I had to go back up to the girl barista to ask if the caramel royale macchiato was ready yet, and the other girl was just starting it. Sucks they can't even get two coffee beverages to-go right. Ambiance is morose and drab in this location, they need to renovate. The coffees were drinkable for sure though, just not good quality for what we paid for.

The booth here at Lazy Dog was perfect! We got our menus and began looking until our server approached us. He introduced himself, his name was Javier, and asked us if this was our first time, to which he replied that yes it was. He explained the menus we were given and took our drink order while we reviewed the menus. Since it was happy hour, we tried their buffalo wings and Tangy BBQ Chips to start. I did not take pictures of those items and wish I had. The happy hour items we ordered were delivered by the Manager, who was very nice and chatted with us briefly. She welcomed us as first timers and that usually sets the stage for us when the manager interacts with the customers. The wings had a nice flavor and the chips were definitely addicting. My husband asked for a dipping cup of the high altitude sauce (Javier said it was their hottest) and that was a pretty good sauce with good flavor. To drink I had a Strawberry Citrus refresher, and it was actually really good. Husband had a regular Michelob Ultra, and had no complaints. We both chose food items from the menu, under the $15 Fireside Favorites. You get a choice of an entree and desert. Husband chose the fried chicken dinner with an extra piece of fried chicken and I chose the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. The food was good, I enjoyed my fettuccini Alfredo which I'm usually picky about. The husband was a little thrown off as he thought the chicken was going to be like bone in fried chicken, and in the end he said it was good regardless. For desert, he got the S'more Brownie Sundae and I got the Banana Pudding. I was sold on the banana pudding, as was my husband. We ended up finishing my desert and took his brownie home (which got eaten later during our movie at home). I have to say, I'd definitely come back. The bowl could have had more honey miso sauce. The chicken pieces were about 1-2" in size. The sauce was mostly over the vegetables. The meal also came with a choice of S'more brownie sundae or banana pudding. My pudding was delicious. The waitress didn't come around often to check on our needs. I had to stop her to ask for paper napkins, water refill and the check. I would definitely go back.

I would rather eat a ^&&*( then to ever eat at this place ever again! I have been a frequent patron forever and this last experience clinched it for me! Went with my family after work this past Thursday, took 45 minutes just to get a drink order. Then was served hard rolls with some pink crap all over the butter that was very questionable. 20 minutes later (mind you everyone who had come in after us had their orders taken or even served) We finally got our order taken. One daughter's salad was forgotten, not once but twice even when told about it. Another 45 minutes goes by before my BURNT food came out, not just a little burnt, completely burnt throughout, and my wrong sauce was given to me, and my husband asked for butter for a cold baked potato, and so on and so on. We were completely ignored by incompetent staff and at this point, I was ready to leave. Got there at 5:15 and left (without dinner) at 7:30. When complaining to staff, a manager was not even offered. I use to waitress and understand how tough the job can be and how difficult people can be. We weren't difficult, we just wanted decent service and prices. We couldn't even get that. So next time you think about going, make sure for the love of God that you do not sit on the left side of the restaurant, that is where patrons are completely forgotten about, at least that was the case at my last experience. See ya Norm's, will never return, there are better places to go to! read more

This place is one of the worst restaurants if not the worst I have ever been too. The first time I went I had a salad and some fettuccine alfredo with chicken. The chicken was not even chopped up into little pieces like I asked and there was a lot of water in the pasta. I asked the waiter to just get rid of it and I would stick to the regular salad and he rolled his eyes and grabbed the plate as if he was offended. I returned for a second time because my mother and sister wanted to go for their first time. Once again I tried to give it another shot to the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and the chicken had extra skin hanging everywhere. The chicken was not well done and the pasta was very dry. I mean yes this is not Olive Garden but come on the fettuccine was disgusting. To top it off my mother had this steak, eggs and hash brown breakfast meal and she found a hair. I went up to the register to speak to a manager and he was outside so of course I waited. When he was ready to assist me and I explain what occured he says "well why don't we have our chefs make your dinner again" so I say no thank you my sister and mother left the restaurant and are grossed out. He was so upset he snatched the receipt from my hand. This is a TRUE story, no joke, so sad how that man is a manager. I will NEVER in my life return here. read more

