This thing runs on four D size batteries but will light an entire room. So, I go looking for D batteries in preparation. Not only were D batteries a scarcity but flashlights had sold out too. I take a trip to Ace. At first, they had none too. But the staff, the very kind staff, found a box of D cell batteries and then FOUND me wandering around the store to give them to me. The store is tucked away in the corner of the hectic and sweeping Toco Hills Shopping Center, between Publix and Goldbergs. The interior of the store looks a little weathered, but it's pretty organized, with aisle descriptions and staff willing to assist. Now, let's talk about the rental department. I rented a lawnmower here once and the process was quick and simple -- no issues at all. The lady working the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping. Understandable, but not what I wanted to hear. I called Chamblee Ace, and they said "Sure, you just pay for the cut." There were 14 8"x10" pieces I needed cut. Lance (I'm pretty sure his name was Lance) said it would take about an hour. A little over an hour later he called and said they were ready. How much did he charge me? $20. I was expecting to pay probably twice that. And the work was beautifully done, nice, clean, precise cuts. It's a little out of my way, but I'm going to Chamblee Ace for my hardware needs from now on.
