I happen to see the sign as I was driving by and of course I had to stop for empanada! It's in a business Center. It isn't very obvious where it is. They are either moving or expanding into Temecula. I just love a place that has pictures of Messi and the Argentinian flag everywhere! It must be authentic. Problem is the staff didn't know if the coffee is from there. She knew the cold brew was though. I tried it and it had a very weird after taste. My teen loved it though. My teen also loved the pepperoni empanada and the chicken empanada. I had the spinach empanada. It was crispy on the outside. I love that it was made fresh right there. read more

We are here once a week because it's next to my kids dance studio. It's become to routine to grab empanadas after dance and you can't go wrong. There's lot of savory options to choose from and some meatless options too. We usually go for the chicken and beef, classics and so delicious. I love that they have frozen empanadas to make at home as well. Since they're made fresh, it's good to order ahead if you're crunched on time. read more

Found this little gem when looking for fun foodie places in the area- my son loves empanadas so it was a must try during our day out. We got the 6 pack, mix and match, and the spicy and regular chimichurri sauces. Our favorite was the chicken and spicy cheese, after that it was the ham and cheese and pepperoni- we didn't particularly care for the beef, but that is probably personal preference, and the chicken was a clear front runner for us. The flavors were great, everything was fresh and we enjoyed trying them. They also have frozen ones to take home and bake, which I thought was super cool. Service was good- she was patient and friendly, and everything came out quickly. The place itself is very small, with limited seating and one group of 4 took up both tables for some reason, but thankfully there were a few seats at the window left. The place is small but ideal for takeout, DoorDash, etc. For eating in they have a few small tables to eat at and the place is very clean. Before I start out with my review my family is from New Mexico and was brought up making Empanadas for the holidays. I had no idea that everyone makes their dough differently. I now that everyone fills them with their own family recipes but I assumed the dough would be the same. That being said I was really not a fan of them. I was brought up with a sweeter dough and more filling. But on the other hand my husband who was brought up in California absolutely loved them. read more

Great tasting empanadas, I had chicken, beef, bbq pork all were super flavorful. The chimichurri sauces were also very good, I had the med heat and spicy heat. The dough was also very good on the empanadas. The girl at the front with colored hair was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is clean and kept up, I highly recommend this spot and I can't wait to go back and try some of the sweet empanadas. read more

Was early for my daughters class and this place is located near by so we stopped on in. Ended up grabbing a flan and then coming back for empanadas. Everything was so well flavored and authentic. I was driving by and saw an "Empanada" sign. I thought that was weird being that this area is basically an Industrial Park. Stopped by to check it out and got the 3 empanadas for $13.25, 1 beef, 1 cheese & jalapeno, and 1 chicken (which I had asked if it was white or dark meat and the guy said it was white meat). Beef empanada: Nice and beefy w a hint of olive taste. Chicken empanada: This was just ok. I don't think this was white meat though bc it had that chicken thigh "taste" I don't care for, but if you don't care what part of chicken it is, you might appreciate this. Cheese & jalapeno: I liked this one the best out of the three that I got. The cheese blend was delicious with a tiny hint of heat (wish it was a lot hotter). Spicy chimichurri: Herby and tangy, helped elevate the empanadas. This wasn't spicy at all for me (I have a very high tolerance for heat). Guy at the counter was super nice. The inside was very clean. They even have Argentine pantry goods you can buy. The empanadas are good and I appreciate that there's another empanada spot around here. read more

