Nordstrom /Nordstrom rack is one of my favorite stores to shop. I usually drive about 25 miles to go to the nearest location from where I live . I needed comfortable boots for work so instead of driving I order them online on of my boots I ordered two pairs by mistake so I took one back a week a go and I decided to take the other pair as well cause I have bunions in my feet and that wasn't comfortable for me any ways Unfortunately that one didn't work out for me so I decided to take it back unwarned and brand new in the box to this location (Dublin CA) . The cashier that "helped me " (didn't do my return) was rude and had no clue what was she doing . She kept telling me you already returned this one I told her I ordered 2 pairs by mistake I returned one a week ago and this is the second one but she wouldn't listen and kept saying go check you card the money is already returned when I showed her that I didn't receive the money she told me to go call customer service and find out what happened. So I went back in the car and checked my credit card statement again which I can check it through the app to see if I have received the refund for both boots but I didn't, I went back and stand in the long return line again this time I got another cashier which was no better then the first one . I explained again what was going on and I'm assuming she overheard the situation at the first time with first cashier she is telling me to open the box , I did and very rudely ask me "where is the tag " I told her there was no tag this is bought online and I'm bringing everything as I received it and she says In a rude voice "I don't care what the situation is I'm going to return it ".... Terrible terrible experience! Never buy things from them! The manager Threatened to throw me out of store today. And she definitely have some stereotype of certain race (I just want to polite not to use racist). Ok, Let me tell your whole store. Two weeks ago, I bought 3 pieces furniture from rack online store. Normally I don't buy furniture online because I cannot check the quality. But it is a good bargain from the website and it says from the page that I can return to the pieces back to STORE or by MALE. So it is convenient I can just take them back to store if the quality doesn't meet my standard. After more than one week, I received the furniture. But it wasn't 3 pieces, it was only 2 pieces. Yes, one piece was missing. And the package was totally broken. So I called the costume services to request them sending the missing piece. They told me they cannot send me the missing piece, either return or take 28 dollars refund. I spend 150 bucks on 3 pieces, they just want to refund me 28 bucks for that missing piece. And then I ask them could they come to pick it up because the package is totally broken, putting furniture back and repackage them was not possible. They told me they wouldn't send anyone to pick them up. I had to deliver the furniture to the usps store. Later, when I re-search the website, I see that it is said i can return both to store or by mail. Considering that if I returned back with its broken package it probably would broke the furniture, so I went to the rack store to return. When I took almost 40 pounds furniture to the store, the lady manager refused. When I tried to explain the situation, she threatened to throw me out of store. She had these attitudes that certain RACE had very loud voice and bad temper. She made me stop explaining and told me that she would take action if I continued talking in that VOICE. At last, I left store with that 40 pounds furniture. read more

