Went once off a Groupon and won't go back, the place is EXTREMELY SMALL and tight. I made a reservation and it took atleast 10 minutes for someone to even come up to seat me. Up until tonight my wife and I really enjoyed going to Nora Lee's. We've been there many times and really liked the service. Tonight we had a reservation for 7PM, and we where there on time. We watched as others came in and slowly but surely we watched as the people we say coming in behind us get served their entree's and deserts and trickle out. Meanwhile it is 8:30PM and we hadn't gotten our food yet. No explanation, and not even a visit from the manager to let us know what was going on. All the waiter would say is "Your food will be out soon", meanwhile everyone around us has eaten and left. At 8:45 I asked for the bill for our drinks, and the waiter wanted to see what was taking our food so long and came out with "Your food will be out soon". We walked out. Came to Nora Lee's last night for a friends birthday, we called ahead and made a reservation for 15 and were seated appropriately when we arrived. Not a super big place, so I was surprised that we were able to fit everyone in. For only having 2 servers for the whole place the wait staff was very attentive, we always had drinks, and our server came around often to check on us. The food was AWESOME, I'm addicted and will definitely return. I decided to get a couple of appetizers and chose the Cajun Popcorn, which was fried crawfish in this amazing sauce, so yummy! I also had the Pierogis, mmm, so good, still thinking about them this morning! They were simple potato pierogis, but they sautéed them with onions and sprinkled them with cajun seasoning! yum yum! Two of my friends had the Jambalaya Salad and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. Overall I think everyone was satisfied! DESSERT, how could I forget to mention dessert! Since it was my friend's birthday, she got this decadent triple berry bread pudding. It came to the table nice and warm, with a big scoop of icecream! It was also our waitress's birthday the day before, so she shared with the table a large slice of icecream cake that the owner made for her birthday! I forget her name, but she was really sweet! I think they have a good vibe going in this place. I'm young so I enjoy the loudish and live music they have going on Friday and Saturday night. However, I can never enjoy it because the bar is packed, I can never get service, and the food is mediocre. It is also on the pricey side for what it is offering. I feel like they are having an identity crisis. This place wants to be a dive but their food isn't good enough and their prices are those of an upscale restaurant. Either way the food needs to get better and servers need to be more attentive. They should also consider adding a bartender on weekend nights. Best coconut shrimp I've ever had, but I can't seem to find anything else on the menu that I like. My husband loves it, but that's no surprise since Cajun food is his favorite. Atmosphere is fun, that kind of quirky NOLA-style. I'd like to say it's "quaint" but it can feel very cramped. Our first time there, in early 2020, we had a terrible waitress who forgot about us most of the time and we never got drink refills during the entire visit. But since then, the service has been decent. We haven't been back since Covid got bad in our area, but I'm sure my husband will want to change that soon. read more

Nice little place with an intimate feel and live music (at least the night I was here). I sat at the bar as I was dining alone. Full menu was available at the bar and I chose the Tuna Imperial ( served with a crab cake). I sent the first attempt back. The food was served cold (and without utensils) even though I was 10 feet from the kitchen. The second attempt was piping hot... but the tuna was overcooked. I didn't eat it. If you like to wait around watching people throw a fit because their reservations aren't honored, and stand shoulder to shoulder with angry delawareans, then this is the place for you. My husband and I went over to this funky little spot for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Let's just say amazing all around. Our server Maddie was awesome and the food came out super quick. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but you do need to make a reservation cause its a smaller restaurant. I recommend saving room for the peanut butter Tandy cake, the slice was big enough for 2!! Will be going back to try more items on the menu. read more

Went last weekend our Waiter Wayne was very friendly. Bread was fresh and delish and I love the butter. Appetizer- Bourbon Crawfish delicious but could have def used more rice under it the rice was hardly noticeable. Dinner- Hazelnut crab cakes. Could use more crab and less filler but all in all they came out perfectly cooked ! Hurricane good but not strong like the real ones, Pumpkin Martini though WILL kick your butt. Phenomenal! I had the jambalaya and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It's a beautiful restaurant and my girlfriend and I had a great time. She got a limited menu item that was something involving salmon. After tasting hers, I wish we'd have gotten 2 of them so I could have one of those as well. The food was excellent and so was the service. The downfall... When we were seated, it seemed a little warm. After the server brought our drinks, I realized it was pretty uncomfortable. They checked the temp of the room because I said something and it was 85° (inside) I asked if they had a fan (there wasn't an empty table to move to) and she said the manager was coming. Fast forward 65 minutes... no manager, no fan, still no dinner (server apologized 382 times) Now this is covid season and the very small restaurant was half seated. Then our dinner finally came. My daughter ordered filet mignon, medium well. A lady came table to table to see how things were going. I told her about the temperature, the manager not addressing me (she wasn't the manager), then pointed to the very rare filet on my daughters plate. She offered to have it cooked a little more but there was no way she was sending it back when it took over an hour to get it to begin with so my daughter picked out the least bloody pieces to eat. The bill came and the filet was removed which was very kind because I never asked it to be. Great food! Left a big tip cause our server was great (and embarrassed) I'm very leery to go back but maybe I'll get takeout because it was yummy. read more

My husband and I went for a walk at the nearby park and decided to find a place to eat. We loved the interior and the music. Our waitress was friendly and wonderful and informed us of the $5 burger specials. We jumped on that right away, and I have to say, they were the best $5 burgers I've ever had. It was juicy but not dripping and the toppings were served on the side for me to choose how much or how little to add. My husband also got a cup of crawfish bisque and after just one try, I had to order one as well. It was rich and creamy and had an excellent amount of heat that was very there but not spicy. We adored it. We didn't care much for the kettle chips, they were too thin to taste much potato, but it didn't harm the over all experience. We look forward to coming back and I'm excited to try more items off the menu. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Nora Lees! Since the PA locations. I wanted to give it 5 stars, BUT, I have a few minor issues with my last visit. 1) The seating area near the front door is TOO CRAMPED. They need to take one table out. My wife and I had to sit side by side to fit. (I'm 210 and she's only 125) so we are not huge.. lol 2) They only gave us 2 VERY SMALL pieces of their delicious bread. 2? really? 4 slices for a table of 2 should be the minimum. We had to pay a $1.50 for just 2 more slices. 3) The band on Sat. night was great. But they were too loud. The table next to us complained too. Now I'm a big Metal / Hard Rock fan and the volume really wasn't the issue. It was the bass. The front area which has walls on 3 sides becomes a bass trap. It is really a bad mix. Nora I hope your listening. Correct these issues and then continue on as the best spot around! 5 stars for sure then!! read more

Husband and I truly raved about everything this place had to offer from the moment we where greeted at the door. The staff was very friendly and attentive.Our server Ricki as well as all of the servers were friendly and welcoming. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing and it created a very enjoyable envirorment. The atmosphere very cozy and the music was not too loud. Taste is an understatement!! From the start the bread and BUTTER let you know your in for a treat! The Pierogies are far from run of the mill. If you lucky and can get the cajun seafood Alfredo then you struck gold. Really all around BAD! It was as if the waitress has never been to a restaurant herself to understand how a restaurant should function. Service was non-existent and the food was just less than "ok". To make matters worse, we were the only people in the restaurant. Most of the meal we were completely alone-not an employee in sight. I swear the waitress was also the cook and dishwasher.
