While I can't think of anything amazing to write about the company, I think the more important thing is that I have nothing bad to say about them, and that is important when looking for a property management/ apartment rental company... at least in my book! The maintenance people are very nice, and very efficient, professional and helpful. All of that goes for office personnel as well. Buildings are kept clean... my only complaint would be that when I moved into my apartment I think that the walls and carpet could have been a little bit more clean than they were... but oh well, not the end of the world. read more

Nordblom Company - Property Management Near Me - Burlington, Massachusetts

I truly can't imagine anyone who rents at 712 Tucker in Raleigh (a community newly managed by Nordblom) renews their lease for a second term. I choose this apartment because I loved the look and location and didnt want to have to move after my lease ran out. Unfortunately, as you can see from all the other terrible reviews, 712 Tucker/Nordblom Company has some incredibly serious health, safety and communications concerns that are exasperated by a terrible management company. 1) The fire alarms go off monthly, if not more frequently (conveniently happens in the middle of the night and go on for about an hours before someone turns them off). This is obviously a huge concern to the safety of all residents. When I brought this concern to the management they said it was something we just had to deal with. The management then sent out extremely rude emails to residents asking us not to contact them when the alarms go off. 2) It takes months for the management at 712 Tucker to fix serious safety concerns. The garage doors were stuck in an open position, allowing anyone to enter the property. This resulted in a few people having their cars broken into. The issue continued for at least 2-3 weeks before they had anyone out to fix it. Additionally, there was a hole in the ceiling dripping musty water for over a month. We had to walk past this multiple times a day to walk our dog and we were concerned about why nobody was trying to fix it. 3) They are obsessive about the valet trash. The trash company sometimes "forgets" to pick up your trash and if you leave it out past 9AM 712 Tucker management will fine you a $25 fee. So, if you ever take a sick day or want to sleep in, be sure to set your alarm for 8:50AM to pick up your trash can so you don't get fined. 4) The property itself has some issues: The hot water in the apartments runs out in about 10 minutes, so be prepared to take quick showers and don't even think about taking a hot bath. The fire pit they show you when you tour the property has not worked in the 10 months I've been here. The TV outside does not work. The hot tub chemicals are more often than not way out of normal proportions causing the eyes and nose to burn. The coffee machine works 50/50. 5) While the location is amazing and the apartments are beautiful the noise is intense. Lots of partying groups, drunk people and yelling late at night. Most of these issues could be fixed with management and leasing professionals who care about their residents. This company is shockingly bad. Every single person I ever talked to was so damn rude that it blew me and my roommates mind. The worst was Judy, her lack of empathy and sympathy for residents was so a sad. I can only hope that several of the employees here choose a career behind a computer with no communication with residents. read more

I lived in Beacon St in The Regent building, for about 6 months and I simply loved it! The building was managed by Nordblom and they do a wonderful work of keeping it in perfect conditions! We had to break our lease because we wanted to have a dog and they don't accept pets there, and they were really nice, friendly and helpful with us. I have nothing to complain at all. read more

I lived in Pelham Hall in Coolidge Corner, managed by Nordblom. for about 15 months and can say that I have absolutely not one complaint. Nordblom is a very professional management company who takes care of their buildings, responds to inquiries or issues in a very timely manner and, most importantly, does not try to screw anyone out of any money. My lease signing and move in was easy, as was my moving out experience. When renewal time came, they only raised my rent by $10. And they offered me a month-to-month if that's what I needed. That's unheard of in this city! Ultimately, I left Pelham Hall and Nordblom because of some changes in my personal life and have ended up in South End. I have to say, though, that I would readily move into another Nordblom building down here if they had one! read more

