for a friend to join us, and he ended up being confused and missed our wonderful dinner. We arrived early and my wife had a Manhattan...with 4 cherries. I had the bartender recommended Vino Nobile. After we realized, our friend was not arriving, we went ahead and ordered. Started with a great bottle of Super Tuscan Campo. So Great. We then had the bread service with Olive Tapenade Oil. Extremely tasty. Also the Arancini's besides being so full of flavor, were huge. I had the Classic Rigatoni Bolognese and my wife had the Tagliatelle Americano. Both were so well prepared. We were full but had to have the Cannoli after our dinner. Oh my...so good. Thanks again J Doogles for being patient with us, thanks to the wonderful cooks who prepared an excellent meal. We will be back.
