Gil Tacos specializes in tacos. They have a lot of tacos on their menu. This is the place to get those hardcore Mexican tacos, like lengua, tripe and cabeza. Twice, I had to go up to the counter where the salsa was and douse my tacos in green chile salsa. The dry meat doesn't bother me as much as the gristle. I don't like fishing around in my mouth to pick out cartiledge. Salsa and chiles and things are at the front where you pick up your food. It's a communal thing. When you get your food, you can add salsa. That reminds me: You order at the counter, and they call your number. There's no table service. We also got a carne asada burrito, which I was told was excellent. Maybe I'll get a burrito the next time I visit, or a torta.
