We were looking to get out of the house so we were one of the few dining in. Service is fast. We started with edamame and carb rangoon. Both were a great to start our meal without filling us up too much. For my meal, I ordered the steak bento box which also came with soup and salad to start. I was only a few sips into my soup when the rest of my meal arrived. It was a very decent portion of food, most of which I ended up taking home as leftovers. I love bento boxes though because I get a little taste of everything. The goyza was light and crispy. The California roll was simple and added more variety to the meal. Service was great. Restaurant is clean. The roll selection is very "Americanized" so it's not an"authentic" sushi spot. Example, the menu has 17 Rolls, 7 have cream cheese, 7 have spicy mayo, and 8 are tempura or deep fried component. In other words, any freshness the fish has is removed through deep frying, mayo goo, and paired with cream cheese for those looking to gain weight. These sushi spots are the Pepe's equivalent of Mexican food. No authenticity but not as bad as Taco Bell. It's just over-priced average food. Also, there's only one saki option and it's not worth the price of admission. The place does offer Sashimi and Nigir,i 2pc options ranging from 4-6$. We walked in without a reservation, and although there was a 35-minute wait, they seated us right away, which we didn't mind. After about 10 minutes, the staff came to our table to take drink orders and check if we were ready to order. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The miso soup was delicious, and we tried the Salmon Teriyaki and the California Box, which included California Maki and 9 pieces of Nigiri. Today was my first visit to Nori. I decided to order takeout, but since I was unfamiliar with the menu, I went in to order. The host took his time and was very nice explaining all the differences in the sections of the menu. He described all the dishes I asked about. I was sad to see Wangs go since that was our favorite local sushi spot, but we are so glad this replacement came! We ordered takeout and the process was a bit of a disaster, but the sushi was outstanding. When my husband arrived to pick up our order, he said it was chaos and it took an additional almost 45 mins for our order to be ready (about 90 mins total). In addition, no one was available for him to even ask about the order for about half of the time he was waiting. It seemed like an off night, so we won't hold that against them as they're new, but they should work on their customer service. He said the new restaurant looked nice and fresh. My sister and I came here yesterday night for dinner. When we arrived the waitress greeted us right away. The decor was nice, modern and clean. The restaurant had maybe 2-3 other tables filled. There were many good options to choose from. We ordered the pork ramen, Aurora roll, steak & shrimp hibachi (includes soup and salad). The ramen was okay and had a similar taste to instant ramen. The sushi roll was really good! I wasn't a fan of the soup and salad. The soup tasted like warm soy sauce water. I wish they served miso instead. The dressing for the salad was tangy and had ginger. I'm not a ginger fan but others may be. The entree was amazing! The rice was steaming. The only downfall is the steak was cold which made me think it was sitting for a while. Other than that, everything complimented well. Towards the end of our meal, the restaurant was a full house! People were waiting to be seated and there were no empty tables. There were only two servers so we ended up waiting a long time for the bill. Due to recent opening, I will give them some grace for the wait time. I would give them a try again and hopefully service will be better! Tip: If you're going in Winter, try to sit away from the door! Nori Sushi & Grill is a new sushi restaurant that recently opened in the space previously occupied by long-time local favorite Wang's Garden. My wife and I decided to check them out on a Saturday evening. We arrived in the early dining hours and were quickly seated. They weren't that busy yet but by the time we finished almost every table was full. The layout of the restaurant is basically the same as Wang's Garden but it has been updated to have more of a Japanese feel. They have a fun, fake Cherry Tree in one corner. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. We decided to order takoyaki to start. The order came out quickly, the octopus was flavorful but a little tough. For our main course we ordered a couple of Tamago, and a Hawaiian Roll. Both were good. I bet the Hawaiian Roll will be a big hit during the summer. It is lite and a bit sweet, and frankly, tastes like summer. Our check was around $38.00. We'll go back at some point to try other menu items. read more

I was going to call for a refund on half of my 59.00. However I changed my mind since it is a new restaurant in our community! When I order at a new Asian place, I choose a few favorites to see how they're done. At Nori, I ordered Takoyaki, crab Rangoon, pork loin tonkatsu, karaage chicken, and the mochi ice cream. The takoyaki wasn't cooked all the way, so it was still pretty mushy and battery, more than a usual Takoyaki is normally. The crab Rangoon didn't have much flavor. I didn't taste crab, cream cheese, or much of any spices. Everyone makes these differently, so it is the flavor I'm looking for, not a specific taste. It had none. The Tonkatsu wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. It was decent middle of the road. The mochi ice cream was good, but not for the price. Portion size didn't match what was paid. Over all, disappointing. I'll have to try it again with a focus on sushi, but their non sushi items were not the way to go. read more
