This is the best food I've had in a long time! The restaurant seems like a very mom&pop restaurant. There is a good amount of seating inside. The workers here are very welcoming as well and helped me with what to order. I ordered: 1 Plov: this dish was amazing & so flavorful. This might be the best lamb I've ever had. The flavors & juices in the lamb were perfect with the rice & veggies in this dish. I highly recommend trying this! 2. Manty steamed dumplings: the lamb was so good in these and way more filling than I thought! 3. Pelmeni: These were perfectly sized and delicious! 4. Varenyky: these were potato filled dumplings and they were delicious! The texture of the mashed potatoes was honestly so perfect with the dumpling texture. 5. Honey cake: WOW!! This cake is the best cake I've ever had. It's so soft and fluffy, & there's flavor is delicious! I don't know how else to describe this cake other than it being the BEST CAKE! Euro Asia is very good. Being married into a Russian family I've tried too many places that have a similar feel, but aren't memorable. However, this place was great. Friendly staff- the chef came out and chatted want us, home cooked food, and a great pricing for what you get. The soups, Plov, manty, and desserts were spot on. I stopped in here with a buddy from Ukraine who is familiar with the fare and he knows it's legit. I who am not familiar with their fare LOVED IT! Their soup options alone are bomb. On a chilly Chicago winter Solyanka soup and took a Pelmeni soup to go. The food is rich and fills your soul with the love they put into it. It's all homemade and the chef will even peek his head out to ask how everything is and check in. The servers are wonderful and on point with helping you navigate the menu and help you decide on what is for you. But I have to say you want to try everything on their menu. It's not oppressively large and has excellent heart warming options. The decor is simple and clean. You can recognize the wonderful immigrant locals who stop in at EuroAsia to get a legit taste of home. This is how you know it's authentic. Excellent little hole in the wall cultural gem. We stopped in for lunch Sunday morning and took advantage of their entree + soup special as well as ordering multiple things to try this cuisine the first time. We were the first customers of the day, and you could easily tell that the chef was making everything to order. Service was prompt and sweet with complementary bread that goes nicely dipped in any sauce or broth. I had to try the carrot salad and fresh salad, and these were refreshing accompaniments to the rest of the heavier meal. Big portions across the board. The borscht soup was a lovely hearty bowl that warms the soup. The manty (steamed lamb dumplings) were huge and filling. The lagman was our favorite - essentially like a beef pasta with peppers and broth. Everything was so good we didn't even have leftovers and left way too full. Was lowkey impressed that central Asian cuisine can be found in River North, this restaurant is also BYOB! Service was really good and the restaurant was not too crowded when we went on a weeknight. Overall very interesting flavors that I'm not used too, and if you're a big fan of dill they have plenty of that which literally enhances the flavor of everything. I feel like their meat dishes can be pretty variable, while the flavor is there sometimes the meat can be a little bit rough and not tender enough to my liking (though that may be how the dish is prepared). This place was a nice surprise! My favorite dish is a toss up between the manty and golubci. Get both and soup. I had borscht, but I'm sure the others are just as good. My only gripe was that they ran out of bread which I think would have a been a nice compliment to the soup. If you're hungry, get at least 2 appetizers and an entree. Amazing little spot in an unassuming location off the main drag featuring delicious classics of Eastern European and Central Asian cuisine. Stopped in yesterday for lunch and we enjoyed lamb samsas, solyanka soup, and I had plov while my friend savored the beshbarmak- a traditional lamb noodle dish you won't find most places. A solid hole in the wall spot tucked away on oak street. Very welcoming manager/staff who took the time to greet us. Food is delicious and heavy so come here hungry. We tried the laghman, Plov, manti, Samsa. The latter are my fave dishes in general, and they did not disappoint at this place. I probably wouldn't get the first two dishes again, personally, but my group enjoyed them. Ample seating and fairly quiet. We ordered the chebureki, salad, lamb with rice, mushroom potatoes and manti. The chebureki were very delicious with a fresh salsa sauce on the side. I will say they are usually much flatter but these were closer to empanadas, still very delicious though and I ordered one more. The salad was very fresh and the bread was just incredible. I didn't care much for the manti but my coworker was a fan. The lamb and rice was a little dry so maybe a sauce could have helped. Also many of their drinks only come in 1L size so be prepared to share or take it home. Overall, a very very tasty meal and very nice and friendly service. Prices are incredibly reasonable too. Came here on a Saturday evening, waited probably about 20 minutes for a table for 2, restaurant was full. I came specifically for the lagman, was told they had no more. I sort of wanted to leave but since we had already waited, I just picked other food. Ended up having pelmeni (dumpling) soup and manty, along with a lamb samsa. Samsa was fluffy, meat inside could've been more flavorful, pretty juicy. Both the pelmeni and manty skin was super soft and borderline mushy, not very good at all.
