My husband loves their Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissants (JHCC). I come here mainly for that and sometimes black coffee if the line at Starbucks is too long. Their other donuts are okay but nothing spectacular for me to rave about. I just mainly stick to their JHCC and each is roughly $3. The best I've had is at this donut shop in Newport Beach directly across from the beach. The JHCC here does not compare but we couldn't find anything else around the area. Parking here is a major pain in the arse. I would not recommend coming any time between 6:30 am - 9:00 am and 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. You may get lucky but I've never been.. during those specific hours. Good luck! The owners here are friendly Cambodians who speak fairly good English. Their store is small but clean and organized. They sell other food items and drinks that I wouldn't recommend. I've had their sandwiches and wasn't impressed. Their Iced and blended drinks were way too sweet and mediocre in taste... nothing special. I would give them 2 - 2.5 stars but I'm giving them 3 for the friendly service and warm welcome every time I come here. I have no idea what first brought us to stop by this little shop stuffed between other miscellaneous businesses fighting with the drive-through Starbucks for customers' attention. Whatever it was, I'm glad we did. It's been almost four years now, and we still make the 40 minute, roundtrip drive just to come here and pick up some Vietnamese Sandwiches, Boba Smoothies, and Vietnamese Coffee. My dad finds a Vietnamese Sandwich shop wherever we go ((be it San Francisco, Vancouver, Sydney, Los Angeles, etc.)), resulting in a certain taste and set of expectations. He claims that this unassuming business makes the best he's had within a 30 mile radius. Same goes for my mom's appreciation of the authentic, Vietnamese Coffee. Funnily enough, I've never had the donuts. But I dream of the Coconut Boba Smoothie while I'm away at school, and it is one of the first things I grab when visiting home. I usually get the tasty pork sandwich, but for those of you out there that think toothpaste is spicy, beware of the sliced jalapeños that come inside. The Shrimp Spring Rolls are also decent for the price (($5 or so)) - not incredible, but always very fresh in my experience. The peanut dipping sauce is also pretty good. If you like your AC set on high like me, I recommend taking your food to go. There isn't much seating ((two tables)) and the air conditioner has never been on when we visit - just a ceiling fan providing enough movement of air for the wait. Everything is made after you order, which usually takes 10-15 minutes or so for our 4 sandwiches and drinks. Yes this is just a regular donut shop with viet food but me and my boyfriend make the drive over to this shop almost every day simply for the customer service. The second we walk in,she tells us hi and already starts our usual order without us needing to say anything! She's so kind and bashful, I love it! Stop here from time to time for some quick breakfast. I've ordered their donuts once, they were like any other donut shop, and were good quality donuts. Main thing I always get is the ham, egg, & cheese croissant, which are very filling for the price. A croissant and 16oz coffee runs about $6 bucks. Cheaper than Starbucks that's 50ft away. Talking about coffee, nothing against the big chain coffee but this donut shops coffee is pretty flavorful and at par with Starbucks. (Without all the fancy names) Only reason it's not 5 stars: Last time I went the milk steamer wasn't working and I couldn't get my coffee hot. I have been going to this place for a long time, they used to be on my way home from work, now they are on my way home from the barber, so I go here whenever I get a haircut now. They are always very good, their Vietnamese sandwiches and their chocolate filled donuts are the best. I like how they do not use a custard or anything like that, but real thick chocolate. When donuts are surprisingly hit and miss, this place seems to be consistently good. They have cafe sua da and they make it with cafe sua da ice cubes! Just like Grandpa used to make!!! As far as taste goes, it's pretty on par with LIttle Saigon's cafe sua da- it just lasts longer with these ice cubes. If you order it, it's called "Vietnamese Cappuccino"- why? I'm not sure. Their glazed donuts are pretty bomb. I work near here and everyone at work loves to get Yum Yum donuts. Well, it tastes like Yuck Yuck to me- always leaves and after taste. The donuts here are pretty legit. When you order a bagel, they put A LOT of cream cheese on. If you are picky about this, ask to spread it yourself. You will thank me later. I like minimal amounts. 100 ° weather calls for a ice cold boba so we headed here. I ordered blended mango/with boba. We also ordered their delicious BBQ pork Vietnamese sandwiches. The fresh french baguette they baked for the sandwiches are so gooood. I thought about their sandwich all week. I also chose a few pastries. I've been sitting with my sister and nieces waiting for our order for over 20 minutes now. We ordered 3 blended boba drinks and a Banh mi. It's not necessarily the wait that has me upset, but the fact that there were 2 separate parties who ordered AFTER us and whose orders were completed before ours. The party after us ordered 3 beverages. The person after them ordered a donut and a beverage. If we would have had to wait for the meat in our sandwich to get cooked or something while she prepared their drinks, I understand, but this wasn't the case. I didn't know I could be so impressed by a little donut shop but I am! I have been a customer here for almost four years and although I am addicted to their coffee flavored boba drink, my loyalty is mainly due to the fact that I just love the two women who work here. I once came in and ordered several drinks and a dozen donuts but forgot my wallet and the woman who was closing that night was so kind and understanding, letting me pay for it all the next time I came in! They are both very friendly 100% of the time and have remembered my drink order all these years. They now have a stamp card that will get you a free drink after 10 boba purchases, which I will definitely be using up quickly!
