I recently received a box of chocolates from Norman Love Confections as a surprise from one of my close friends. I was definitely caught off guard and the moment I opened the box I knew I was in for a treat... that said... you know what they say... you never know what you're gunna get. I opened the box to find that it included ice packs to ensure the chocolate didn't melt while on the way to my doorstop - much appreciated. Inside was the most beautiful packaging ever. It was branded, bright green, and even included a one sheeter on what each chocolate was. Once it was all unwrapped I was blown away at how incredibly goregous the chocolates were. I stood in awe for a minute and it took me a hot second to decided which one to try first. I'm not going to list out every single one but my favorites were the tiramisu, sea salt caramel truffle, pistachio, tahitian carmel, and strawberry. If you get someone that is upfront about flavours, they will tell you what is good and what might not be according to the sweets that you like. Mind you it's all good but it may not be the best choice for you. The store features gelato, chocolates (artistic singles as well as bars), and pasties. Thy have some specialty sandwiches, cakes and macarons. The store is located in the UTC mall area and parking close is difficult so you may have to walk but these is lots of parking areas. This place is by far the best dessert place I have ever been to. Better than anything we've had in LA or NY. i highly recommend this business because their stuff is just to die for. We used to live in the area and would go so very often. We ended up moving from the area a few weeks ago and decided to go one last time to Normans. Unfortunately, our last experience did not meet our standards with one of the desserts being inedible and the other dessert was given to us incorrectly. I recommend every dessert except for the bread pudding. It truly was disgusting. I would still make the drive to come to this place and recommend it to all my friends and family because their stuff is so fresh and delicious. You have to give this place a try. Love love love Norman Love confections. We have been getting their chocolate for years every time we would visit Naples, FL. Now, they are open in Sarasota and were finally able to stop in. They have desserts, small chocolate pieces, arrays of chocolate bars, chocolate covered fruits and other chocolate novelties. They serve espresso drinks with chocolate and hot chocolate which is with dark or milk chocolate and teas. Our fave fave fave is passion Panna cotta chocolate. It's really all we need because it's just that perfect piece of chocolate. The dark hot chocolate was perfect for a rainy day. The small is quite small, but it's just so tasty. Norman Love Confections is Delectable, Delightful and just down right Charming in a Modern Florida kind of way! My Fiancé and I visited this Gem a little over a week ago for the First time Together. He had stopped in a few times over the past Month or so and Loved it! The young ladies behind the counter were so Lovely and had Big Smiles on there Faces the whole time we were there. Once we ordered we asked if we could sit outside and when our coffee and cakes were ready they braved the powerful downpour to bring us or Order. This is a really expensive chocolate shop. While driving home from a road trip we decided to take a break. We found Norman Love Confections and figured it would be a nice place to stretch our legs. We got some chocolate bars, a pastry, and some truffles. The bars and the truffles were pretty pricey. The pastry was about what I'd have expected to pay. Everything was tasty. I don't know if I would get the truffles again because they were pretty small even for fancy truffles and about $3 each. read more

What a wonderful surprise! I had never heard of this confectionery so didn't even know what to expect. All I knew was that they sold gelato and I wanted pistachio. Of corse they had it and at least 8 others to choose from. I ordered a medium half dark chocolate and half pistachio. The serving not only over delivered in size but the taste was like being in Italy! Soooo good, fresh, great ingredients and just superb. Plus they had candies and beautiful, beautiful pastries and cakes. Definitely going back and definitely becoming a regular. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