I nearly drove by this place since it's located in a business center. This place has been on my bookmarks for a while but they're closed on Sundays and I usually try to go on that day. I did get 1 dozen of empanada ($51) for my family and I to try during our vacation. I chose 6 chicken and 6 beef, and with buying a dozen they give 2 free empanadas so I chose a pepperoni and a bbq pork each to try. It came with four containers of regular and spicy chimichurri salsa to eat them with. There was no wait and they packaged my order quickly. The pepperoni, bbq pork, and the chicken were my favorites. My family liked the beef more. All the empanadas were seasoned nicely and were filled completely. They have a few tables to sit, along with several Argentinian coffee and items to sell. Stumbled upon Nora's by chance and we are so happy we did. The food is very very good! If you are passing through for whatever reason you should totally stop and get a couple. They are actually very filling so don't go crazy on your order but the flavors are awesome! Everything is super tasty! People working there are great and give great recommendations. Surprised to discover an Empanada Shop in Murrieta and decided to give it a try for the night's dinner. Hoping to indulge in some tasty empanadas, with a salad, and a glass of sangria. Upon arrival I immediately noticed the establishment was well devoted to Argentina with Messi jerseys and photos; flags; various Argentina dried goods; and a Futbol match on the television. The staff were extremely friendly and customer service oriented. Purchased the six pack option with one additional empanada for free; Selecting two Spinach, two Chicken, one Beef, one Mushroom, and a Pineapple as the freebie. Visually the empanadas were very appetizing, but feel tragically short on construction and taste due to the thin crust and the fillings that appeared to be processed meats. The evening fell short of my expectations due to the mediocre empanadas provided and the house prepared chimichurri sauce was sour and tasted like pickle juice. At approximately $5.00 per empanada I would expect far better quality, and not factory produced frozen food quality. read more

Very delicious empanadas ! Me and my bf came and ordered the 12-pack to be able to be able to try them all. Top favorite were the chicken, spicy cheese, and beef. Overall they are all great though . We got a pumpkin empanada as a dessert and was super tasty. Service was great and the food came out quick . Not many tables inside but seems like many ppl order to go anyway. First time visit to check this place out. I had seen this place mentioned on a travel tiktok video as a "Must Try" when in the area. We were on a weekend trip to the Temecula Wine Country and this was a perfect place to stop for snacks! Nora's is located right off Winchester Road, just north of Murrieta Hot Springs Road. The main item they sell is of course the empanada's, but they also have a variety of coffee (Hot and cold). Most of the empanada's are hot and ready. The display case in at the counter is small. So if you see something out, just ask. They have more in the back. And if they are out, it's only a few minutes wait for a fresh one. The empanada's are fantastic. But you have to eat them fresh. They are sold individually and in packs of 3, 6 or 12. When I was there, if you bought a 6 pack, you got one free. This is a great deal and you can mix and match to try all the different flavors. If you have a favorite, you can also buy packs of frozen empanada's that you can take and bake at home. Overall, this was a great stop and we enjoyed all of the different empanada's we tried. Nice crisp shell packed with tasty flavors. Highly recommend the beef and chicken, but the breakfast one was also amazing! read more

I grabbed some empanadas from here since we were on our way to the Lantern Festival last year. We got the beef, chicken, ham & cheese, spicy cheese, and guava ones. They were pretty big and I enjoyed it with their spicy chimichurri sauce. We also tried their yerba mate cold brew and a few alfajores as well. The drink was refreshing and alfajores weren't too sweet. This place can be hard to miss if you don't know to look for it. It had some outdoor seating and some indoor seating. It had Argentinian items for sale inside along with hot empanadas and alfajores. I stopped by for lunch. It had a chill vibe inside, but I was in and out as I was taking the food to go. It was our first time coming to this location. The staff member was helpful and patient as I took my time selecting the flavors. We tried the 12 pack with an assortment of flavors. It was $49.99 for 12 empanadas, plus we got 1 free empanada. We also got some original chimichurri. We also got 2 alfajores. The total was just shy of $64. My husband is Argentinian and he approved of the yummy taste. Always wanted to stop by here and finally got the chance to. Was greeted right away by the owner. He was very pleasant and friendly. Ordered the 6 pack combo (2 beef, 2 chicken, and 2 ham and cheese) to try some variety. The empanadas came out hot and freshly made and they have me try both of their regular and spicy chimichurri. The empanadas were delicious. The filling was season right and the dough was perfectly made. Great for breakfast and snacks. Stopped by Nora's for a quick lunch. This was my first visit so I was excited to try out their offerings. The restaurant is clean, well lit and has a few tables for eating in. I ordered the spinach feta empanada, lentil empanada and guava and cream cheese. The empanadas were perfectly baked and were as delicious to my eyes as they were to taste. The crust was light and crunchy in the right places...yum. The fillings were just right and I loved that I could taste the flavors of all the main ingredients. Lots of spinach with a nice balance of feta cheese and the lentil was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The guava and cheese is a nice dessert but I could only it about a quarter of it as I was full. Pleasantly surprised by this eatery and definitely putting it on rotation. I am looking forward to trying their breakfast empanada next time. read more

