The manager at this store is quite literally one of the worst human beings I have ever come across in my life. Rude, power-tripping, belittling, and clearly does not care if she is so genuinely mean that she runs customers out the door. I cannot believe such an awful and inconsiderate human has a position of authority at this store. I have been a loyal customer of the Rack for as many years as I can remember and will never be setting foot in one again. This manager blamed all of her inadequacies on "policy" and claimed she had no power to help with any issues in the store even though that is her entire job. Brandon and Samantha and the older gentlemen with glasses on at night and cool bracelet for his dog were super helpful. The older gentlemen was great with helping with watches. I had just complained about how I hate physical retail locations vs. Amazon Prime or E Commerce route... And then there was a little line but I'm impatient .... Enter Brandon and Samantha who swooped in with an entire posse of cashiers handling 2x customers ea , communicating and executing the checkout process with surgical like precision which was nothing short of exhilarating . As Brandon pointed out the new rewards program they just rolled out I was instantly smitten with envious desire to enroll immediately and hand over my credit card to gladly pay for said services . This is a great Nordstrom rack! Very new and clean with great employees who keep the store looking nice. It almost feels like a Nordstrom. It is so satisfying going to Nordstrom at Fashion Square and falling in love with a blouse but not the price tag, and then coming to this Nordstrom Rack and finding the exact same thing for 30-50% off. This is also a very convenient location, next to a total wine and a Target, so I can hit all my favorite places without driving too far. Overall, this is the best Nordstrom Rack I've ever been to! read more

Went in with my wife today. Was set to purchase a pair of shoes. Walked up to the counter and asked them to hold them for me as my wife was off in another part of the store. Was told they don't "hold items". I told the clerk I am buying them today before I left the store. She asked if I wanted a shopping cart. Said no thanks, found my wife in about two minutes - with several items to buy- and told her nothing will be purchased from here. As we approached the exit, I told a group of four employees who were socializing behind the counter (including the employee who felt it was not possible to hold my shoes) that I have never been in a store that wouldn't hold my purchase for me as I finished shopping.She laughed and said have a nice day. Absolutely ridiculous. While I have shopped extensively at the Rack as well as Nordstroms across the country, They will not get another purchase from me again. Fucking morons. read more

The Rack is a good concept and this location is among the best. Good prices and great selection. As a big footed tall person, it's not always easy finding size 14 shoes- but here it's not a problem at all. From sneakers to Cole haan dress shoes- you can find it all here. They also have great clothing and accessories, including watches, socks, and hats. Well done Rack. read more

In terms of other Nordstrom Rack stores in the Phoenix area, there are pros and cons to the Tempe Store compared to the North Scottsdale Road store. The Tempe store is A LOT cleaner - the layout and racks are organized, and it is a lot easier to find things. They also have plus sizes for women which is a nice touch. However, the clothing here tends to be more casual - likely to appeal to the ASU crowd - there are fewer selections for designer clothing or work wear. Both stores are worth a visit, it really depends on what you're looking for. read more

After a rough day I decided to clear my mind with a little retail therapy. Upon checking out, I had not seen the lady who was looking at other items in line. As I stepped up to the cashier that called me over, this lady screamed at me stating it was her turn. I apologized and moved. For some reason she continued to talk back to me and give me dirty looks. Given my already upset state, I began to hold back tears thinking about how messed up our society is. Why are people mean just to be mean? The next cashier called me over, and although I did not catch her name, I will remember her forever. She kindly tapped on the plexiglass as I was exiting and said "Hey, you're going to be okay, don't worry". So, with that said, thank you Nordstrom for hiring the kindest employees. I hope that she sees this and understands how much her small gesture meant to me. Anyone else that sees this, just be a nice human. read more

The Nordstrom Rack does seem to be smaller than regular rack. I come here for mainly shoes and home accessories. It looks like they have a large selection of women clothing but it seems to be all the same stuff. read more

Sometimes I take the trip to go to this NR because it is never crowded. I really dislike that the one in Scottsdale always has crazy lines and it feels so congested with racks and racks of clothes you cannot look through. This one is much more peaceful and makes shopping a more pleasant experience. read more

Good selection of clothes & shoes BUT, I will say... the MANAGER is extremely RUDE. Found 6 of the same shoes in different sizes all of them having prices from 50.00, 19.99 and 14.00.... for a pair of slides.. She said they were priced wrong & still had me pay the highest price when they were all clearly priced wrong.. even had me go and dig through all of the shoes to find sizes priced the same.. Like what?? (what ever happened to the customer is always right, and having me go and dig through your inventory to get what im paying for?) read more

This store has great staff and wonderful merchandise. Everything is well sorted and displayed ( not a mess ) . The female cashier with dark long hair who returned my Hautelook orders were very patient and sweet. The male cashier with the tattoos was engaging and funny! They both liked talking about clothes , which was nice. The blond male dressing room attendant was also super friendly and not grumpy that I gave him back items I was not purchasing. ( normally I cringe when dealing with unhappy dressing room staff, so thank you!) But don't worry we purchased a bunch of great things! The only thing that threw me off was were the store placed the check out line. Normally the check out lines are in the front of the store . Look to your far right against the wall ! Please stop asking me 6 times if I want a Nordstrom credit or debit card, every single time I come here. An appropriate thing to say is "Do you have a Nordstrom card? Are you interested in a Nordstrom card?" If I say no twice, end it there. It really makes me want to not shop here. read more

A smaller nordstrom rack.. maybe the smallest ive been to. But as always has a lot of items to look for and since there is a lot of designer not the epic sales you hope.. but there are always some staple pieces you cant live without. read more

This is a great Nordstrom Rack! Large and nice, clean with friendly staff. They have a great selection of bras and intimates--super expensive, high quality brands for ~fantastic~ prices. They had so much cute underwear, however I was told I couldn't try any on even with my own underwear on. This is great for hygiene, however I never buy anything without trying it on, so after 20 minutes of collecting cute stuff then being told I couldn't try it I ended up just giving it all back. A little disappointing, but understandable. Good experience and deals though! read more

Management and customer service is horrible at this location. I had a pricing issue and in person and over the phone, the situation was handled very poorly. The manager reeked of cigarette smoke. I have no problem with smokers but in a professional environment there are ways to mask the smell as most clients do not like it. I have never experienced something like this at a Nordstroms store. Compare to the rest of the nordy rack stores, this one by far has no good items. Couldn't find anything good here.

Decent but rather limited selection, especially for men. For example if you browse through men's shirts you'll find the same 3-4 brands over and over again. Not a lot of variety but it's fine for basics. They will take your measurements and do custom tailoring there, which is nice. My 1 big issue is with Nordstrom itself, or rather it's policy to require (wait for it) your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER to get their Nordstrom card. Not the credit card, just the membership card. Yes, your SSN. This is insanely irresponsible in particular in light of all these high profile data breaches. I do not trust a store with my SSN, sorry. They offer you discounts to open up that membership account but it's not worth giving them your social security number for it. read more

This place is overcrowded with clothing which is severely disorganized, and everything is way overpriced. I thought it was supposed to be a lower-priced Nordstrom that real people afford, but I still find jeans that cost $200 and shoes that cost $100. It's just too far outside my budget, and their products aren't that spectacular. read more

Great experience! I was crunched for time and needed to quickly pick out a belt and tie to match a suit I have at home. I spent a minute or two wandering around alone in the men's section until a sales associate Noah offered to help me out. He was great. He listened to what I needed, took into account my personal style and I was on my way home in 5 minutes with exactly what I needed. read more