Every time that I come to this specific Nordstrom Rack, I leave being reminded on how shopping online is much more pleasurable than the experience I am left with in-store. It is a known fact that the customer service here is pretty mediocre and I've witnessed this a good amount of times when purchasing/returning items here. I've had times where the sales associates don't greet me when I come up to their counter, or even say goodbye to me when I leave -- you would think this common practice would be part of their training but it is not. However, this isn't the reason why I'm sharing this review. I couldn't care less for bitter people. I am writing this review due to my recent visit. It was so brutal that I was left a nasty taste in my mouth and my blood boiled from a poor excuse of a retail experience. I came in last week to return a couple of online items and wanted to get a price adjustment on one item I just got before the extra 25% off red tags clearance sale started. Prior to my visit, I contacted customer service to ensure that I would be able to do this, which the representative said, "Technically, we do not do price adjustments. However, what you can do is return the item and rebuy it." So, that is what I attempted to do. After waiting in a horrendously long line, I was next to be helped. I explained the situation to the sales associate as I just bought my item and then the Clear The Rack Sale happened, so the price dropped even more. The sales associate refused to listen to my request and told me that my item was not part of Nordstrom Rack, but, is a Hautelook item, which is not affiliated with their store. I was so shocked and looked at the woman confusedly... I replied, "First of all, this was not purchased under a limited Hautelook sale. It was part of the clearance sale and the price has been further reduced. Second of all, Nordstrom Rack is affiliated with Hautelook..." The sales associate kept trying to correct me as if I was wrong and added that returned items are actually sent back to the shipping center, so there would be no way for me to repurchase the item. I looked at her like she was crazy and could tell she was bullshitting me. I replied, "So, you mean to tell me every item that gets returned here is sent to the shipping center and isn't put back on the floor? Because I've been here countless of times and have seen items placed on racks." The sales associate then tried to say it was in the policy that people cannot rebuy items. At this moment, I knew she was trying to pull every lousy excuse out there to not complete my request. Frustrated, I asked her to show me the policy of where in the fine print does it say that because I spoke to customer service and they told me it was fine. She couldn't show me and kept repeating herself. Long story short, we went back and forth and I gave up; I returned the item that I wanted to keep and told the sales associate that I was never going to shop here again because of how horrible the customer service here is. Her response to me was, "Okay, fine never ever again." The entire ordeal just lost me as a customer -- never in my life have I had such an ugly experience like this. My friend was with me and couldn't believe a sales associate talked to me like that. The sad fact that the sales associate would rather have an upset customer and go back and forth when there were crowds of people waiting behind in line is disturbing. I wouldn't have wasted my time driving out here had I known this was going to happen. Never again. Also, shoutout to that sales associate for opening my eyes that having my Nordstrom card is completely useless as there's no respect to cardholders. I'm going to cut it up and throw it away. As a customer I've always had a good experience and find nice clothes. Now as a fulfillment specialist, I've gotten to meet employees and management. I'm impressed! The team is nice and the management seems pretty on point when it comes to training and ensuring CA regulations around breaks are followed. Others try to make you wave your meals but not here. This location needs to train their employees on the sales floor to respect every customer. There was a clothes rack where I guess all the misc. clothes are hung, and they have to be put back to where they belong. My mom was looking at some clothes on that hanger. This girl comes up to her and says "so, we are putting these away, so make sure you put these back on the hanger" and she started demonstrating how to properly put back a clothing. What the heck?! I thought we were customers, not an employee? The clothes hanger WAS unorganzied, but that was other customers who did that, not us. Even if it WAS us, isn't that HER job? When I said "we didn't do that", she said something like "but see here" and pointed to the floor, where there were some dropped clothing. I said "Thats not us." But thinking back I should have said something different because it doesn't matter who did that, I dont know why she kept harrasing us about it and not to any other customers. I also understand if she was annoyed because we were being messy, but we were NOT. My mom wasn't throwing clothes on the floor, was not being messy or anything. Maybe one piece of clothing fell to the floor because there was ALREADY so many clothes piled up withought hangers by other customers. In any case that does not justify harrasing a customer about it. I really hate to make this about race but us asians (especially my mom who is older and does not speak english very well) get treated like this so much I became paranoid. I want her to honestly ask herself, would she have said the same thing to a caucasian customer? I don't think so. Gladly I was there to fire back for her. To the employee: I'm sorry if you had a bad day and you wanted to take it out on an asian lady who you thought was gonna be all timid and say sorry and be scared of you, boy you picked the wrong person. I will not allow my mom to be treated like this, she is a customer just like everyone else. You do not get to talk to us that way. This store is so racist and the major is so unhelpful. As a loyal customer this makes me not want to buy from this store again. I have tried to ignore it many times, but this was the last straw. Someone from corporate need to check this location. My major issues is there return section. All of a sudden they no longer can look up purchase on your card to return and item or your phone number(they ask your number in case this happens). They now need exact time and date according to employ and manger. Who told me they could not help and they had too many customers and I need to give them that info or leave. I love this place!! Every time I come here, I always think it'll be a super short errand, I'll just go in and grab the one thing I need and leave. But then I always end up spending 2 hours here just browsing through all the good stuff they have. I've bought my favorite pair of Michael Kors flats here for $60!! what a steal. I also love their dresses. My favorite section is the makeup! You can always find really good, brand name makeup here at a discount, which is AWESOME. If you know anything about makeup, then you know that it's so rare to find quality makeup at a discounted price. Stuff is usually disorganized here but they try to keep it as neat as can be. It's definitely better than Marshall's or TJ Max in my opinion. They also have a 90-day return policy which I think is pretty generous! read more

It was always a pain to drive to San Leandro and Fremont so I'm glad they opened a location much closer to home. Unlike those locations, the Dublin store is more organized, cleaner, and have a better selection overall, especially for babies and kids. I can see how the wait time to check-out can be long on the weekends as they were pretty busy even on the weekday morning that I went. There are a few associates who use a mobile check-out so you just have to find them. Upon check-out I asked the cashier how often they get new items. She told me they get deliveries 5 days a week so it's certainly worth a visit. The staff I encountered were all friendly and willing to help. I'll definitely return. read more

One of my favorite things about Nordstrom Rack is that I'm able to return my HauteLook purchases here. It makes me feel so much more comfortable purchasing on HauteLook knowing I can just bring in any returns. This is a really nice Nordstrom Rack. Very clean, and so far, I have been really happy with the customer service. I even had a woman search all around to find a pair of pants I was looking for. I wish there were a bigger kids section, and a bit more expanded shoe departments, but overall, it's been great! I've purchased everything from makeup (the have Nyx!) to flip flops to mean's Bugatchi shirts and Hudson jeans. Me=happy girl. read more

