Made a point to look out for the grand reopening on Blutos in Beaverton and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to stop in just about as soon as it was announced! Saturday night was still easy to grab a seat and fast service receiving our dishes. Everything was so flavorful and hearty from the hummus to the fries to the skewers to the salad. After enjoying our dinner and our Greek to Me cucumber coolers, we got back in line to try the swirled soft serve with chocolate tahini magic shell. A great way to end the meal! read more

I stumbled across this Bluto's location randomly and after hearing overwhelmingly positive things about the original Portland restaurant I figured I had to try it. In short, it lived up to the hype. The inside is modern, open, and inviting. It is more casual as you go up to order and its focused on small plates and sharing dishes. I got the seasonal squash hummus and was genuinely blown away. It had a unique caramelized squash flavor, nuttiness from the hazelnuts, brightness from the pomegranate seeds, and overall was rich and creamy. I do wish the bread came with the hummus and didn't have to be ordered separately (you need 1-2 pieces per person). I also got the lentils with zucchini, which was solid and came with a quite large portion. The spanakopita hand pie was a great sweet and salty pastry. read more

Love this restaurant! The food was delicious. Ordering the hummus and the bread is a must. It is really filling and can easily be split between three people. Everything on the menu looks great and they have soft serve ice cream! Inside is really pretty, too! Service is casual here. We've eaten at the SE location and loved it but haven't gone as much since we're on the west sides. So happy it's here! It's located in such a fitting location, the two restaurants across the playground are so good as well. The food is just as good or even better than I remembered as the east side. Each skewer comes with spices pickled veggies that I enjoyed just as much as the skewers itself. Loved their kinda spicy pickles and their pickled celery! My kids devoured their wedge salad as soon as it came out so it's the dish with no good pictured. The sauce on the shrimp was so tasty. Everything perfectly seasoned and fire grilledz. The store beautiful but didn't feel too fancy for my wild children. The playground in the front was perfect to finish our dinner in peace. Service was excellent. read more

"Those pickles aren't f**king around!" They were intensely garlicky and spicy. Fantastic if you like that sort of thing. We were enchanted by the warm little pitas (order yours separate - they do not come with the meal) which were baked to perfection. The lamb and pork sausage skewers were both amazing. The wedge salad was delightful. The hummus was so fresh and wonderful. We were full, but had to try the soft serve ice cream with chocolate magic shell and pistachios. It did not disappoint, and we somehow managed to find room. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The space is open with unique architecture and a high curved ceiling. We will be back! read more

