I had driven on a flat, and if you're unaware, this can rapidly degrade the quality of your drive. You can wear a CB joint, your axel, or your rotor, if I recall, and too much wear on these can do immense damage to your car's future. I had replaced two of my tires and still felt a wobble. How could it be the tires, I thought? This is why College Street Motors' experience comes into play. The car might as well be a multi-piece orchestra, with brake drums, piston percussion, and wheel woodwinds. I don't intend to go over the top with this metaphor, because it sounds like a bunch of noise and shaking for me. The mechanic left me a very detailed note, describing how there was nothing more discernible than the loud noise coming from the tires I had yet to replace. No wobbling due to damage to other parts of the car. Plus, I believe they warranty their work, maybe I'm just thinking of my AAA membership. After my tires were replaced, I was relieved at how right they were. As internal combustion engine drivetrain cars are complex, so are electrical cars in their own way. It's a world I have yet to get into, or may never dig deep enough to really gain a foothold of experience. Luckily, there're mechanics just down the street for me that took only a bit of time to diagnose the problem, find a tire match for the ones I had just gotten new, and then both install and balance. I bet their experience pays dividends to other customers, too, who are hoping to make sense of a new problem with little labor and diagnostics. There was no sign on the door or at the counter about closing early or stopping inspections. I waited about 15 minutes before being told by the inspector that he wasn't doing any more inspections for the day because he was tired after being there since 8 a.m. He said he told the customer before me that he would be his last inspection -- but another customer wouldn't be responsible for telling me that, and he did not. If there's a cutoff time for inspections, it really needs to be clearly posted so people don't waste their time showing up well before closing and being turned away. Very poor customer service. I do wonder whether the owner or manager is aware of this decision to stop inspections early and the impact it has on customers.

There was no apology for their oversight on not confirming that they had the correct parts needed and no discount for my inconvenience for having to wait. I was a 1st time customer. The service for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation including tax was 105.97. I chose to support a local shop instead of a chain with thoughts that I would be supporting a small business and getting customer service that generally goes along with a privately owned company that wants to maintains a great reputation.

Bring it somewhere else obviously and they tell me that no spark plugs were ever changed. They are definitely the originals. What the hell was I charged $1300 for??