It's new so of course the entire world flocks over to check out the new scene. With that said it was so crowded and finding what you needed to find was hard to none. This Nordstrom Rack greets ya with a table of designer sunglasses and then distributes the men towards the right and women in center aisles. The layout for check out is quite odd as it is towards the left side of the store. Meaning after you check out you have to walk through half the store to get back out? They had a few ladies in green checking people out mobil-y but even those lines were slow and long. Parking is a pain in the butt. It's hard to think how parking will be once all the other vendors move into their store space including Pacific Catch which will be across the way. The employees were friendly and tried to be helpful to the best of their ability. The carts they have in store are pretty honky. It allows guests to hang their clothing up, so if you're one of those people who throw everything you're considering in your basket and then spend 30 min taking everything out reconsidering, you'll love these carts. Definitely wait til the hype dies down here. It has potential but at the moment it's too crowded to be enjoyable read more

This NR is nothing to write home about. It's about the same size as the Fremont NR and is definitely smaller than the OG San Leandro location which is still the best. The Dublin location has a lot of crap (polyester tops, cheap gold plate jewelry, Steve Madden shoes) while other NR's have Longchamp, Burberry, Ferragamo, etc. If you're a guy, good luck. The right side of the store is dedicated to you, but the front is taken up by luggage and manpurses. Parking at Persimmon Place is a nightmare. There are one way lanes in the parking lot but they're not adequately marked as such. I can only imagine that this strip mall will become more of a cluster once the Whole Foods opens later this month. Seems like Dublin has sacrificed quality just to be able to say they have these stores in their city (but then again, I'm not surprised - look at what they did to their hills! Tragic). I can't lie, I was a little underwhelmed with this Nordstrom Rack location. I think the NR in Fremont is better - honestly, dare I even say I prefer the San Leandro location? There were a lot of people here on the Saturday I came to visit. We patiently waited for a parking spot, and entered into the store. There were two guys in the front greeting people. One thing that immediately stood out to me was that the registers are on the left hand side of the store once you enter. There are no registers in the front like a traditional store. There are also associates in green shirts with handheld machines who are able to help with your purchase if you're paying with plastic. I saw some name brands here: DVF, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Furla, Rebecca Minkoff. The usual makeup offerings were there: NYX, some Too Faced products. The shoe section was well kept, not a lot of random shoes everywhere. I ended up buying a pair of shoes, sandals to be exact. I wouldn't return unless I just happen to be in the area - I wasn't WOWED. read more

