This place looks like a bomb went off in there every single time I go, however I want to commend the sales people for always being helpful and having smiles on their faces. This place is horribly organized. Went to return items that I purchased online. Had to stand in a line that lasted over 30 minutes. Upon finally getting to the front, the cashier quickly applied credit but upon returning home realized she had only given me credit for portion of transaction. Extremely frustrated with this place. Now I will have to call tomorrow and will probably be on hold for another 30 minutes . Avoid this place! Will not receive the Nordstrom experience at this location. Might just be weekend madness but I have been to the Rack in Laguna hills and Laguna Niguel on the weekends and was much more organized. read more

i LOVE nordierack. seriously my go-to store. they have everything. you walk in and you have your fine(r) jewelry and designer sunglasses. then you got tons of makeup and jewelry. if you look carefully you can find really cute givenchy, juicy,betsy j goodies! then you have scarfs and wraps galore. after all this goodness you got yourself HOARDS of clothes and even if theres not a clearance sale going on all the clothes are marked down at a cheaper price. also if you look carefully and you get lucky you can score some amazing deals on shoes & purses! I think I just came here too often it never occurred to me to review. I prefer this store to the other Nordstrom Racks that I've been to. Most of the time I can always find my size and there's a good selection of items and brands here. It's a nice compromise when I don't have time to head to the factory outlets. The nice thing about Nordstrom Rack is that the staff can ring you up on the sales floor and you can skip the long line at the register, which moves pretty fast anyway. read more

the line. zzzzzzzz.... clothing. so overwhelming, i don't even like looking through everything. but, i know that they have a huge selection of womens and mens (and childrens) clothing. for me, it seems like everything is still pretty expensive. shoes. i come to nordstrom rack for the shoes, but it's usually a hit or miss. i go because i'm a size 5, which means it's really hard to find shoes - they have a good number of shoes in each size here, but i would say about 2 out of 3 times i come here, i leave without anything (it's a good and bad thing :P) purses. ehhhh. they often have kate spade, betsey johnson, michael kors, and some marc jacobs. i don't know much about purses, but generally all of the purses are too blingy-looking for my liking. overall, meh. read more

I'm only giving this place four stars because I've never physically been to this location. However, I've ordered designer shoes from this store and I have to say I am extremely impressed by the customer service in the shoes department! The manager is awesome, he found the Jimmy Choos I was lusting after and then had one of his associates call me and ask if I wanted a pair of snake skin Christian Louboutins...well hell yes! Everyone I have spoken to on the shoes team have been very helpful and kind. If the rest of the store is just as good as the shoes department I may have to venture down from the Bay to see it! read more

I just have to say that I have been to quite a few Nordstrom Rack stores in LA and the South bay, and this has got to be the best Nordstrom Rack out of all of them. I always find great men's shoes here. I found two pairs of Taryn Rose shoes here retail 400+ for a bill and some change here. Oh yea I just got these awesome Ed Hardy Belts there too. The best as far as The Rack goes. They have a designer section everyday, loaded with Alexander Wang, St. John, Alice & Olivia, Valentinos... you name it. The purse section is great as well with some killer deals. This is the best Rack I've ever been to! Loves it. read more

Terrible service today. Waited over 30 minutes for someone to unlock a $500 bag I wanted to buy. Had to hunt down 2 team members that both paged an accessories dept. worker, but still no one ever came. Was told they were too busy (its among the slowest I've ever seen it) and given a scripted 'sorry' but I was never offered a solution.... how about communicating a wait time, getting your manager, or offering to order it for me and have it shipped? I have been to many Nordstrom Racks, I love them! Love Nordstroms! But this one is the worst! Two days ago I bought a pair of shoes for my 18month old. After he wore them around the house for a couple of hours I realized they were just a little too tight. (Left red marks on his heels) I took them back to exchange them (less than 2days later; I purchased the shoes on 6/14 at 7pm and returned to exchange them 6/16 5pm.) for a bigger size and they refused to take them back because they had been "worn". (Aka had a smudge of dust/dirt on the bottoms) I asked for a manager and she said the same thing, that it was against policy to return or exchange an item that had been worn. After I left I looked up the return policy and this is what it says: "We handle returns on a case-by-case basis with the ultimate objective of making our customers happy. We stand behind our goods and services and want customers to be satisfied with them. We'll always do our best to take care of customers--our philosophy is to deal with them fairly and reasonably. We have long believed that when we treat our customers fairly, they in turn are fair with us. We do apply returns to the tender it was purchased with." I do not feel like this policy was adhered to at all. If you stand behind your goods then you should understand when something doesn't fit right, I have the right to return or exchange it. Especially, if it's an infant's item, it's not like he can can't tell me they are too tight. He can't even talk yet, just jabbers with a couple real words here and there. The ladies who took care of me were rude and refused to listen when I showed them the date and time of the purchase. I mean really? Less than 2days had past and they wouldn't take them back, they have shoes in the store that have been tried on more hours then my purchase and return. I definitely won't be returning to this location anytime soon. read more

