Collision shop had offered to put my tags on when they arrived but couldn't do it without me leaving my car and sent me to Norris Garage. I just needed help with a stripped license plate bolt and they were able to get it out and replaced for me right away. I just got a new car and usually have always been a dealership gal and never had a local mechanic before. I visited there today. I hadn't been there in over a year because I purchased a new car and its under warranty. I scheduled my appointment for 8:30am and when I arrived at 8:01 am, I was told very nasty that I was late and my appointment was at 7:30am. I said, that's impossible because that's the time I drop my daughter off for school so there is now way I agreed to get there at 7:30am. I also explained to them that the reason I was 30 minutes early (remember, my appointment was at 8:30am) is because my car kept stalling to start (push button start, car is a 2020). I let them turn the car off to change the oil. After being there an hour, the guy quotes my oil change and says to me that he will "check my battery" to see if its low. At about 10:45 am (at this point, I'm there for 2 hours for an oil change), its time to pay and they tried to charge me $125.00 for "looking at my battery to figure out what the problem was". I was never told that it would cost me an additional $125 to "look at my battery". I asked him why would I pay $125 for something AutoZone does for free?! He then got nasty and told me that he will drop the $125 so "I wouldn't leave on bad terms" and I asked that I never return. I said, "no problem, you aren't the only mechanic in town that does oil changes". Never, ever deal with these people. read more

I was customer here for at least 10 years and I spent well over ten thousand dollars with this shop over the course of several years and several vehicles. I stopped going here 6 or 7 years ago, for reasons I'll get into, but recently had a mishap on the road right in front of their shop so I limped my vehicle in for repair.... and I was immediately reminded of why I stopped going there. I remembered their smug attitude and over charging me. First, the owner loves to talk about how "honest" he is. Anytime someone repeats "good thing I'm an honest mechanic" you better keep and eye on them and a hand on your wallet. He looked in his system and saw I hadn't been there in 6 years and tried to run a soft ball guilt trip on me as if he wanted an explanation for why I hadn't been there. He never directly asked me why I stopped coming so I didn't bother telling him about himself and how the last straw for me was not one of the $1500 repairs I'd had in the past, but rather it was a conversation he and I had over a $50 repair that finally prompted me take my business elsewhere. I remember him rushing me off the phone years ago saying he was busy and didn't have time to go back and forth over a $50 repair. Since he didn't have time to talk to a customer who has been coming there for 10 years and spent thousands of dollars, I said fine. I went and paid the bill including the $50 (for something that should have cost like $10 or even been thrown in for free with my other hundreds of dollars of repairs) and that was the last time they got a dime out of me until my vehicle acted up the other week. So that $50 conversation cost them thousands in my business for my three vehicles over the last few years and will continue to cost them my business moving forward unless I happen to break down in front of their shop again. And of course it's not about the $50 amount, it's about the fact that I deserved more respect than I got after all the money I had spent with this company. In my experience, they mostly use scare and guilt tactics to try to keep you as a customer and try to make you think every little thing is critical or you'll be on the side of the road tomorrow. They do good work though and are reliably consistent with good quality mechanic work which is why I had been a customer for so long in the past, so that's why I give them three stars. But between the attitude, the scare tactics, and the high prices, I have found better over all service elsewhere. read more

Excellent service and professional staff. I brought my car in for a transmission fluid change, alignment, and check of my minivan sliding doors. My van runs smooth, the car no longer pulls, and the sliding doors move like new. The mechanic explained everything very clearly to me and serviced my vehicle to my satisfaction. I haven't used this garage yet but I am already impressed with the level of professionalism and honesty. My truck was at the dealership when I called Joe. I explained the issues I had and the Quote I received. He told me the quote was reasonable and he believed the issue I had and what Nissan told me was accurate. His quote was able to beat nissans and it came with a better warrantee. I will use this garage in the future prior to taking it to the dealership. read more
