The wallpaper behind the beds was peeling everywhere. The room doesn't have any chair for guests to sit on. Luckily someone brought me a chair when they saw me standing and looking around when they walked by. My partner is a vegetarian and said there were very little options for her. She was given a grilled cheese sandwich for both lunch and dinner on the same day. Definitely needs some improvement if you are going to stay here for any long period of time. After 2 days, my partner was ready for me to break her out of the place. But again, all of staff was super friendly.

I was at Casa Coloma a couple of years ago and asked to be placed back there again. Luckily, they were able to accommodate me. The staff there are very responsive, caring, professional, and kind. They were always very pleasant and friendly, which is amazing to me considering the verbal abuse they are subjected to by people who do not want to be there. Whenever interacting with me, they always made me feel like I was their only patient. Whenever passing a staff member in the hall, I was aways greeted with a smile. Tanner, the Administrator, made himself very available to the patients, and seemed to know everyone's name which I felt was very impressive, considering the number of patients they had. I want to thank everyone there for the great care I received. I especially want to thank Meron, Maria, Cristina, CJ, and Brittany. They were some of my CNA's and nurses. They made my stay there very comfortable. A special thank you Marcy and Rachel who are 2 of the physical therapists I worked with. They were both very patient and extremely kind and caring to everyone. They were successful in getting everyone to move, even the ones that didn't want to. They made group therapy very fun and I, actually, looked forward to it. If you, or a loved one needs to be placed in a facility like this, I would highly recommend Casa Coloma.

I had a very disappointing experience at AIMS Urgent Care…read more Before arriving, I completed my registration and insurance information online because I wanted to be seen as quickly as possible. When I got there at 6pm, I was asked to fill out additional paperwork, and then I was told they didn't accept my insurance--even though I had already submitted it online and everything appeared to be approved. The nurse who took my vitals seemed rushed and inattentive. She had trouble getting my temperature to register multiple times. I overheard her tell a coworker that the thermometer wasn't working, but instead of using another thermometer or trying a different method, she recorded my temperature as 98°F even though I had been running a fever since the night before. That was very concerning to me. Both the nurse and the doctor were dismissive throughout my visit. When I tried explaining all of my symptoms, I felt like neither of them was really listening. The doctor spoke very quickly, spent very little time with me, and ordered a rapid strep test. While I waited, I could hear staff at the front desk laughing and talking while I sat in the exam room waiting for results. Instead of the doctor coming back to explain my diagnosis or answer any questions, someone from the front desk came into my room and simply told me I was free to leave and that my results would be emailed to me. I was told I would be prescribed antibiotics, but no one explained what medication I was receiving or discussed my diagnosis in person. I was also told my prescription would be ready in about 40 minutes, but it wasn't available until around 9:00 p.m. The following day, I called to request a doctor's note because I was still very sick. I was told they could only provide documentation saying I had been seen, not a note addressing work restrictions. Given my symptoms and diagnosis, I asked whether they could provide documentation supporting time off while I was contagious, but they declined. I also asked if they could email the note since I was ill and trying to avoid going out again, but they refused and told me I would have to come pick it up in person. Overall, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and frustrated. My concerns weren't taken seriously, communication was poor, and the level of care I received did not meet my expectations. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in patient communication and attentiveness.

Manzanita Healthcare Center bills itself as a rehabilitation facility for seniors; my spouse spent…read morefive days and nights there before checking out early. Staffing appears to be understaffed, with some dedicated caregivers and some who seem to be there to act as prison wardens, or sanitation workers who regret their status in life. Case managers are clipped, and not easy to communicate with, and my spouse was seldom ever offered insights by real nursing staff. She was quickly fitted with a catheter, apparently to save staff from having to help her to the bathroom and back. Physical therapy was hit or miss; in the first two days she was eligible, and was skipped by the staff. One of the physical therapists was probably 100 pounds overweight; and the physical therapy she did receive was minimal at best. The physical therapy department is not open on the weekends, so Saturday or Sunday PT is not a possibility. Food was passable to worse. My spouse was in a shared room with another client, a woman who loved to have her TV on late into the night with the sound at 100 DB - never did Staff come by to suggest the sound be turned down - giving my spouse earplugs which were little help. And result of the substandard nursing environment was that we checked out early, to the chagrin of several on the staff, who said "we were leaving against medical advice". We were pledged a referral for home-based nursing, but it took several phone calls and several days for Staff to file that paperwork. Overall grade, D. We would not recommend this place.
