With few exceptions each location is the same - same clothing same pricing. Today we were pretty much ignored. To get answers on stock or availability we had to hunt someone down. This Lululemon store is on the quieter side of SCP, nearby where the old Apple store used to be. I personally love this place because it never gets too busy when I go, and it feels more spacious than other locations. On my recent trip, I noticed they now sell grip socks in store! The workers here are super friendly, and are more than happy to see if they have additional stock in the back. Prices are pretty competitive, and with items ranging from $39-159. read more

I like this Lululemon location in South coast. It is located on the bottom floor diagonally across from Alo. Lululemon is superior to Alo my opinion. This location is quite large and spacious and it was easy to find the items that I came for. Immediately I was assigned a dressing room and skeins was helping me grab sizes while I was trying clothes on. They were super helpful and the staff were all friendly which made the shopping experience even better. The clothes were all folded nicely and I went on a busy weekend so that was very impressive to me. I don't usually write reviews for stores but I felt compelled to since I had a good experience here. I originally wanted a certain set but after realizing the material is not what I wanted I would have walked out but she showed me a few items and she was so nice and helpful along with being patient with me! The two most amazing associates helped me today (pretty sure one was manager level). I had a loose thread in an Align HR short that I got for Christmas last month. I've never brought an item in before under the Quality Promise so I was a bit nervous and skeptical but since the shorts were basically new, I figured it was worth a shot. I did not catch their names but the two girls helping me at register really made sure that I was able to come out with a resolution that I was happy with. They made sure to check in and would reassure me that they were working on the best possible solution. After just a few minutes, I was able to exchange my shorts for new ones! Girl let me tell you the ordeal we went through. My sister found these foldable hiking pants and for the life of us we could not figure out how to fold them neatly into the pocket. We looked on Google and TikTok and we were cooked. Enter the lululemon employees. 100/10 service. Asked us if we needed help and help we needed. The manager, who looks like Reese Witherspoon, short, platinum blonde hair, almost white, was demeaning and wouldn't make an exception for one return. I've gotten HORRIBLE service at other Lululemon stores, but luckily never here. The staff is amazing and very helpful. They usually approach me and ask if I need help with anything. They usually always find my size for me and then get me set up to go into a fitting room. The great service is maybe because I shop here on random Tuesdays around noon when it's not busy? And that's why they are so helpful since it's not crowded? Idk, but I am always very happy at this store and selection. I love the clothing so much, it's really worth the price. Note! Always have good experience here except for today. Hubby and I had some stuff to return. The girl who helped us was rude and not helpful. Gave my husband a bad attitude when she asked for his email. And when I asked to return a pair of leggings that attract so much lint and pilling like crazy for credit she said they don't make it anymore and that no return accepted for pilling. This was a major let down that Lulu doesn't even stand behind the quality of their products. Date of Visit: Sunday, December 8th I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by the subpar level of customer service I received during my visit. I brought in several pairs of Lululemon socks to exchange due to a design flaw. Specifically, the sticky grip on the heel--intended to keep the socks in place--loses its effectiveness after washing. This causes the socks to slip down and bunch under the foot while worn, defeating their intended purpose. The staff informed me they couldn't locate my transaction and claimed that this was a "wear and tear" issue, which Lululemon doesn't cover. However, this is not a standard wear-and-tear situation--it's a flaw in functionality. The socks were purchased specifically for their grip feature, which no longer works as advertised. This is especially frustrating because I've been a loyal Lululemon customer for over a decade, with a wardrobe that includes more than 15 pairs of Lululemon joggers, among many other items. I never expected to be writing a review--over socks, of all things--but this experience has made me question my loyalty to the brand. My family, my staff, and I wear Lululemon almost exclusively, and my purchases likely amount to tens of thousands of dollars annually. We visited the Lululemon store at South Coast Plaza today with our two young daughters (7 and 3). What should have been a normal shopping trip ended up feeling uncomfortable and honestly pretty upsetting. From the start, we were approached repeatedly, so often that it didn't feel like helpful service anymore. It felt like we were being monitored. We were asked if we needed help every couple of minutes, which was already excessive. But what really tipped it over the edge was seeing one employee walk toward the back of the store, stop and, point toward us as if signaling someone else to keep an eye on us. Almost immediately after that, another employee came over again to ask if we needed anything. At that point, we felt singled out. We weren't doing anything wrong. We were simply a family browsing. The experience came across less like customer care and more like suspicion disguised as attentiveness. My wife had already chosen a jacket, so we purchased it--but we did it quickly and left because we didn't feel comfortable staying in the store. For a premium brand, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I placed an online order for pickup in store on Saturday morning 3/15, my confirmation email stated I had until store closing, SUNDAY at 7pm 3/16 to pick it up, a full day, after placing the order Saturday. When I arrived, they stated couldn't find it and said I was "too late it was cancelled" The manger came out and said "policy was 24 hrs". Turns out they cancelled it same-day Saturday night, just 12hrs after I made the purchase. They really lacked apology or care for the complete waste of my time, and lack of communication to notify me. The manager Informed me I could just purchase it again, meanwhile, I was still pending refund for my cancelled order. It is a very chaotic and disorganized location, and they do not follow their own policies. I'll choose other locations moving forward. read more

