I checked in a few weeks ago to purchase some new Non slip work shoes and appreciate Kohls so much for carrying an awesome Sketchers design which includes air cooling memory foam which has helped tremendously on easing the pain on my feet! I love how the design doesn't have shoelaces either which makes sliding into the shoes extra easy and quick. The shoes were priced under $100 which was more affordable than I expected. My go to for my Amazon returns! The gentleman at the Amazon return area is always such a pleasure to deal with. He is always friendly with a smile and very courteous. I came in yesterday for a return, and ended up shopping for a few things my bff needed to save us some time. Found a few dog toys that weren't marked clearly and one of the workers honored the sale even though the toys I wanted wouldn't ring up as the sale price. They checked and realized they did not mark the sale sign specifically to what was on sale.. I appreciate the extra effort they did to give me the discount. Thank you. The store is very clean and organized. Signs are clear and easy to find what you're looking for.. after I ask where to find exactly what I need... lol Everyone here I have interacted with have been friendly and patient. I wish I could leave 0 stars. I came in on 6/6 to purchase a hair mask and redeem my birthday reward when the store's system crashed during checkout. The charge was taken from my account, but management claimed the transaction didn't go through because a receipt couldn't be generated. After waiting through the weekend, the charge was still posted, so I returned to speak with the manager, Dawn. She was dismissive, showed no concern, and offered no solutions. When I asked if it was possible their system charged me without recording the transaction, she simply said "possibly" and shrugged. I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer whose money had been taken. Only after my boyfriend pushed for answers did Dawn mention that Loss Prevention might be able to help and that someone named Andrew would call. As a manager, Dawn showed a complete lack of accountability, customer service, and professionalism. If this is how management handles customer issues, it's no wonder this location has such poor reviews. read more

Can Kohls hire more employees and stop running the only 2 employees that work there at a time ragged I feel so bad because they try so hard and do their best but my goodness this store is way too big to have 1 cashier and 1 person on the floor. And I have NEVER seen a manager literally anywhere. Stop trying to make everything "DIY" -- checkout, pickups, etc. -- and start hiring more employees. Ok guys so it was my 2nd day (IN A ROW) coming in here trying to complete my dam Amazon returns. Alright so it's like 952ish PM mind you and here my little self comes carrying a bag full of shit for Amazon returns and Kohls returns. I trek it all the way to the back and William comes to help me. So again it's late as hell and at this point...I get it they watching the clock and tapping toes "ret-ta-go" and get off. I'm up there talking bout..."hey my bad for all the returns but I like my returns to go as seamless as possible so I print the QR codes". Poor William! He hasn't rolled his eyes or given me an attitude. The nicest guy annnd my so called printed out QR codes was a hot mess, printing duplicates and wrong stores (my bad .. I'm getting old). STILL my bff William helped me happily and I didn't feel so nervous. As soon as we're done I hear, KOHLS IS NOW CLOSED! Gotdamit!!! Here I go up the front with more than a few returns and cashier with a JESUS name chain was so happy, patient, and not bothered at all. I'm all nervous and here I go with several returns not to mention differnt transactions so that also means differnt receipts . Nope ole "Jesus" was STILL nice. Nobody thought I was crazy or anything. understating that it's Black Friday and the stores are extremely busy. I'm extremely dissatisfied and disappointed at the fact that we wasted an hour if not more waiting on items that were not even in stock. I believe Raquel was the cashier who helped us, she was also training another employee. But train to what exactly? to waste customers time. I purchased, a stroller, crib and mattress. yet the only thing they had was the matters.. keep in mind this was after the fact that she confirmed with me that they DID have the crib in stock and never once's mentioned that they were out of the strollers. This has always been my go to store, and now I'm not even sure I wish to waste my time or my money here anymore. This Kohl's location is kinda hidden in plain sight for budget-friendly apparel and home goods. Their clearance section always has some amazing finds, you just have to be in the mood to do a little digging. Plus, their rewards program is great, giving you points for every purchase that you can redeem for discounts and coupons. I always say with these bigger department stores, you always want to find the one that is least visited because it has a lot of items, and I think this one is one of those gems. read more

