And I dont usually like black beans but theirs has some umami flavor that keeps you dipping your spoon in for more. The staff were so friendly too and gave alot of good recommendations. However, the food here being that they tell me they're from Miami makes me want to move there, but thankful that they are local to me here in Temecula, California. I didn't think California can make good cubanos, but this one was decent. I was a bit upset bc it took them 28m to make one sandwich, but the lady who is probably the owner was really nice. The place is quite small inside but it felt homely. It was also pretty hot inside. Maybe the ac was broken. I got a big cubano and I think she really loaded it with tons of meat. She also threw in a soup. It was a chicken soup. Its pretty salty the food, but it tasted great to me. I especially liked the bun on my sandwich. I got the Pan con Bistec sandwich and the ham croqueta. The Bistec meat was very tough and dry. The bread on the other hand was good, nicely toasted. It came with a side of spicy sauce which did help a little. Potatoes chips were not bad. Croqueta was good, inside has creamy potatoes. I am so glad that the people that were already eating there told me how good it was! I ended up ordering the oxtail, Puerto Rican and Cuban Tamales. The oxtail came with rice and beans and I got a iced coffee. Everything was great! I want to try their garlic shrimp next time. I was not expecting there to be as good as flavor as there was! Beans needed salt and my table had no salt/pepper shakers available. Both the lechon and chicharones plates were delicious. Potato balls were small and sadly over fried, but very flavorful. Fire! Wifey's coworker told her about the Cuban Hut and how we should give it a try! The last time I had Cuban food was over two decades when I went to Miami to visit a friend and she took me to a Cuban spot. I wasn't all that impressed so to be honest I had my reservations. Ima tell y'all from the moment we walked in it was warm and welcoming! Just like walking into one of the original Cuban joints in Cuba. The ambience was like being in Cuba. Dusty, one of the owners greeted us and was thrilled that it was our first time and guarantee it wouldn't be our last! He shared some of the favorite dishes and we de on the oxtails and fried pork belly! Both came with rice and plantain. All I can say was is it was slap yo mama in Cuba good!! the black beans were on point! In fact all he suggested was over the top for us! Now that's why I call flavor town on a plate! The Coffee Con Leche! Oh my goodness! That was the best Cuban coffee! Enough to fire Starbucks! Dusty was right! We certainly will be back!