HIGHLIGHT / LOWLIGHT - I am a woman of color (Spanish and Asian / Filipina). I am a loyal Lululemon customer for many years. I went to the Lululemon store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA on Monday, 08/15, to do a simple size exchange for a pair of leggings that I purchased online with a slight Healthcare worker discount (I'm a hard-working Covid Nurse, that's right!). Instead of allowing a simple exchange for a different size the Sales Person (and Manager beside him) refused the change. I left the store, called Lululemon Corporate (who were very helpful), they said "of course we can help you with that! We can even talk to the Lululemon Manager at the physical store for you." So I headed backside and told the Sales Associate and his female Manager "I have someone from the Lululemon Help Center on the line, they'd like to talk to you so we can please make this exchange." The manager goes, "Ugh, just give her the exchange." And they did. 25 minutes after my initial talk with the Sales Associates, and after jumping through a few unnecessary hoops, I received my leggings in one size larger. I mention the comment about bias because I observed the way that people like myself, as a person of color, was treated by the Sales Associate and his female manager. It was night and day, a welcome smile and greeting to those of the lighter complexion, and a stone-face to those a bit darker. In short: Positives: Lululemon makes excellent clothing, and the corporate office was respectful on the phone. Negatives: This Costa Mesa store treated me like a "lesser that" like a second class citizen and that isn't right. No one should be treated like that. Post note: I wrote the corporate office an email after the incident, but what I received back is attached as a picture to this email, a simple generic form letter "we appreciate your feedback" with no actual direct response to my incident. Items are nice but their return policy is horrible! Basically wanted to return an item less than 30 days old (new never worn w/ tags) and I don't have the receipt. They could not find the transaction by my phone number or email (which they initially took when i bought the items). They then try and look for it by swiping the card i used to make the transaction and no luck. Odd when i can pull it up on the chase app and know its the right card, right store. My guess is that the idiot who took my purchase initially got my phone number and email entered in wrong....fail! Incompetent customer service. Terrible Customer Service by Lindsay Not my first time at this location but most certainly will be my last. I've been a customer of Lululemon for years - both in store and online. The brand constantly is updating and changing their fits which typically wouldn't be an issue but I've recently seen a downturn in north quality and consistency in production with their fabrics and product sizing. I bought two pairs of ABC Classic fit shorts from a different location and realized after leaving the store that they were drastically different in sizing despite being labeled identical. The black was far more loose than the obsidian - this is something I've read online happen to others but I've never had it happen to me. I went to this location to explain to the educator (Lindsay) that the sizing was different and that I would like to exchange the product for one of that matched the sizing of the pair that actually fit. She haphazardly put them up to one another and said "Nope not returning them because the pair I give you would be exactly the same." Lindsay's tone was condescending and plain rude. She works in customer service and I'm pretty sure is the manager of this location - I've seen her there many times. I go to the fashion island one all the time and NEVER have had an interaction like this with even associate level staff there. They're vastly different experiences from one another and the Fashion Island location has more inventory anyway. Save yourself a trip and a bad experience. Don't shop here. Buy online or at another location. 100% do not come here if you have an issue with their product - they'll be rude, condescending, and waste your time. read more

However after today's in-store experience with Alondra we can clearly identify that high quality customer service interactions hold a significant value that needs to be embraced. Alondra was empathetic, understanding, professional and warm; she went above and beyond to excel expectations. Here is the story: Our loved aunt passed away recently and there was a specific type of clothing needed for her burial gown. After some research we were pleased to find that Lululemon carries the specific style and material needed so we went ahead and placed an online pick up order from the Cerritos Mall location. After realizing the slip my uncle went to Lululemon South Coast Plaza which is our closest location wanting to exchange the piece and you know...ready for some retail push back. Well, not only there wasn't any push back, but Alondra took the time to help my uncle find the right color and size needed to make sure my aunt's gown is as close to perfect as we vision. She shared her condolences and made the whole interaction smooth and effortless. We are highly grateful, Alondra is a great representation of your brand, your mission and character. I would highly recommend not doing business with Lululemon. I bought a gift card before Christmas for a family member. They decided they want something different. Lululemon refuses to return a gift card. They said it's final sale, but they don't disclose it to you when they sell it to you, they don't verbalize that to you. There's no signs by the register that says gift cards or final sale. I would highly recommend never buy a gift card and I would reframe doing business with these people. You're not safe in their stores you're not allowed to call the police if somebody's in there Robin somebody they put you at risk. Just like some others reviews said, we encounter a bad experience today with Gary, the manager at this store when we tried to return something. We've been going to this store for years and had great experience with all the past managers until today. My wife bought a shirt and the quality and the look became unacceptable after the first wash. Gary insisted on we should be like him and try it on first. We are sorry Mr Manager and just because you are ready to put anything from the store onto yourself does not mean we were brought up the same way. My wife, being a health care provider is not willing to put anything on her to try on without washing it first or without knowing whose hands were touching it prior to owning the product, especially during this time when covid or other virus cases are again on the rise. We are not that brave and do not want to get any germs on us, and that is our choice as a customer. We do not need your help to teach us the way you live. Beside, all others stores such as Alo Yoga, Beyond Yoga, Nordstrom, Amazon and even Costco and other lower end stores are willing to accept return in case the quality and look become unacceptable after your first cold/delicate wash, as courtesy to the customer and to improve the quality control of the product. We are just reporting this bad experience so other shoppers may be aware of what they may expect if they want to return any poor quality item at this Costa Mesa Lululemon.Hopefully, we will receive a little less disrespect at other Lululemon stores. read more
