The price was right and we trusted he could do a full renovation, because he reassured us he could get it done. He said it'd be done in a month and even had a late fee clause. So we felt it okay to deposit a 50% deposit of $15,000 for materials. They did minimal work, enough to make it look like they were getting started. after that was done, it was problem after problem. "We need the permits, just wait a bit longer," and so on. Believe it or not, he even made up a fake text message from an inspector. After awhile, we could tell he didn't intend to complete the project. Within a few days of that, he said he'd refund us. That was another big lie. He kept dodging meet ups and then went completely silent towards us. It's been a month since he's abandoned the project. The damages from his work turned a livable home into a construction site. So now the home is in worst condition than when we started. Losses all around. In fact, we're disappointed to hear we're not the only victims of this man's dishonesty. We've spoken with another and have seen many (even recent) reviews that share similar stories. Be careful. Stay away. That good price might seem like it's saving you money, but it'll end up costing you a bunch in stress, time, and legal fees -- trust me.

We've now had another roofer out and learned that he did not do what he was supposed to. My roof is going to have to be redone. We are taking him to court. Save yourself the trouble. His total cost was 30% less than I guessed it would be considering the time and amount of professional work he completed.