I don't much shop at Kohl's, but use them for Amazon drop-off. They seem very clean, organized, and well-stocked. I do walk around and look for some great deals when they have their 70+% sales. The plaza host Tesla supercharges, Vons, UPS, Nails Salon, AAA, Home Depot, Kohl's, Target, Best Buy, Movie Theater, Several Restaurants, Banks, and loads of other things. Fantastic spot to spend an evening. Word of caution. Since its right off a major interstate freeway, and with so much to do, you may come across bad actors looking for trouble or up to no good. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. read more

Lousy customer service on 17 March 2021 at 10:20 AM! We were in line at the cashier's and a customer purposely cut in front of us. The cashier allowed it. When I then spoke and said, "excuse me, but we were next" - we got sidelined by the cashier who ignored our concerns. I will never shop here again and I will make sure I share my shopping experience widely. What makes matters worse is that the floor manager saw what was happening and completely ignored the situation. The sad fact is, what would it have cost them to apologize for the situation and just admit that they were wrong. But no, just ignore it. Looking at the other reviews posted, this is not an isolated incident. We came here to get my fiancé a few pairs of shorts. We found some for him to try on and he did so. The dressing room was a bit messy and unattended. I'm not sure if that's how Kohl's works, but just stating what I saw. The store itself seemed to be organized for the most part with random items misplaced throughout the store but I feel that's the norm nowadays for bigger stores. Prices for everything were very reasonable. I'd rather pay a bit more here for a little bit better quality rather than pay less at Target for cheaper quality. I noticed the RayBans and Oakley sunglasses are all 20% off right now too. The checkout lines were small and went by quickly. The cashier was friendly but pushed a little too much on the Kohl's credit. We shouldn't have to say "no thank you" 3 times before you stop. I completely understand you have to meet your quota, but you should get the hint after the first spark of us being uninterested. Kohl's will still be a better option for clothing compared to other local stores, because I forever believe you pay for the quality you receive. read more

I go because for me my order is walk in this little self pickup area and I'm wondering why my number spot isn't there turns out because it's more expensive they have it in the back, that's fine I'd be mad if someone saw my gift and stole it. So I wait in line and how it went 1 woman doing returns and having to be slow is ridiculous, then another woman comes behind the counter and ridiculous that 2 have to assist one woman with the issues she had, you don't need 2 helping 1 person with line growing, even one of the ladies sounded like she didn't want to do a job she applied for, then she walks behind to talk to a coworker had the lady not came back maybe she'd sit there lazily all day. So finally she sees the lines expanded and helps me and says it's in the area I was in I told her no and she asked name it's under and finally realizes why it's behind with them. I wouldn't waste standing in a line if it was there, seemed like she doubted me at first but finally I got my item I should've even when app asked after I finished saying got my order put a thumbs down but I figure give them this awful/honest rating so people know that come here and you may have the slowest workers who are acting like they rather be elsewhere and come off as they doubt you're right when I checked that area over and over beforehand. i am (88) and need walking assiance at times. i puchased a pair of (mens) slippers. my walking abilities are limited. the store was located near (gerald ford & monterey im palm desert ca. i parked near the main front enterance because of my limited walking abilites. i asked a checkout clerk as to where i could find these sllippers that i wanted to purchase. sfe answered back that they were against the left side wall of the building. she pointed to the extreme left wall of the building. that is a long way from where i was standing. it took me several rest stops to get their . no benches or chairs to rest at any where. but i managed to find what i was looking for. now was for the long trip back to the cash register. on the way back i passed another set of doors that lead to the parking lot but no checkout stands. (why) ? so i contiued on to the only check out stands in front middle of the building. ithe gentleman who checked me out was very helpful an concerned about my welfare. his name is (william). he is a great asset to your store. thank him again for me. some of my suggestions for this your store are. 1, place chairs or benches for rest stops. the average at this location is (65) years of age. it is a retirement community. 2. place signs outside of the bulding (men's department) by the doors that lead to the men's department and vice versa. 3. do not make customers walk all the way to the back end of the to do a return. 4. invest in one rental battery scooter . it is for that one customer who reall needs one. i may be a bit old but i am still a customer of your store. jack v. uhern (palm desert ca.) 1/20/2024. about noon time. read more

