The customer service at this location is excellent. The manager always rushes to the counter to help whenever someone walks up, which shows how much he cares about his customers. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the manager does an amazing job creating such a positive experience. This one star is for two reasons... 1st: The cashier, Janette,(spelling is off, I'm sure) was very rude. She was standing at the cash register WAITING on a man ASKING his 5 year old CHILD questions over and over again what they wanted. I said, "excuse me, what's the code for the restroom?" All I got was a hand-up in the air, towards myself. I continued to stand there, while the man continued to ask said child questions,.. still waiting on them ordering.... When finally a gentleman from the back walks up and gives me the simple code, which took him 2 seconds. #2: I order the Baja fish sandwich... IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO. Flavorless and blah. This sandwich WAS NOT WORTH THE $11.00. I would rather go to McDonald's for their Fillet-O-Fish sandwich, at least they are true to their picture and not deceiving as a way of advertising. This is for the Habit on Tyler: I've been going to this location since they opened. I WAS addicted to their Santa Barbara Salad. The reason I stopped visiting was that the salad price went up just a little, BUT the size was cut in half, and the veggies were not fresh. The last time I ordered this salad, the avocado was still hard! GROSS! Well, it's been a few months and the Korean fare looked tempting. So I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken bites - Five chicken nuggets with spiced Orange Sauce for $6.39?!?!?!? I also ordered the side salad. Why do I NOT get to choose my salad dressing when ordering online? Not everybody wants Ranch!! The server who helped when I arrived was pleasant, went over my order and Thanked me. When I got into my vehicle, the bag tipped over. While all the food stayed in the bag, those sticky chicken bites got all over due to Habit not placing them in a secure container, just the little boat with a piece of paper over them! The salad container was not secure either. Its lid came off, so now I have Korean Orange Chicken mixed with my salad!! I've lived in S. Korea for a time and have eaten Yangnyeom Chicken and Kkanpunggi, both authentic Korean Food. Your Fried Korean Fried Chicken Bites don't even come close to either of these. When my carnivorous friends want to go out for a burger, this is the place that I always will chose over In-N-Out Burger. (In-N-Out Burger has almost nothing for vegetarians.) The help is usually kind and helpful. And I like that. It has a open fire fast, food, Grill ambience. There is no table service. You have to order your food at the counter. Once I reached the register the girl said they can no longer take orders at the register we had to use the kiosk. I'm a vegetarian. And they have one of the best charbroiled vegetarian burgers around. I like my veggie burger like anyone who eats a meat burger, and that is with pickles, lettuce, tomato and a whole lot of ketchup! And don't forget that side of french fries. Habit burger does well on all of that. I don't know about the rest of their food, but I come here for the veggie burgers and I'm quite happy with my meal. It's not fast like Burger King or McDonald's, because everything is fresh and made to order. So far most of the staff served me my burgers with a smile and a good attitude. Alright so here's the skinny. This place isn't perfect, far from it. In fact, they messed up my burger this exact visit. That being said, the place is usually pretty busy, the cooks take care in their food, and the staff are generally pretty friendly. The manager fixed my burger with speed and precision and was super great all through out the experience. Given how busy it was, how crazy the line can get, and they're human, mistakes happen! I usually take my son here Saturdays after his lessons pretty regularly and I've only ever had a handful of issues. The food is exactly what you want out of a burger that's cheaper but not lacking quality. The only thing I would recommend is staffing an additional person to help clean the lobby more regularly. They did clean when the crowd calmed down but it would have benefited from someone just taking care of it from top to bottom. Thanks guys! read more

I had a really bad experience at The Habit at Tyler st. And Diana Ave. First, there is no one to take your order (too few employees). So, you are like forced to use the order machine. Fine, but when finishing my order, I was hoping to print my receipt, which is a must in my case. However, it's not possible if you use this OM. I requested the manager my printed receipt, and he took the printed order , which doesn't have the order amount, and said: this is all I can give you. I mean, these people are not willing to help the costumer at all. Neither the other two guys that I I interacted with. After insisting, the manager told me he could print the receipt but didn't have time. I waited patiently. While I was eating my order, the manager shows up with a printed incomplete receipt , it only had 2 orders out of 6. All he said was, that is how it prints. And the girl that showed up excused herself blaming the company. She said that they work for someone else and not for the Habit, which is contradictory, because each location represents the brand, at the end. She brings me out a plain burger saying they couldn't put the avocado on it because there was pepper in it and I said well, you're charging me for the Santa Fe and giving me a plain burger That's not acceptable. I haven't written a review in a while, but after the experience I just had here today, I had to write one. Let me start off by saying this is my first time eating here at The Habit, so I had no idea what to order. I was welcomed in with a warm smile from behind the counter. I told him that it was my first time so I was going to take a minute to browse through the menu. Now in most cases, the person behind the counter would then proceed to stare blankly ahead quietly waiting for me to decide, but Moises actually helped me out by suggesting some popular items on the menu, he also informed me of the alterations they can make if I wasn't feeling super hungry (ex. Single Santa Barbara Char instead of double). After being so accommodating, I decided on the classic Charburger and added cheese. Moises was kind enough to list all the items that would be in the burger and asked if I'm okay with it; Another thing I appreciated cause I would've totally forgot to say no pickles if he didn't do that. The burger and fries... were amazing! I like that their lettuce was shredded rather than one big piece, easy to eat with no worries about pulling the whole lettuce piece out of the burger when taking a bite. The touch of Mayo was also a nice addition. Ooh and the friesss, can't forget the fries! You could tell it was fresh upon biting into them-- super thin, crisp layer on top, a perfect ratio between potato-y and airy, no oily taste at all, lightly salted, can a fry be more perfect? I think not. Overall, I would highly recommend The Habit to anyone who is craving a good burger!
