Where do I begin!? I'm so pleased with my experience at Nooria's Electrolysis. Nooria Herself is so kind and patient and understanding. She has made an otherwise painful and time-consuming experience a very pleasant one. I have been seeing her for over a year now and I have seen wonderful results. Electrolysis is a time-consuming process. Depending on how much hair you have and the thickness and how often you come in for appointments as well as what type of skin you have you can have different results. Nooria has done a wonderful job of both educating me and treating me. She put so much care into her clients and wants to make sure everyone has the best experience ever. Some electrologists just want to get you in and get you out so they can move onto the next person and keep filling their schedule, but Nooria isn't like that at all. She genuinely cares to make sure that all her clients get results. The whole experience is a two-way street. If you want good results, you have to be consistent with your appointments and follow her aftercare instructions but if you can do that, which is not difficult at all, you will definitely see results. We started my treatments off at a higher intensity, but at some point , I was experiencing some discomfort and informed her of it which immediately resulted in her testing out lower settings that would still give me results while ensuring I would no longer feel discomfort. I can't say enough good things about Nooria and my experience with her. If you are looking for an electrologist you won't find a better one in the Bay Area than her. read more

She ruined my face. I have chin and neck hair and I went to her and she assured me she had 20 years of experience, but I was left with pitted scars or pinhead scars which look like little holes in my face or acne scars. I hope my dermatologist can fix this and my face is not ruined for forever. She also didn't give me ice after treatment to help with swelling. Please save your skin and go somewhere else. I have been going to Nooria's for several months now to treat hair on various parts of my body (stomach-upper and lower, chest, and face) and she is the best electrolysist on the Peninsula, if not the Bay Area! For context, I have went to over six electrolysis providers on the Peninsula and San Francisco to try out their service, and for several, I was a regular customer but stopped going to them when I wasn't seeing results. I have seen a substantial amount of hair reduction ( and no scarring or damage to skin ) since working with Nooria! Nooria is very experienced, her office is clean, she's on time, she is very very thorough and she has all the technology and tools to do her job well. As someone who is very sensitive about hair, she listens and understands my concerns and takes the time to thoroughly address the area. I really appreciate that! I give it a one because I really didn't get serviced there. However, she kept suggesting that I go to American Laser Center, and I found it difficult because American Laser centers are good for one thing and that is scamming people. I've worked with her on two occasions, each to remove an ugly, increasingly dark and coarse hair in my chin. I had to go back a few times the first time, then it disappeared! I came back years later for another. She goes after other ones that are on the verge of growing bigger. She knows them well! Anyhow, I LOVE working with her. I only started needing and trying electrolysis since I moved to this area and I found 2 others before her. The first one was a waste of money, she's already retired because she couldn't see what she was doing anymore sadly. At least she realized it. But she wasn't a good listener and messed up my eyebrows because I only wanted her to pluck the gray/white hairs out of the eyebrows and said, "do NOT touch these ones here" and she proceeded to start with perfectly good dark eyebrow hairs which were the ones I said "do NOT touch these". So I immediately stopped that one in Palo Alto and found another lady in Palo Alto who was ok until she jacked up the prices on me. I don't have that many hairs so I need a good price on like a 5 or 10 minute max visit. then I found Nooria who has been great and offered me a better rate than both of the other two ladies for what I need. read more

I have been going to Nooria's on a friend's recommendation for about a year for hair removal on my legs and now eyebrows. As both are now just about over, I am looking for new areas, but not because I love the process. I DO love the results -- but I also love Nooria: she is incredibly reliable, professional, helpful, smart, sensitive, thoughtful, warm, and funny. I now also bring my daughter for eyebrows only, so that she doesn't pluck irreparably thin lines. Nooria is very careful about not making her look older than her 13 years, and will minimize her eyebrows a few hairs at a time as she gets a bit older. I just love that she is sensitive to that for a younger girl. As for my legs, they are what they are, but they are sooo smooth and I never have to worry about unwanted hair! Nooria's prices are very fair and she is scrupulously honest (almost to a fault) about the time actually spent working. read more