We stopped by Norms in Riverside early on a Sunday morning, and it was a smooth experience right from the start. Since it's located near the Tyler Mall, parking was plentiful, and we had no trouble finding a spot. We were also seated immediately, which was a nice bonus for a Sunday. The service was a bit of a mixed bag, but mostly positive. We were impressed that a busser took our drink order and was actually a little more on the ball than our waitress. The restaurant itself has a large waiting area, which is great for busier times, but we were glad we didn't have to use it. The food was decent, but this is where the experience took a small hit. I ordered a dish that, according to the menu, didn't come with onions, but it arrived with them. It was easy enough to just scrape them off, but it's a detail that speaks to a lack of consistency. That was the main reason for my -1 star deduction. To add to that, we also overheard that the table behind us had to send their food back because they were unhappy with it, mentioning that it was undercooked. Overall, it's a solid 4-star spot. The food was okay, and the service was efficient in some areas. It's a good choice for a no-wait weekend breakfast, just be sure to double-check your order if you have any specific requests or dietary needs. read more

They don't even deserve one star. Everyone that works here looks like a hot mess or coming down from a bunch a drugs, the waiters and waitresses are the hugest b*tches. My silverware had dried up gumbo or ketchup or something disgusting. It was still sticky! My cousins soda cup had dried up rice and lettuce hanging off of it she then asked for another one and they gave her a greasy oily cup! And on top of that there were flies all over our food. My strawberry pancakes looked like it's been left out for years. Wth! So when I asked for another spoon since mine was freaking gross, one of the cynthia doll lookin red head old b*tches there gave me a spoon and said you're welcome and laughed with the huge whale next to her. Didn't even give me a chance to say thank you. Rude as f*ck. Then! The cashier at the front has a stupid attitude too snatching up cards and slapping receipts! I'd be pissed too if I had to work for 8 dollars an hour, not showered in 4 days and not have a high school diploma either boo. Grade A customer service, so sanitary! I have never wrote something bad about a restaurant but I have to tell the people what happen today ... I went to Norms to try to enjoy my birthday with my family and friends. we get there we were 7 adults and when I got there it was only 3 but the other guys were 1 min away .. they called my name and the stupid goat looking asshole tells us where the table is when we get there and asked me where the rest of my party is i tell him there 1min away soo he takes the menus and tells me that until my party is all here he can't sit me down and if when my party comes and the table is taking I would have to wait more time .. I call my party then where they were and they were parking I go and tell the asshole if we can sit down because my party was parking and he said no until everyone was inside of the building ... this is the most stupid rule I have ever heard and I think this asshole was just being racist.. and the worst part is that my mother is handicap and he didn't even see that .. First of all I was going to go somewhere else because someone else wanted to. I recently fell in love with Norms. So, I went to the one near the Tyler Mall. It was quiet and fast seating. I ordered the split pea soup, salad, half turkey on squaw bread and an ice to no lemon. Food came fast. My split pea soup was so good. I got croutons and tabasco for it. The salad with rance, I got extra ranch, it's so good. I was stuffed so my turkey sandwich was to go. I got two pieces of cheesecake to go no strawberries. A free ice to go. Romero was our busser but he was much more. He refilled our drinks, cleaned our dishes from the table as eat ate. Brought out to go boxes. Our server was prompt and friendly, but the order took longer to arrive than expected, so, yeah....it can be slow, but that's probably because the place was packed.Family friendly, seemed reasonably clean, outdated decor. I come to this location often. Food is good most of the time. Props on bringing back the liver plate but it depends on the chief sometimes I extra good. One thing I noticed this time that they have new team members. I would have given 5 stars but the hostess named Carla made my party feel uncomfortable made ambiance fell awkward with a mad face just lets customers sit there no welcoming nor nothing definitely need people skills. Believe it or not, it was affordable, less time consuming, and food was great. We even got a a better price purchasing through The Yelp App, save money and food was ready just in time. Horrible service and treat military personnel like crap. They offer 50% military discount but only if in full dress. My son is on leave and looks forward to not wearing fatigues. When on vacation do you wear your work clothes? We even showed his military government issued ID and they still refused. 5.00 was gonna break them I guess.
