    Complementary bread

Excellent little hole in the wall cultural gem. We stopped in for lunch Sunday morning and took advantage of their entree + soup special as well as ordering multiple things to try this cuisine the first time. We were the first customers of the day, and you could easily tell that the chef was making everything to order. Service was prompt and sweet with complementary bread that goes nicely dipped in any sauce or broth. I had to try the carrot salad and fresh salad, and these were refreshing accompaniments to the rest of the heavier meal. Big portions across the board. The borscht soup was a lovely hearty bowl that warms the soup. The manty (steamed lamb dumplings) were huge and filling. The lagman was our favorite - essentially like a beef pasta with peppers and broth. Everything was so good we didn't even have leftovers and left way too full. Prices are good because the portions are so big as well. I will definitely have to be back for other menu items!

Was lowkey impressed that central Asian cuisine can be found in River North, this restaurant is also BYOB! Service was really good and the restaurant was not too crowded when we went on a weeknight. Overall very interesting flavors that I'm not used too, and if you're a big fan of dill they have plenty of that which literally enhances the flavor of everything. I feel like their meat dishes can be pretty variable, while the flavor is there sometimes the meat can be a little bit rough and not tender enough to my liking (though that may be how the dish is prepared). Still a great unique spot to check out in River North in general though!

This place was a nice surprise! My favorite dish is a toss up between the manty and golubci. Get both and soup. I had borscht, but I'm sure the others are just as good. My only gripe was that they ran out of bread which I think would have a been a nice compliment to the soup. If you're hungry, get at least 2 appetizers and an entree. Will definitely come back!

Great Uzbek food. Our favorites are the chicken samsa, plov and mante. Every time I'm in town those are my top 3 items that I order. Overall everything is tasty, friendly service and consistent in quality.

Amazing little spot in an unassuming location off the main drag featuring delicious classics of Eastern European and Central Asian cuisine. Stopped in yesterday for lunch and we enjoyed lamb samsas, solyanka soup, and I had plov while my friend savored the beshbarmak- a traditional lamb noodle dish you won't find most places. Great food, generous portions, and fair prices. The manager came out to ask if everything was to our liking. I will definitely be back.

EuroAsia is my favorite restaurant in the City of Chicago. The Plav, beat salad and borsch are my go to and each and every time is a 10 out of 10. You cannot go wrong with the world class Chef! Service is great as well. This is a must go restraunt in Chicago!

You know you're in the right place when most of the crowd seems to be from Uzbekistan. It's an unassuming hole-in-the-wall place with good, homemade food. We ordered the chebureki, salad, lamb with rice, mushroom potatoes and manti. The chebureki were very delicious with a fresh salsa sauce on the side. I will say they are usually much flatter but these were closer to empanadas, still very delicious though and I ordered one more. The salad was very fresh and the bread was just incredible. I didn't care much for the manti but my coworker was a fan. The lamb and rice was a little dry so maybe a sauce could have helped. Also many of their drinks only come in 1L size so be prepared to share or take it home. Overall, a very very tasty meal and very nice and friendly service. Prices are incredibly reasonable too. We got the Napoleon to go and that was absolutely bomb!

The blueberry gives it a nice sweetness. The crunch crunch shrimp was good too. It's deep fried shrimp wontons, and the inside was actually really juicy from the shrimp. I do want to make special note of their water, it tastes really refreshing and comes in a nice steel bottle. Service is good they brought the plates out in a way that doesn't overload the small table and they are quick about taking empty bowls away. One thing that could be improved was the lighting and fan situation. At the specific two-seater table we originally say there's a ceiling fan that is right below a ceiling light. This caused a quick flickering that was really distracting. We told a server and were able to be moved to a different table slightly further away where it was less noticeable. It's definitely not a good lighting experience and highly suggest the owners address this. Most tables aren't affected by this though.

A couple callouts on the mapo tofu, why does it not come with rice? Also the white rice we did have to buy as a side comes in a small bowl, making it difficult to scoop. The other mention is the overwhelming amount of peppercorn, taking away from the flavor and instead numbing the mouth. The green beans were not worth it and the chocolate sesame dessert was really disappointing to share. I don't recall much vanilla soft serve or chocolate shaved ice, if at all. The sesame flavor was really distracting away from the chocolate chunks and wasn't good overall. The service was weird with us not getting our rice right away with the green beans. We also had to ask about the noodles and it came out very late as we were almost done eating.

The locals don't like Tao for whatever reason. I thought everything was delicious! The presentation, ambience, all of it. Loved it. Now, we had a reservation. Even with the reservation, waited 1hr to be seated. Insane. There are no "walk-ins" for this place. They are booked solid. Another thing, they have the smallest tables known to man. Because they're trying to maximize the amount of guests they can host at a time, they have these little tiny tables that you can't fit all your drinks and your food on simultaneously. I like to spread out at dinner, and not feel cramped. You can literally pick the food off of the guest table next to you because you're so close to them, and your table is so tiny, your wine glass or your champagne glass is always on the verge of hitting the floor, because you can't fit your sushi on the table at the same time. That was crazy work. But even still, being here made me really excited. This place is nice, nice. I can't explain it. They have fake dragon flies on the ceiling lanterns, like, come on! Nice touch. This place is huge too. But even still, you have no space. They have a night club upstairs as well! I mean come on. I booked the reservation late to go to the club on the 2bd floor after, but I was too tired. I will definitely come back here anytime I'm in CHI. Loved it. I would not recommend if you have no patience, get angry when the waitress is too busy with too many tables to remember all your items, if you are not open to waiting 1hr to be seated after your reservation time, and if you need space to stretch out when eating. Even with those cons, I enjoyed it. If the wait time wasn't so horrible, and the seating wasn't so tight. 10 stars.
