It's been ages since I've stepped into Famous Footwear. I needed some new shoes for my wide-foot son. Getting help can be a challenge. When I did ask for help, the selection wasn't so great but I was able to find something in the youth area. There was only one person at the store that I know of. The layout of the store was logical - women's, kids, men's with clearance aisles clearly marked. They have lots of different brands of shoes - Nike, adidas, Skechers, new balance, etc. We were able to find a pair for about $50. Sure beats buying/returning shoes from Amazon because you can't try them on. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I am left utterly petrified with my experience at this location. The ladies at the cash register were insanely unhelpful and rude. One was a pushing 60 white woman wearing wired rectangular glasses with mid length brown hair with hints of gray. She had so much attitude including to the people in front of me, especially those who couldn't speak English. I overheard her talking rudely about the customers before me to her coworker, and they both laughed. Not only did she hurt me with words, but physically. She was very aggressive and has no manners as she bumped right into me without saying excuse me, or sorry. The service is poor, the staff was unfriendly, the selection of shoes were limited, and I will be making the commute to a further location specifically to not run into these people again. 0/10 experience. read more

I went to exchange some shoes I ordered online. The lady working the floor there today was really helpful. She greeted us and found the shoes we were looking for in a nearby store (Woodinville) immediately. She even called the store to have the shoes on hold for me so they are available right away when I got there. Great employee and nice customer service! Keep going Famous Footwear! read more

Not sure why they have such a bad rating. Carmen was a big help. The entire experience here was a positive one. I feel she was up front, answered all my questions. I went in today to look for work shoes and ended up getting a couple pairs of tennis shoes. The manager was unnecessarily rude when I asked if they had another size available, and promptly replied with "whatever is in the store is what I have....but I can check online" so she checks and says they have them in an 11. I asked if they were available in a 10.5 and she said they don't do half sizes. (WHICH IS WRONG. I fact-checked adidas and they do in fact make half sizes for all sizes. And I already knew Vans does because I've ordered many times from them. SOOOO WTF) When I expressed my confusion on that because I saw plenty of half sizes on the shelf she said they don't do them in this style. When I clarified again and said they DID have them in half sizes of this exact style she said they don't have them online. And then rudely gave me a lesson on how a lot of brands don't even MAKE half sizes when you get up to a bigger size...past 10. All of this could have been avoided had she just answered my question clearly the first time and explaining like a good manager would, instead of making me feel dumb for not knowing something about their company that I would have no way of knowing. You can count on me going to a completely different company in the future. Tried to return a pair of boots because they were too soft on the outside to wear with snowshoes and they would only give me store credit because the bottoms were worn. Well, yeah, I tried them on with my snowshoes, walked around the block and realized they were a no-go. I'll stick to REI or another sporting goods store from now on that is more understanding of the wear that occurs when I try boots out in outdoor conditions. read more

I was on vacation and stopped in because my shoes had blown out towards the tip of the shoe. Ygraine was extremely helpful finding a replacement pair in a timely manner. And the best thing was. CLEARANCE!! Her attitude towards customers is astonishing and her customer service was the best i have ever recieved when out of town if not in any retail store. If you find yourself hiking the Coal Creek Trail, ruining your suede Pumas because you aren't visiting Seattle for hiking (I'm only here for the ladies and the drinks, in the famous words of Mr Trey Songz) this is the perfect place to replace them with sick new Adidas kicks. The cute platinum haired (no not platinum like Madonna, platinum like Lil Wayne's teef) girl working here will be kind enough not to point out you are covered in disgusting red mountain dust from foot to butt...or that you are too old to be wearing sick Adidas kicks. I went here the other day with my mom and had easily the best shoe shopping experience of my life. The two employees there, Angel and Ygraine, were incredibly helpful and nice, far above and beyond what I would have ever have expected. I was there for at least 2 hours and I didn't see a single person walk in without being greeted and offered help immediately. Ygraine brought out more shoes than I could wrap my head around and even let me browse the online catalog for home delivery to find the exact right shoe for me. I specifically wanted to buy men's shoes, but since I'm trans I have fairly small feet and wear a size 6, lower than most men's sizes start. They helped me find a shoe that fit and whose style I liked even though it took a pretty long time. I spoke with Angel a lot, and she clearly has a lot of experience with trans individuals. At one point the topic of trans healthcare came up. I said something about having trouble getting my insurance to fill my testosterone prescription and she actually filled me in on a lot of information I really needed regarding trans-friendly insurance providers and wrote it all down for me. I left with two new pairs of shoes and one in the mail, feeling not just confident about how I looked but also better equipped to take steps in my transition. As far as LGBTQ-friendly businesses go I've never had a better experience. read more

Greeted promptly upon arrival at the store. Pretty good variety of accessories and shoes. Store is divided into three parts: Men, woman and kids. A clearance racket is available on each side. Prices are above other stores. Very convenient location next to other stores in the mall. if you want shoes and shoe accessories then this is the place! read more

This store is not for those lacking in height! I'm about 5'2'' and I could barely see the shoes on display, the shelves were too tall. As I was walking through, I kept having to pick up each shoe to actually see what it looked like lol! After awhile, it wasn't worth the effort! read more

Where do I even begin. I went in looking for a new pair of shoes, not because I NEEDED them, just decided I wanted them. So I went in to waste a little bit of time and look at a little bit of everything. The manager, Caroline, was extremely rude and high pressure. I mean, I was flabbergasted by her terrible attitude. She seems to think it's acceptable to speak to customers as if they're dumb or below her. On top of the snotty tone, she decided to follow me almost every square inch of the store, repeatedly asking what kind of shoe I was looking for. When I finally sat down on a bench at the end of an aisle to try on shoes, she adamantly told me I had to sit on the bench in the center of the store. Uh, what? Why have a bench there if customers can't use it? After asking for contact information for a supervisor or a corporate number, I was told they don't have this information, her district manager can reach her but she can't reach her district manager. Complete bull. At that point I called it quits, went to DSW and happily found a couple pairs of shoes. I won't be back to this Famous Footwear, ever. read more