Went down to the OC location after a recommendation from a friend. Heard they had a much better selection then the stores in west LA and less crowds. OK, not only was I super impressed with the store - but the men's dept assistant manager Chase S - is by far the #1 reason why this review gets 5 stars. The entire time spent in the rack felt like concierge service. My intent was to buy 1 suit - wound up getting 2 killer designer suits, 2 shirts, new boots, belt, and accessories. Felt relaxed the entire time, shown all the right styles and I can't say how much Chase truly went out of his to make sure the entire shopping experience was an A+. Will 100% make the 30 mile trip from downtown anytime and highly recommend the location for - Service, Selection, Price and Ease of access. read more

I don't frequent Nordstrom Rack where I live--I had the opportunity while visiting Southern California to take a look in the Metro Pointe at South Coast location. Although a friend and myself came out with one item each, it seemed to both of us this store had a rather slim selection. Hopefully this is one of those cyclical things, depending on the time of year and whatnot. Rude cashiers and rude managers. I heard the manager call my friend a "bitch" when she walked away. This is uncalled for, especially from Nordstrom employees. My sister works for Nordstrom store and when I told her what happened she definitely said to report it. I have reported it to Nordstrom customer service. I just hope that lady gets fired. This used to be a fabulous Nordstrom Rack with lots of high end designer goods. Now they are like all the other NRs, carrying items made especially for outlet stores and not feature in Nordstroms. You can still find some treasures in the shoe Dept but it is messy & disorganized. Lines are long at check out and beware, kiosk green shirts get bogged down with returns and credit card issues so you'll have to wait there too. Couldn't find anyone to help me at the jewelry cabinets and with a 15 min wait at the fitting rooms I decided it just wasn't worth the effort. Maybe paying full price isn't so bad after all. read more

I love going to Nordstrom rack because of the amazing deals they have going on. However, this specific location in my opinion is probably the worst to go to. There's always so much people here and usually that would be fine with me but because so much people go here, all of their items are tossed and turned everywhere. Poor employees don't even have enough time to fix everything before something else gets messed up. They also never have the average size for clothes or anything because it's usually always all sold out so its hard to even find anything. I would suggest to go to a different Nordstrom rack that's not as high populated as this one so you can actually find things. read more

I have never been so disappointed in the service and audacity of this store. From the moment I walked into this location I was singled out. The store was a MESS and very hard to find help. As a friend was checking out she pointed out that the dress she was purchasing had a tear and wondered if there any others, the "manager" popped up out of no where saying we don't discount for tears. Not only was the "manager" rude they also charged her wrong price and insinuated that it was her fault! She had to wait 1/2 hour to correct it. That same "manager" also wanted to escort another friend to the correct line as the line we were in was 5 items or less but there was no one else in line. When my turn came up I was upset but felt bad for the cashier for having to deal with a rude "manager". My dresses were supposed to be discounted but 1 was not ringing up correctly. Which would be ok but there were no other dresses like it to verify that it was not on sale. So I asked to speak to a different manager which was NO HELP. I understand there's policy but when there is clearly a mistake in the pricing it should always be honored. Instead of honoring the correct price the "manager" prolonged the wait of other customers by taking her time coming out of her office and arguing her point, although we were just told that that particular line was for express payments. By that point I was fed up with the condescending attitudes the managers and the sloppy mismanaged store. I paid for my purchases and wanted out. I have seen the replies from the store and am not hopeful for the response or care that Nordstrom's brand is known for. The treatment from the leadership at this location is unexpected and far below any customer service standards. read more

I want to commend the floor associates here. I lost my iPhone in the shoe area a while back and got extremely panicked. The phone has many of my baby's photos. Many of the employees helped me sweep the shoe racks and floor trying to locate my phone. One of the gentlemen employee reminded me of the find my iPhone feature and we played a sound to my lost phone, and viola, among the loud music and everything everyone talking, he located my phone! I could not thank him enough! He was also very helpful checking sizes for me before the lost phone episode. I hope he gets a promotion soon. read more

Wanted to buy a pair of Nike running shoes. They were clearly worn before and were very dirty - not to mention they were missing a shoe lace (which they couldn't provide a replacement for). When I asked if they could provide me with a discount (nothing crazy, like 10% would have been nice) the snarky woman behind the counter said they were only worn 'in store'. Ummm, no. They were black on the bottom of white soled shoes and had something resembling gum in the tred. I ended up buying another pair. The prices are lower, and I suppose you get what you pay for. It costs nothing to be nice, and the woman was very rude. Besides that they have a great selection in shoes, just don't go in expecting clean or laced shoes. read more

Lines are always very long, return policy is ambiguous and frustrating, and the quality of options there are pretty poor.

you can find some great deals here--but you've got to work for it. also, augusta s.'s review is pretty dead on--keep the xanax at the ready--this place can boarder on overwhelming. i've found some great deals on haircare and skincare here, as well as some deeply discounted jeans and workout attire. great place for high end labels, and lots of basics (think: tanktops, cardigans, jeans, etc...). their shoe selection is huge, but can be a bit chaotic. but hey, it's all about the thrill of the hunt. and when you emerge with some coach sunglasses for $60--it makes it all worthwhile. read more
