They really know how to do chicken right - grilled, fried or baked. But the sides of corn, mashed potatoes, fried okra, pintos, fries and turnip greens was another thing... Two suggestions: get a cooking timer and enhance the seasoning - Potatoes were dry (even after drenched in cream gravy), Dressing was bitterly seasoned and unappealing (texture of grits); Fries, pintos and corn were good; Corn muffins were so dry that they decimated upon first bite... If 3 out of 5 was "Just-OK" instead of "A-OK", would have given a 3. But upon leaving, we all wished we had spent our $60 for a steak, potato and salad at Texas Roadhouse or saved $30 by going to Scotty P's. read more

Wasn't to happy with how they cleaned up after a patron left. Food was ok. Wait staff was friendly just wasn't my place to eat.

Today I was a little upset because we had a party of 5 and there are only 2 large booths in the restaurant. They had just seated a party of 2 at one and a party of 4 at the other. (There were plenty other 4 seater booths those parties should've been seated at) so we were told we'd have to wait. HOWEVER, a very helpful employee named Megan saw us waiting and was very accommodating. She found a booth we could fit in with a chair pulled up so we wouldn't have to wait. Then she apologized we had to wait at all and went ahead and got our drinks and rolls as soon as we sat down. Then our waitress Jenn was equally as eager to please. She was polite and accommodating. Very good brunch, greens cooked just right, black eye peas & Carrot are all delicious. The rolls are soft,fresh and just wonderful.My son ordered a short stacks and the pancakes ard bigger than my son's face. Really want to try the pie but really no room. The chicken and dumplings are amazing here. Decided to try this place out after seeing it across from Boston market. The place is a retro 50's cafe with up beat music. The menu is extensive and when you walk in the feature a glass case filled with desserts. We got so full unfortunately we were unable to taste some of those yummy treats. Our server was Eric and man was the guy on point. Drinks were refilled promptly and anything we needed we didn't have to ask for he had it ready. The sweat tea had good flavor. Used to be all home made. Not mac and cheese comes from a box per manager on the floor. Out of salad mix. Couldnt make a salad from the lettuce used for burgers and sandwiches. We called in an order for pickup so that we could share with some family members that couldn't go out in public due to health reasons. We call the order in at 11:45AM. We were running behind, thank you kids, amd showed up at 12:45 for pick up. We expected the food to be cold. Nope our order wasnt even ready. My husband sat for 30 minutes, while the kids and I waited in the car, for our order to be put together. All they offered him for his wait was tea or coffee. Ate here the other night with a friend. Food was okay. This morning my fiancé and I decide to try their breakfast. Walk in get a table, we wait, we wait, we wait!!! There is a waitress standing near us but she walks away when she see we are trying to get her attention. Two other waitresses walk pass us multiple times. No says "be with you in a minute, sorry for the wait" nothing. After the guy who came in 5 minutes after us has his drink and is ordering from the first waitress, it has been 10 minutes. My fiancé nicely tried to get the waitress attention and she keeps walking. I decided to leave and no one saids anything to us when we leave. Worse service in Plano!!! The fried mushrooms are the best I have ever eaten. My son did not like the hamburger with mac and cheez.. The patty was very thin. The salads are large, but just so-so.
