The only seating available was the bar but hey that's fine with me. If you're a party expect a bit of a wait, didn't look too bad. Ordered their lamb gyro, fries, 8oz beer on the side. The lamb was great, marinated nicely and grilled to perfection. Tzatziki was delicious and complemented the gyro nicely. Tasty and relatively fast (I was in and out in 30 minutes, and it was pretty busy). Fries were limp...single fried, meh. May have been sitting around a bit; unimpressive. In all, great little place to swing through and only a couple minutes off 217/26. Lots of other good stuff on the menu to try next time I'm back. read more

What a great find! This place has great mediterranean food and a full bar. The service was excellent! I highly recommend the Pimm's Cup and Jalapeño Margarita. Their greek salad was full of flavor and fresh! My son doesn't usually like salad, but this one was so delicious that he went for seconds. The amount of olives and feta cheese were perfect. The pita bread comes out warm, which was so good with the tzatziki sauce. The meats were tender and delicious. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Beaverton. read more

Food was excellent and conveniently located near my sister's new spot. Especially loved the lentil soup & the baba ghanouj, extremely flavorful. My family also commented that the falafels were amazing. Where this place struggles is the service. We ordered takeout & when we went to pick it up, quite frankly the process was a hot mess. The servers didn't know which food was ours, two separate employees tried to charge us for our order at different times, & it didn't seem to be isolated to just as us there was another group also waiting on their takeout order who appeared to be going through the same hassles. I'd definitely try this place again the next time I'm in the area, but hopeful for a little bit better service. If they can improve that, this place would shine! read more

I love this place. One of my fav spots in Beaverton. The tzatziki is to die for, and the hummus is so creamy it's unreal. The hummus comes with fresh, hot, delicious pita and that's a meal in and of itself for my kids. I wish they didn't charge $1 for extra tzatziki cause they give you a small portion and I want every single bite just swimming in it. My fav dishes -gyro. Get the chicken. (I haven't tried the lamb, but the meat in the beef one was weird.) -chicken souvlaki. I grab a couple of skewers a la carte every time because it's just the best and I don't need the huge plate of rice that comes with the entree. -Saganaki. It's fried cheese.. and yes, it's as good as it sounds. -garlic shrimp. Simple, fresh, garlicky, delicious. Small portion of shrimp tho. I do wish the menu was a little more descriptive. My wife and I were craving Mediterranean food and we found this place so we gave it a try. Since our initial visit, we have since gone back because, to put it simply, their food is really good! All four times we've ordered our food To-Go (for pick-up). Their website makes it very easy to do. Items are always well packaged and marked and not once did they ever get an order wrong. As I mentioned, we always do a pick-up order but it's worth mentioning that this place is always packed and happening when I pick up my order... so I think it's a testament how good this place is. Parking is ample, too, considering the restaurant is located in a huge shopping center. Service is always great! All the employees that I've interacted with are so friendly and even went above and beyond by keeping me posted when my order was being delayed. They even offered me a beverage once while I waited. Here are my recommended dishes... give them a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed: * Hand-cut Fries. These are surprisingly delicious! They have such a good flavor and they even managed to survive the car rides home. They maintained their crispness! It's good with the pita sandwiches or even by themselves! * Hummus & Pita. Ordering this was a no-brainer and I'm happy to report that it's really delicious. It always comes with a good amount of pita too! * Saffron Chicken Kabob. This is my go-to dish! The chicken is so delicious and tender and it comes with a great portion of rice. * Pita Sandwiches. Generally, I'm not a fan of pita sandwiches so I tend to avoid those. However, my wife (who is a fan) loves their Falafel Sandwich! * Greek Salad. Their veggies taste fresh and the dressing wasn't overpowering at all. In fact, it's a great palette cleanser in between eating all my warm foods. I would definitely get this with every order! * Lastly, Calamari. I order this appetizer every time a restaurant offers it on their menu so of course I had to get it here and it was pretty damn good! I highly recommend it! Similar to their fries, they maintain their crispiness. And finally, my reviews wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention if they serve Coca-Cola products or not. Heard good things about this place from local Iranian community so was very excited to try and indeed they're really good! Popping on a Friday dinner, staffs were all busy serving and prepping delicious food. We split the Kabob Barg and Koobideh. They're both very well-cooked, seasoned, and tender but the winner goes to the Koobideh for me. Super, super juicy. You can actually see the owner/chef cooking everything fresh from behind the counter. The dishes were served with saffron rice and salad. The salad was a sleeper hit! Super flavorful and herby. I would gladly just do salad for my plate next time. They got other interesting appetizers and main on offer as well but the grilled plates were definitely their specialty. For large gatherings where we don't want to cook, this is one of the restaurants we go to because you can select an assortment of dishes that works for everyone's palettes - vegetarian, glute free, keto, carnivores - everyone can assemble their own perfect meal. We have ordered from Blue Olive for several events, most recently a baby shower. The chicken kabobs (without the skewers) were fantastic, the chicken perfectly cooked and so tender. It went well with the big bowl of creamy tzatzikI. The Greek salad was also a big hit, lots of feta mixed in with the tomatoes, cucumber and romaine lettuce. While most Greek salads leave out the lettuce, we like that theirs includes it. The salad can be a meal in itself. The hummus is good, not great, needs more lemon and garlic imo. The rice was plain, didn't have the saffron flavor that I prefer. The lamb shank is tender, the meat falling right off the bone and the sauce tangy and flavorful. The pita has a slightly sweet taste. Went out for a casual date with my husband on a Saturday night - Blu Olive was packed and there was a 40min wait, so we put in our name and went a few doors down to Market of Choice for a drink at their beer/wine bar (highly recommend that too!). When it was finally time for our table, we enjoyed looking over the menu that was clearly labeled with Gluten Free and Vegetarian/Vegan options. Both of us have food sensitivities and it's always refreshing to find a place that clearly labels their whole menu! When our food arrived it was delicious and fresh. Blu Olive is very noisy but makes fantastic food. So, we tend to call in our weekly order and pickup. Our favorite items are the rack of lamb, garlic shrimp, Persian lentil soup and jalapeno hummus. Also get the Greek salad but add the feta and olives side dish into the mix for more flavor. Also love the Persian Rose Saffron ice cream and the baklava (which includes pistachios). For children who want something more familiar, there are also hamburgers. In sum, Blu Olive makes a nice multigenerational dining spot. Love it!! read more

What a great place to taste the Mediterranean and Persian cuisines. From Gyros to souvlaki to kabobs and baklava, this place has it. We started with the rice & herb stuffed grape leaves and then tried the Persian "saffron chicken with rice" and the "Soltani" which consists of a ground beef kabob and a fillet of beef kabob. All three versions of kabobs were done to perfection and were juicy and tender. The basmati saffron rice was full of flavor, fluffy and not a bit sticky. The home made deserts consisted of Persian saffron ice cream with a hint of rose water and Italian strawberry gelato. The gelato specially was made with fresh strawberries and tasted delicious. Definitely one of the top Mediterranean restaurants on the west side of Portland. The ambiance, service, and quality of food was reasonably priced, amazingly delicious, and beautifully presented.