I currently live in one of the buildings they own on Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner. I was unaware that all of their buildings are "smoking buildings" Tenants are allowed to smoke in their apartments, just not in the common areas of the building. Which is great if you are a smoker, but if you are not, are trying to quit, have asthma, or have a child, do not rent from the Nordblom Company because you will be breathing in second hand smoke all day everyday and be forced to keep your windows open even in the winter, so you have some kind of ventilization of air in your apartment! It is my own fault for just assuming that the "smoke out" in 2002 that occurred in the city of Boston did not apply to residential buildings, or maybe it just did not apply to buildings managed by the Nordblom Company? Also, they do not take any precautionary measures when it comes to preventing the infestation of rodents or roaches in their buildings. You would think that some kind of treatment would be taken seeing how August and September are huge move in dates for the city of Boston, but no. The Nordblom Company likes to wait until their is a massive infestation and then wait for the complaints from tenants when the places that they call "home" are infested, and the tenants health and "habitability" are in jeopardy. There response is always the same "we did not know, because no one else complained about it". Which is complete BS! When the Nordblom Company is informed of the infestation they take what is important to them into consideration first, which is their time and money and not the well being of their tenants or the residences that the Nordblom Comapany manage and are responsible for finding solutions to the problems that they helped create. read more

My name is Tamar Hirshfeld. I lived in Pelham apartment building for 13 months. The building location is 1284 Beacon ST Brookline and managed by Nordblom Company. The building is managed excellent by all means. Both building and my apartment were beautiful, well kept, aesthetic and stylish. I came into a renovated apartment, new appliances, fresh wood floor, huge stylish windows and a beautiful kitchen. Above all is most efficient, friendly and helpful stuff. Nordblom keeps ongoing upgrading the building, and clearly make any afford to keep high standard building and service. Gym and laundry rooms are aesthetic and well kept. Coolidge corner location is the best. Living there was altogether a homey feeling. I had to leave when I purchased my own condo. As I said I felt I'm leaving a home. read more

My wife and I have lived in Pelham Hall for over 5 years. The management company is great. They are all responsive, professional and courteous. I have never had a complaint about the management of the property. If something breaks, then they fix it promptly. The only drawback to living in the building is that it does not have central A/C, but that is the price you pay to live in a beautifully renovated 1920s building. read more

i'm only giving this one star because it won't let me just leave it blank. when i first toured this building, i thought it was amazing. i'm a professional photographer and wanted a professional type building to live in. something quiet so i could get editing done, be able to sleep when i get back from a late shoot, etc. at first, everything was great. then as a month went on, it got dramatically worse. my neighbor next door (we have a faux wall separating our apts, which was not told to me before i moved in) was obnoxiously loud. this past year, i've had to call the police on her for noise at 3am. she didn't open the door for them. i wrote everything down like management asked me to. date, time, what was going on. they said they had given her notices about being quiet. throughout this year, management has gotten more and more shady. one of the girls in the office told me AND my mom that they had gone around asking the other neighbors about the girl. everyone had a complaint about noise and her lifestyle. i went down to talk to the girl in the office and she apologized for it going on so long and i must be relieved to know i'm not alone in this anymore. a week later, i talked to the lady higher up in management. she yelled at me on the phone and said that my neighbor recorded me "yelling" on the phone one day and that because of it, they would no longer let me live here. keep in mind quiet hours are at 10:30 and the conversation i was having on the phone was way before 9pm. they had told me before that the girl next door could be as loud as she wants till quiet hours. but back to the "yelling".... it was a few days after the marathon bombers got caught/killed. i was having an anxiety attack. recording someone like that is illegal. i told the lady that the whole part of the hall had complained against the girl. she had no knowledge of it and continued to raise her voice over me. i was being calm, this lady was getting insane. i walked down to the office to talk to the girl who had told me about the complaints from the rest of the hall. she took back everything she said and pretended as if nothing happened. i went and talked to the people across the hall from the girl and they confirmed that management went door to door and people had complaints. so basically, in a nutshell, management is not concerned about how happy their tenants are. they are forcing me out at the end of my lease all because i had an anxiety attack, yet the girl that makes noise basically every night between 11-4:30am... nothing happens to her. if you want a professional building and good management, don't live here. they don't care about anyone but themselves. glad i'm moving out of here soon and going to atlanta. this building is horrible. also, the elevators break all the time. the only good thing about this building is the maintenance and how timely they get things done. good luck apt shopping. but i do not recommend living here. read more
