This is a wonderful place with some great food. It's in a convenient location with its own parking lot. Inside, there was one room with basic tables, and another with linen tablecloths (choose which you prefer). You order at the counter, get a number, get your own utensils and such, and they bring the food to your table. I went with some friends who got the lunch special (very good), but I couldn't resist the Spring Lamb Shank. Oh, that was so good. The lamb shank had incredible flavor, good seasoning, and tons of jus. The carrots and onions on that platter were perfectly cooked - just enough, but still with a crunch (onions) and a bite (carrots). It comes with a platter with rice (I got both kinds), hummus (could have used a bit more of that), sauce, onions, pickled turnips (perfect for balancing the richness), and bread (lavash?) that is great for making a wrap. When I came in, the hostess was about to seat us then a man came and said something to her and they said the wait was 30 minutes or we could go to the back casual section. When we got back there it is a bit hard to navigate considering there are so many tables and chairs. The food was okay but I think the rice needed more seasoning and the lamb kebab needed something. The seafood and meat were delicious and flavorful. There are a few options for the rice and the dill rice is the way to go. I have been coming to noon for over 10 years now. It continues to be one of the best Persian restaurants in the Chicago area with amazing tahdig and koubideh. Recently I tried the fesenjoon which was disappointing and kabab barg was underwhelming overall. Service has continued to improve over the years and they take good care of their patrons. Ambiance is great for large groups and to have a fun meal with family. Highly recommended for some great Koubideh and one of the few places in city to offer Tahdig (can be better). Service was excellent, and the server did a great job of explaining what the dishes were going to be like when I was placing my order. The portion sizes are enormous, and I was happy to take the leftovers home in a doggy-bag, which lasted me two whole meals the following day. I had a lovely dine-in experience! Jelena, our server, was excellent and attentive. She seemed to come by right as we needed her without us having to ask. Noon O is always delicious, but dining in their beautiful full service dining room is always a delight. The decor is very elegant and I like the acoustics in the circular room. You cannot go wrong with this menu, but the salmon skewer was delicious. I love both the ground beef and the filet. Please do not miss the falafel or skip dessert! Very disappointing experience. We visited with our children and friends expecting a pleasant, family-friendly meal, but the customer service was terrible. The manager was rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful, especially towards women being verbally abusive. It was embarrassing and upsetting to witness that kind of behavior in front of our kids and guests. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable while simply trying to enjoy a meal. I always go into the restaurant with my family and the meals were generally good. Today we ordered two meals and hummus to be delivered. When we got it, it had no rice and when we called to question where our rice was and we were told it does not come with rice..... It was not a stipulated on the menu when we were placing the order. Our total was over $80 and basically we got four skewers of beef and lamb. I was totally disappointed and I don't know if I will return to the restaurant. They put the food in a huge aluminum tray with a piece of pita under the skewers..... when we eat in the restaurant. The place was slow but it was a Monday. I was visiting a friend (Dr Amish Shah chiropractor) and there are plenty of middle eastern restaurants in the NOVA DC area where I live but Noon O Kabab has to be one of the best I've ever had. The decor is almost banquet hall like making the place feel less intimate but once we ordered. The bread, sauce, veggie amouse bouche was tart, refreshing, umami and fresh (from what I could tell). Once we ordered the presentation of food was not only grand but tasting it, I've never had ground lamb, ground chicken, grilled lamb and beef kebab that tender and flavorful. It didn't taste Persian, Afghani possibly, definitely not Uyghur but it doesn't matter because it was delicious. It's time for another glowing review! My dad loves the lamb shank, my mom loves the koobideh but that's old news-- this is about the service. After an 11th hour cancellation of our order by Reza's , I turned in desperation to Noon O Kabob. We called them directly and ordered. I had thought that they were too far for my parents to be in range for delivery, but it wasn't an issue.