The generously filled Spinach and Cheese empanadas complemented the light seasonings without overpowering the spinach and cheese filling. The Buffalo Chicken empanada had a bold, spicy, and traditional flavor profile. The Buffalo Chicken empanada leaves you looking for the blue cheese dip and a celery stick. The Ham and Cheese used diced ham, but a different, creamy white cheese. The cheese had an interesting flavor, but not a fit for me. Finally, the Pizza empanada has potential. Their sign caught my eye as I was leaving a business meeting. I knew these would be perfect for my drive home. Cute little spot in a business complex. I ordered 3 hot empanadas: 1. Mushroom & Cheese - stuffed with plenty of mushrooms but was too cheesy for me 2. Ham & Cheese - enjoyed this but didn't know there was egg in it until after I ate it. Must have not tasted it 3. Spinach & Feta - my favorite one of the 3! It's stuffed and has tons of flavor I appreciate how all 3 were warm while I ate them immediately in the car ride home. Also ordered 1 of the Alfajor which I appreciate them placing in its own container. Not my kind of dessert as it has a drier consistency. I should have opted for the guava & cream cheese empanada which I had my eye on. Perhaps next time! Service was quick and nice. It's pretty tiny, so I believe most of their business is take out. There are a few small tables outside if you want to eat there though. I really enjoy small, family operating businesses like this and will continue and try to support these type of businesses as much as possible. Also, just a great spot to get some quick eats at a more than reasonable price. Definitely want to explore more of the menu and for sure want to try their pizza soon.

I get giddy when I find little treasures such as this. I had originally bookmarked this little…read moremarket because of their empanadas, but I found so much more. The market is small and cramped and packed to the gills with Latin American and Spanish goods. They have good looking produce, a nice big butchery, multiple freezers and refrigerators filled with specialty items that will make your brain work on overtime. The way the deli works for buying their prepared food is different from some. You must first place your order at the back counter. You will receive an itemized ticket which you must take up front to the cashier. Then, you return to the back to show your proof of purchase receipt and then you get your food, bagged and ready. The total wait for us was about 10 - 15 minutes, not bad. I get it, why they have to do it this way, but it is time consuming and inconvenient at best. We did get some empanadas. They are fried, not baked, so have an extra good crunch with every bite. There are two ground beef fillings, i.e. two different recipes. Three were the wonderful filling that has green olives (my favorite), and one that was described as spicy beef (that really was not all that spicy). Both were delicious, and their dough was flaky. This could easily become one of my favorite destinations for a reliable empanada. Besides the deli empanadas, there was a nice selection of empanada disc's (round pastry wrappers) in the freezer section if you are inclined to make and stuff them yourself, and frozen empanadas made by Goya in yet another freezer. I also convinced myself I needed to buy two tamales. One Guatemalan, the other Peruvian. These are sold frozen and are ordered at the deli counter. Haven't tried them yet, but I am excited because they are not so easy to find. Other products that caught my eye included a fascinating collection of sausages, chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage), Spanish linguiça, Spanish chorizo, smoked meats (Corte's brand), smoked herring, quail eggs, and other imported delicacies. Perhaps I will not need to drive all the way to La Española in Harbor City anymore for Spanish imports? They sell a very comprehensive list of Goya brand products and prepared foods. I grabbed a bag of ready to eat sweet plantains from the freezer as well. All so tempting. By the time I had perused the whole store and was headed to the cashier, my guard was completely down. There it was... freshly baked goods critically placed next to the cashier so you can't miss them. Soft crust baguettes and rolls in baskets, and small, sweet pastries and cookies in their bakery case. There were several pastries that looked very special, some featuring custard or quince filling. We, of course, had to buy some. I have already tested the one filled with the quince and topped with finely grated coconut. It was outstanding, not very sweet. The dough was lightly brushed with egg yolk for a rich, beautiful finish. These were super fresh and very tender. The baked goods are delivered fresh from an Argentinian bakery in Burbank. This is a great find! Not your usual small neighborhood grocery. I am very excited to return.

After eating at several Argentinian restaurants recently, I've been on a chimichurri kick. I have…read moretried chimichurri sauces from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's but they aren't really very authentic. A friend recommended seeing what El Gaucho might have, so I visited the next day. The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.