Unbelievable customer service. I worked for Nordstrom not too long ago and this store is not anywhere up to par with the Nordstrom brand. First Jennifer tells me she cannot look up my account to verify my purchase for the item I wanted to return. She instantly tells me there is no way without my receipt or without my actual Nordstrom Card (which I am still waiting for in the mail). I didn't think this to be true since I had recently worked for Nordstrom and know there is always a way to look something up. I verified with her that there was no way she can call customer service and she said No. Here I stand to the side of the registers to call customer service and verify for myself. Customer service tells me the store associate CAN look up my account by calling. Annoying. So instead of going back to Jennifer, I talk to the store manager, Anais, and told her I had just gotten off phone with customer service and verified that the store can call them to retrieve my purchase info. Anais seemed to be the hero to save this false information I was given. She calls customer service and while I'm on hold repeatedly tells me to save a copy of my receipt and have it emailed. Once was enough but she mentioned it three times. Ok. I get it. After 30 minutes of waiting, she finally gets off the phone then says she forgot to get my Nordstrom card information. WHAT. and that I must get money back on a gift card. I CANNOT MAKE A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT WITH THE GIFT CARD therefore I didn't want a gift card but guess what. She was too lazy to call back so she kept insisting to take a gift card. I can't believe how lazy these associates are. An apology and/or a smile would've made things a little lighter. But no. Not one grin, not one apology for lying because they were too lazy to look up my info or for wasting my time. I have never been to a Nordstrom like this. Today was grand opening day! We arrived at 10:15 and the parking lot was already packed as well as with many angry drivers who are looking for empty spots. Luckily we found a parking spot and were excited to see the new store. The store had a great selection and of course for first day of opening. Everything was neatly organized and presented. They just had a great selection on everything but unfortunately, it was not a good idea to come with kids as I was just able to browse and then leave as the lines to pay were very long. Even though they organized to have a staff member to ring you up in each section of the store. They were easy to spot in their green shirts as well as the long line of ppl. waiting to pay. I'm just going to wait until the hype is over and will check out this store again! Nordstrom Rack changed their return policy with online purchases without telling their customers. Online returns to the retail store are not processed right away at the check-out counter and require a 24-48 hour wait time for them to complete the return process. What it'll look like is this: 1. customer waits in line, sometimes a long one which can be up to 30 minutes or more, goes up to the counter and the employee manually enters into the computer customer's name, email address, phone # and order # into fields that are not even built to accept some of these info. For example, a customer's email address is manually entered into the "Dept Field," the number of items being returned is entered into the "Reason" field, and the order number is entered into the item "Description." This low-tech, snail method of gathering the return info leaves room for human error--e.g. what if the clerk enters the info incorrectly?--and leaves the consumer with the burden of checking the accuracy of the refund amount or if the refund even took place. 2. Consumers' returned products are then placed into a clear plastic bag along with the cashier's printed receipt listing your personal info, and then the plastic bag is secured with a rubber band then thrown into a large bin. The customers are instructed, but only if you ask, to check their credit card or email in 24-48 hours to confirm if their returns were actually processed. This new implementation (I was told this became effective in December) of up to a two-day delay in refunding the online customer at the store level is not listed on the Nordstrom Rack website. Current website's info on "REFUND PROCESSING" states: "Returns to a Nordstrom Rack store will be refunded to the original form of payment or gift card." And, "Mail-in returns with our prepaid return label will be refunded back to the original form of payment within 3-5 business days after we receive your return." The fact that online returns to the retail store will take 24-48 hours to process is not posted online, on the packaging receipts, or at the retail store." When questioned, the explanation given for the change in the refund policy of an online purchase to the outlet store is that "corporate" states it takes too long for the clerks to process everyone's returns. I disagree. It takes significantly longer for a clerk to start the refund process (asking for customer's personal info, manually enters it into the system, print the return receipts, place the items in a bag, place return receipt with customer's personal info in a bag, secure the bag, toss the bag in a bin) than it would actually take to process a refund immediately. Additionally, it wasn't until I spoke to a third person at the store that I found out that this new return policy applies only to online shoppers. It's reprehensible that the change in refund policy for online purchases returned to the store level is not posted anywhere. It's offensive that online shoppers are treated as second-class citizens compared to in-store shoppers whose returns are processed immediately. All refunds should be processed the same way regardless if you are an online or in-store shopper. Plus, if Nordstrom wants to be paid right away for their products, consumers also expect to be refunded right away when the store buys the consumers' products back. Furthermore, I also question the security of my personal information--a receipt listing my personal info thrown into a clear plastic bag secured only with a rubber band does not sound secure--and if the store has ever lost the receipt or the returned products when they fall out of the bag because it wasn't secured properly or the rubber brand breaks, and the customer is not even aware they didn't get a full refund. read more

Went to pick up a couple of shirts and what a shit show! All cash registers were open but somehow it still took nearly 20 minutes to get to the front. Each customer's transaction seemed to take three minutes or longer...seriously aggravating. Once I got to the front, I noticed all the employees wear those earpiece/microphone combos so you can't tell if the person helping you is speaking to you or to someone on the other end of the microphone. I realize they haven't been open for very long but geeez. Get it together guys! My wife says I should go easier on them since it's a new store....I think she should get her own Yelp account. Terrible! The lines are 3 miles long on Saturday evening and employees are scattered and only two working register. Check photo I waited over 1 hour because I was told by mobile associate I could not do an exchange even though mobile workers were not busy and there was only 2 people in line. Had to go to the front and wait an hour in the long line and ended up changing my mind about the 2 handbags I was going to purchase over $500. Good going Nordstrom with your express check out. Nordstrom Rack - Department Stores Near Me - Dublin, California

Visited this store for the first time last week and had a great experience. The young woman that helped us could not have been nicer or more friendly. I wish I would have asked her name. She was an younger African American woman with very long braided hair that she had pulled up. She happened to mention "her son" so I know she's a mom. Hope the store manager reads this and knows who I am speaking of. This young lady should be a supervisor or trainer if she's not already. The store itself is pretty organized for an outlet type location. Even the costume jewelry was pretty well organized which I know has to take a lot of effort and very regular attention to accomplish. Other customers can get a little pushy if they think you've spotted something that they might want, but kind of what you might expect when bargain hunting. Selection was decent. Overall my five stars is truly based on our interaction with the young woman above. When she rang us up, you would have thought we were at a full service Nordstrom and not a discount location. We'll definitely visit again. If I find my receipt, I'll update my review with her name if it's on there. Thanks for the great service. read more

The store is organized and clean with shoes stored in the boxes on the shelves vs. the floor and clothing racks properly identified by size and items were hung in the right place. The shoe area had "clearance" signs displayed but they were misplaced. The shoes between these signs were not marked down. They had a very small section of size 4 and 4.5 shoes but I've become accustomed to this because, really, who has such tiny feet besides me? They had a big selection of men's shoes in large sizes. I didn't see any store associates around so I presume the store must stay organized because the shoppers at this location don't ransack the place. The man checking us out at the cash register was very personable and efficient. The line went quickly even though the store was busy. read more
