    Some fancy dresses

Nordstrom Rack is on 2 floors with an escalator. They have a variety with everything from fancy dresses to t shirts. There is a wide variety of shoes marked by sizes. They have men's and women's clothes plus home goods and more. It's worth a look.

Anama is the best. I came in looking for a blazer and shirt for a wedding last minute. She saw me browsing and in a very friendly manner asked if she could help. She went out of her way to offer her advice and search the racks for shirts and blazers. Very human experience. The tailoring she did was great and I got lots of compliments at the wedding! Ask for Anama (I may be misspelling her name!) she is sweet - a real professional

It has two stories and a good variety of women, men, and house products from well known brands. The store was a little confusing. They had good sales. They had a security guy at the entrance.

Look what Saint Rihanna has blessed us with!! These. Are. MINE!

I didn't even know this was here! Stumbling upon the store was like finding a buried treasure. I just wish I had more time to browse. One of the things that I love about Nordstrom Rack is they have extensive collection of shoes beyond size 10. It's almost impossible for me to find cute shoes in regular stores, but I'm never disappointed when I come here. My visit to the store was no exception. I need new pumps for work and was able to find plenty of options to choose from. I also stumbled upon an absolutely gorgeous pair of boots from Rihanna's new 'Fenty' line I just had to bring home with me. I didn't realize how fortuitous my find was until the cashier told me that I was paying $99 for a $600 pair of boots. Totally blew my mind. My best friend was with me and he also needed a pair of new shoes. There was a wide and diverse selection of quality shoes for him to choose from: Everything from Johnston & Murphy to Adidas. He easily found a brand new pair of shoes that he absolutely loved, and for a really great price. Recently bought a pair of cranberry colored velvet pumps from another store, and I was shocked to find that this store had a pair of velvet gloves that match them perfectly. And for 10 bucks. Ten bucks?! Whaaaaat?! It really is a good thing that we were short on time because I could have spent hours (and potentially thousands of dollars) in that store. Now that I know it's here I'll definitely be back. I'm so glad that there's now a Nordstrom Rack not too far from me.

    Men's shoes.

Small Nordstrom Rack with OK selection. Clean and organized store. Random hours: Closed at 3 on a Sunday with no communication.

The manager was extremely rude and claimed my completely brand new shoes were "worn" and refused to take them back.

The staff is friendly, the location is convenient and the selections are much more impressive than their next door competition - Off the Avenue.

Whew weeee!! This…read morelocation was something to talk about. I have been dying to get in this place for years but always on a tight schedule to get elsewhere. This was a Lion and Tigers and Bears OH MY situation! It's quite crowded in here. Not cluttered but crowded. They have soooo much stuff and it's all in order. This place could be 2-3 floors easy!! I saw all of my fav brands at great prices. They have a huge selection of high-end wear for a great price. They have a huge selection of summer, spring and winter wear. The cosmetics and body care... chef's kiss!! They have everything in every color/ scent/ size!! Cool accessories, luggage galore, etc. I did not take a gander at the shoes as I had a show nearby to attend. I bought 2 gorge blouses and a short sleeve loose fitting denim blue top. I will revisit very soon for some more shopping greatness.

Lots of great "stuff" and finds....if you have the patience to look around and dig for it…read more This Nordstrom Rack is loaded with brand name products, designer clothing, jewelry, household goods and all at decent prices. The only gripe I have specifically with this location.....is that it is waaayyy too cluttered-- overstocked with just stuff everywhere! And, let's talk about organization to make things easy to find....forget it. It sort of reminds me of Filene's Basement (on Connecticut Ave) from back in the day or a " sub high-end" Thrift store. If you park on the street nearby this store, you better load up your parking meter to the max.... Because you're going to need the time to roam around this place. Note: There is no parking lot or garage..... so you don't want your parking meter to expire because we all know parking tickets in DC is like paying rent or the amount of a one night hotel stay. lol Other than this, not a bad shopping experience here. There's something for everyone when it comes to looking for bargain clothing that's from designer labels and semi on trend. One plus I will say about this Nordstrom Rack location, is that they carry a large selection of men's business and casual clothing. This location carries tons of business suits, dress shirts, ties and business casual slacks-pants. I think the reason for this is because this location is centrally located in the downtown DC area and business district that is primarily surrounded by law offices, lobby firms, consulting firms and federal government agencies. You often don't find this at a lot of Nordstrom Rack and bargain clothing, places like Marshall's/TJMaxx around the DMV. There are also tons of men's athletic shoes, casual sneakers, great running shoes and dress shoes. In all, you can't go wrong shopping here. Although, the Pentagon City location is more my speed. This location is not all bad. Lots of good finds and decent customer service. Just have a little patience and time to roam around this treasure trove!