Was shopping in the men's section on 8/16 at approximately 5:30 pm. Was looking at a plaid jacket that was black and white. As I was interested in the item, I began inspecting the item when a person snatched it from me while I was holding the item. Initially I thought nothing of it until I realized it was the last item in that size and when I turned around I realized IT WAS A KOHLS WORKER , who was working the front 1st register on the west side of the store within the Men's section, that literally SNATCHED IT from me WHILE SHE WAS CLOCKED IN AND WORKING. It's not like I was dying to purchase the item but how rude can an individual be to do that, let alone WHILE WORKING??? When she returned back to her register I realized that she stored the item so she could later purchase it for herself. If you are management and reading this, AT LEAST tell your workers to shop either when they are off the clock or at a minimum while they are on their lunch break with nothing showing that you work at the establishment. One of the worst shopping experiences of my life.. not only is this store a sloppy mess. You can't find any help in their departments.. I found some Nike beach walkers marked $20.99 but at the register they were ringing up $35.00 so the cashier called Michael to assist.. he said the black ones were a different price.. well then it should be marked.. not with the 5 different colors.. so then they called Hector who did offer to sell them for $20.00 but by that time I was over it.. 20 min later with a crying kid.. they employees were nice.. but who ever is in charge of that place needs to clean and organize.. read more

Not comparable to most of the kohl's I've been to. I asked about how to order online at one of the kiosks and the girl said it's somewhere in the corner. I also asked another employee I wanted to look up an item online as the only one in the store was slightly ripped and she said it's on clearance and there are no others. Only reason I asked was because I saw the item just a few days prior to and it was not on clearance so I was certain there must be more online since it was just listed on clearance. I looked online when I got home and it was available IN EVERY SIZE. My last issue with this kohl's is that i was 3 dollars away from kohl's cash, I did not noticed until after I had checked out and the employee said I could not make any changes anymore. Unfortunately I shop at kohl's at lot and this is the closest one to me. These people have a leader who gives terrible customer service. The manager in charge today Annette, was rude and completely snotty. She soke to us like we didn't know anything and wouldn't listen to a word we had to say. I don't recommend shopping or doing returns at this store, as the employees are not incentivized enough to care about their customers. Also, when I called to get her name the associate who answered the phone blatantly didn't answer my question. I asked the manager's name and she kept saying she would transfer me. I told her 3 times i didn't want to be transferred, I just wanted her name and 3 times she said she would transfer me. Literally the most annoying and inefficient employees I have ever come across. My fiance and I both have credit cards with kohls, we shop here all the time for ourselves and family members. I received an email stating you can receive 5, 10, or 15 extrabucks with any purchase. I called this location after my kohls ran out of the slips. A girl in customer service said they had a few left in customer service and it was 1 slip PER CUSTOMER. When we arrived I went to customer service with a small purchase before shopping to insure the slips were still available and when I asked an African American girl if they had slips left she acted as if she were offended I was asking looking under her counter she said she "guessed she still had some" I told her I had just called and someone said they still had some, then a blonde Caucasian girl with glasses said I had spoken with her. She again said it was 1 per person, I then wanted to clarify by saying 1 per person and not 1 per HOUSEHOLD correct? They made it very clear it was 1 per person. So my fiance then made his own small purchase after me to receive his own slip. The blonde girl then told my fiance he could not be doing that and that she would let it go this time. Making him very uncomfortable to the point he just wanted to leave and not shop. As if he was doing something wrong. We are 2 different people with 2 incomes and 2 credit cards. So for them to treat us in such a manner after I clarified with them that it was 1 per person is unprofessional and insulting. The staff at customer service is young and rude and need to be retrained escpecially with kohls always having promotions and coupons. The staff should not make the customer feel uncomfortable during check out if they choose to take advantage of such promotions. read more