Well made food with good flavors. Got the hummus, pita, Greek fries, and an order each of the lamb, sausage, and chicken souvlaki. The hummus was smooth and creamy, and pairs well with the fluffy pita. The Greek fries have lemon zest sprinkled on top which took me by surprise, but adds a refreshing brightness. If I were to go back for anything it would be their soft serve. It was so good that we ordered one to share and ended up ordering one more. Definitely get the magic shell with pistachios! The protein is a bit over priced considering how small the skewers are. The lamb was my least favorite, and I love lamb. I really enjoyed the shrimp and sausage! I'm not a salad person but their salads were delicious and I'd definitely get them again! We got the wedge salad and the pear and arugula! The fries were also great. It is nice that they opened up in Downtown Beaverton in the old Afuri spot. The place is still spacious as before with very minimal changes. You order at the counter and then find a seat. If you want more food, they have a separate line to order at. The plates are on the smaller side, almost like tapas style, so it's good to be able to try many things. We ordered a good variety of food (can add up) to share. I really liked their hummus and tzatziki. The tzatziki was super refreshing and good well with almost anything. The pear and arugula salad was also addition. The sausage and chicken skewers were flavorful. The pork chop was a bit dry for me, but great when dipped with the tzatziki. Bluto's is a cool addition to the heart of downtown Beaverton. i have lots of thoughts and feedback. the service is pretty simple. you order at the counter and then seat yourself with a number. when the food is ready, a server brings your food to the table. if you want something more, then you return to the counter to order more. you have very minimal interaction with staff. our interactions with the staff were helpful and pleasant. my partner and i shared a traditional hummus plate and a wedge salad to start. the wedge salad and hummus were so tasty. i was so impressed with the dressing of the salad (ranchziki). i'm not usually a fan of ranch, but the ranchziki was an awesome reimagining of salad dressing. it was also topped with bits of bacon, fresh feta, and pickled onions. it was a very refreshing bite. the hummus plate was also a huge stand-out. the pita was hot, fresh, and homemade in a way i've never had before. it smelled amazing on its own and was such a comforting bite with the hummus. my favorite part was making sure to have a touch of the green sauce (the schug) on every bite. we found that two small pita breads were not enough for the amount of hummus given. we had to order two additional pita breads, which costs more ($3 each!). i think they should reduce the amount of hummus or offer 4 pieces of bread up front. additionally, i ordered the spiced lamb souvlaki and my partner ordered wild shrimp. my partner ordered a Bluto's Cooler, and i skipped on the cocktail because i'm recovering from a cold. i tried a sip of the Bluto's Cooler. i didn't care for the flavor, but my partner liked it. the souvlaki was okay. for the spiced lamb being $9 and the shrimp being $12, they seemed rather small. i found the lamb to be a bit over-salted. i wish the lamb would have been more spice-forward. the shrimp was tasty. the herbs and spices were more present. i'm not a shrimp eater, but i enjoyed the bite i had of my partner's shrimp. there are so many places in town to get two large skewers or kebabs plus rice and salad for $15, so i wouldn't come back for the skewers. i would be curious to return for the clam orzo and the charred veggies. my overall impression is that this is not a place for a big meal, but rather to grab a small interim bite before going somewhere else. the inside of the restaurant is aesthetically appealing. i think they could work on making the experience more comfy and intuitive. for example, when they brought out the pita and hummus, the pita comes out in a paper bag, and they did not bring out extra plates. there are some plates on the table, but they are very tiny and tedious to eat on. they also do not provide cloth napkins. between the paper bags from the pita and the used paper napkins, it felt like a lot of discard was accumulating and taking up space on the table, which made me feel a little claustrophobic. i was uncomfy trying to munch while trying to keep my food on the tiny plate and trying to manage a shrinking table surface. last, but not least, i would love to see more veggie side items on the menu! we spent around $75 overall, which is a pretty lofty price for such a relatively small amount of food. we could have gotten a full meal anywhere for the same price. this key point might make or break the success of Bluto's in this location. read more

Visited Bluto's for the first time with the girls, and we were absolutely blown away! The vibe is super chill, perfect for a girls' night out. But let's talk about the food--*WOW*. The lamb? Unreal. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. I'm still thinking about it days later. And the hummus? Hands down the best I've had in ages--creamy, flavorful, and with the perfect spice balance. We practically inhaled it. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were generous. Definitely going back soon to try more of their menu. Couldn't get past the prices. Upon entering it was suggested we get at least three dishes each, 2 $9 =$18 skewers, an $11 hummus (gotta be the gold standard of chickpea to demand that for a handful of beans), a salad or two another $12-16 each and a bread or two at $3 each (don't forget the bread; yea flour water and yeast for gold coin). No thank you sir. Drinks $10-$13. The fella at the register's voice registered high decibels to overcome the loud space. It looks good through the window, but not worth it in my opinion. Hummus was great, so was the wedge salad. But $3 for a small pita is tough. The shrimp skewer was ok. We were the first ones there and I had to remind them of something they forgot to serve us. They were friendly but didn't apologize, just said it was coming. The look is nice. We think it's a one and done for hummus and wedge salad and then get dinner elsewhere if you'd want. read more

used to live on Belmont when the original Bluto's first opened and I was absolutely was in love with it, got over the slight overpriced menu because of the quality and taste. this new location, ain't it. Pork Chops were awful between being incredibly overcooked and bits of bone littered inside that I bit down on multiple times, salad incredibly overdressed, and fries being soggy I left incredibly disappointed and 70 dollars poorer for the experience. This is a really good spot. Service was friendly and its a nice space. We had the chicken and veggie souvlaki skewers, lentil and zucchini bowl and the hummus and pita. The hummus and pita were especially good. Very pricy though for lunch- over $50 for 2 and even then, it was not a ton of food. Hopefully they will come up with some lunch specials. read more