How to lose a customer of 15-20 years…read more For almost 20 years, Fleet Feet, both in DC and more recently in Asheville, North Carolina, has been where I shop for sneakers twice a year. To save on wear, I buy 2-3 pairs at a time (costing about $400-600 a visit depending on number, socks and arch supports, etc.) and rotate wearing them throughout the week. Today I brought this pair of Brooks back to DC to ask what could be done. I've probably worn them at most 15 days since buying them in mid-last month; the soles are delaminating. An annoyingly passive sales clerk began dancing around the question offering nothing. I eventually abbreviated his babble about normal wear and tear by observing that it doesn't sound like the store can do anything as just over 30 days have passed since the purchase of several pairs. No exchange, no assistance with the manufacturer, no suggestions for repair? I observed that this doesn't seem like normal wear and that its disappointing to see how quickly these expensive shoes are coming apart and how little can be done. His only response was a dismissive "Have a nice day" delivered in a mocking tone. I turned and left the store quietly for the last time in my life without punching him and without responding. some suggestions for better customer service: When your store has a no refund or exchange strict policy, even in the face of defective goods, you should at least provide your customer with contact information to reach out to the manufacturer. If you work in a shoe store, it might be good to be aware of shoe repair places, or glues that might be tried, or to confirm that there are really no glue solutions that could be tried. In other words, know your products and offer some modicum of assistance, even if it's not likely to answer the customer's immediate request. Don't be snide when you are denying service to someone who has been a regular customer and who has clearly brought in a shoe that is not behaving as it should. Not sure where I'll send my $1200/year in purchases now. But I will find a place to remove that revenue from Fleet Feet, and I will let people know of my experience there.

I think what happens is that I mindlessly walk through here as I use it as a passageway. I need to start paying attention to what is in here and keep note of it. Basically this is a mall. Like every mall just about everywhere, they are without some businesses. But, I will say this about the DMV area, even with some shops being empty, the malls still know how to draw people in. Even if it is just for the food options. This place has a ton of food options and some of the places in here are the only place in DC to find them, or at least a place where it is fairly easy to get to in order to visit the business. They got the run of the chains you would see in almost any food court. Charleys, Five Guys, Jamba Juice, Moe's, Panda Express, Starbucks, Subway, etc. But there are a lot of mom and pop stands mixed in. You can definitely find something for your lunch or a quick snack. This is one of the only places I have seen a Church's Chicken in the city. It can be a maze walking through here, especially if you arrive via Metro. But like I said, it is a great passageway to get yourself to areas without having to be outside. With the Spy Museum on the one end it's a great place to spend a day in the city. The Wharf not too far either. There are a few shops throughout as well. Mostly open during daylight hours if you need to grab a thing or two. Everything from a post office to a convenience type store. If you are lucky enough to work nearby, I am sure this is busy around the lunchtime hour.

If you're staying at the Hilton, there's a direct connection to it from the hotel. So this place is helpful because it has several fast food options. Nothing to rave about, but when you're traveling access to quick, fast food is important. Many food places either seemed always closed when I went a few times or open at inconsistent times. The place also never seems busy. Kinda ghost town-ish. Panda Express seemed to be the main attraction here. All together tho, it was clean. I think the space has potential to be a more useful shopping space for people.