This location really needs training on what customer service means. I stopped by this location (not my usual spot) to pick up an online item today. While in line at the customer service desk there were about 5 customers ahead of me and the gal at the desk had to call for help 2x till someone finally assisted. Meanwhile my 2 year old daughter was getting fussy and because of the wait my daughter had found a toy and i picked up a summer dress on a nearby rack. I finally got to the desk and was assisted.. I asked if I could purchase the two items i had picked up while in line.. I was told "No, because we are busy." I responded "it's only 2 items, do I really have to get back in line in front? I have a fussy 2 year old." She said. "Yes." That doesn't make sense.. would understand if I had a cart full.. but 2 items??? Ridiculous. I had to wait in a 2nd line up front and my transaction took less than a minute. Let's just say I won't be back again to this location. Simply said..that's not customer service. It's the little things that keeps a customer coming back and they missed the mark. read more

When I just threw away my bullet. I had it for about 10 years worked great! Also, my blender is no Bueno. I figured I'll just buy the ninja. I had a 20% off code. No lines, customer service on point! Happy about my purchase. Get in my car, my car won't start. My battery was dead. Called AAA, they said they would be there in an hour. Okay, no problem. This super nice man. Walked up to my car said he would give me a jump. At 1st I declined because AAA was on their way. He goes into Kohls. I'm waiting AAA calls me and said I would have to wait another hour. The super nice Man was walking out. So I asked if he could please jump my car. No hesitation. He did. It's people like this man who makes this world a better place. He gets on his phone, calls another guy and says "Some guy is looking for work boots" SOME GUY???!!! How about a customer, how about a guest, how about a local guy trying to spend his money in our store that drove 10 mins to get here, parked his car and walked around for 10 mins looking for a simple item. Absolute terrible customer service from upper management. My elderly mother wanted to return a necklace she received for her birthday. The necklace was too tight on her neck, unfortunately. The manager told us we'd have to return the necklace at customer service. We asked if we could exchange it for something else so we could keep our $10 Kohl's cash. She said no, you'd have to get the same necklace, which wouldn't work for her considering it didn't fit. This manager was very unfriendly at our first encounter. We did what we were told and returned the necklace at the customer service desk. She found a ring her size and decided to purchase that instead. We had a few other jewelry items we were purchasing alongside the ring. Same manager helped us out at checkout. She asked me if I wanted to open a Kohls card, which is pretty standard to hear every time I'm checking out. I said no thank you but she proceeded to tell me that I won't be able to get other discounts without it and I'd need it for better discounts for Christmas. I made it clear I wasn't interested 4 separate times. I'm not sure why I feel like I'm being forced to open a kohls card, I'm not interested and I've stated that repeatedly. Now we're finalizing the transaction and I handed her the $10 kohls cash I received during my previous purchase (which was dated 10-30-22) the necklace I returned was on that same transaction from the day prior, which is when I received the Kohls cash. She told me we couldn't use it towards our transaction because we returned the other necklace. Very confusing, considering she was the one that told us to return it. We were very specific up front when we first spoke with her about being able to keep the discounted coupon. We decided to not purchase all of the items we planned to purchase. She was extremely rude, unprofessional and terrible at thoroughly communicating the return process. We should have been able to use the kohls cash, I purchased many items to receive that coupon. My entire family has been shopping at Kohl's for several years. We should have been treated better than this. I will no longer be spending anymore of my money here. read more

This Kohls is awful. We have been to this place before and it was not that bad. However the last visit was terrible. The people that work here do not value their customers and make sure you know it. All of then employees appear to be 20 or so and are more interested in Twitter and FB than actually working. I'll just go to Nordstrom next time.
