I was treated like a human being and every employee there seemed genuinely happy to work there. They worked great with my insurance company, and even went as far as returning my rental car for me when I went to pick up Mustang.

This is, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with an auto body shop…read more I was referred to A&M Auto Body by my insurance company, Farmers Insurance, after my accident. Because they were a recommended repair facility, I trusted them with my vehicle. That was a mistake. When I got my car back, it had new damage that was not there before. The left side of my aftermarket wide-body bumper had been damaged and no longer fit correctly. Instead of acknowledging the damage, the shop claimed it was already like that when I dropped the vehicle off. That is simply not true. The problems didn't stop there. My dash cam no longer worked after they finished the repairs. The 10-amp fuse had been blown. My alarm siren stopped working because a wire had been cut and never repaired. While inspecting the engine bay, I found multiple wires that had been cut and left unrepaired. On top of that, my steering wheel--which cost me over $700--was scratched and scuffed while the vehicle was in their care. I take exceptional care of my vehicle and have extensive experience working on cars. I know exactly what condition it was in before it entered this shop, and I know what was damaged afterward. I contacted A&M Auto Body multiple times and spoke directly with the owner. Rather than taking responsibility and fixing the problems, I received excuses. I was eventually told they were waiting on one replacement piece from the manufacturer of my wide-body kit. It has now been over three months, and my vehicle is still not repaired. Waiting this long for a single part, with little meaningful communication or urgency, is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I paid a $1,000 insurance deductible expecting my vehicle to be repaired correctly. Instead, I got my car back with additional damage and had to spend months trying to get someone to take responsibility. I've also had to file complaints because the issues remain unresolved. The most frustrating part isn't just the poor workmanship--it's the complete lack of accountability. If a repair shop damages a customer's vehicle, they should own the mistake and fix it promptly. That never happened here. Based on my experience, I would never trust A&M Auto Body with another vehicle, nor would I recommend them to anyone. If you care about the quality of your vehicle and expect honest communication, attention to detail, and accountability, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Being new to…read morethe area, I immediately felt comfortable bringing my car to Archstone after a brief phone conversation with Danny. He mentioned that the owner, Herman was out for the weekend but would be back on Monday. Herman contacted me on Monday after my car was towed to their shop to discuss the timeframe and details of the job. I was quite concerned and wanted to make certain the job was done right! Herman worked with my insurance company to make sure I received OEM parts for my car as he explained that the insurance company had only provided an estimate for aftermarket parts. Herman kept in close touch throughout the 3 week process of having my car repaired. I was also very concerned about the vinyl hood covering and he made sure he took it to a shop that did the job correctly instead of trying to "fudge it" himself. My car was ready the week he promised however there was one small detail that Herman took care of immediately after I brought the car back for him to correct the issue. While I was there he custom painted some trim for me and applied it to my car. My experience with Herman and Archstone Auto Body Inc was outstanding and I feel all of the "details" were take care of. I Highly recommend and would go to this body shop again if necessary.

When I got my car back, I found several problems, including peeling paint, loose windows, and poorly installed doors that made rattling noises. I had to return my car multiple times because every time I picked it up, I found new issues. When I complained about the peeling paint, they gave me a small bottle of touch-up paint and told me to repaint it myself if it peeled again. I also discovered that my insurance company had paid to replace parts such as the front bumper and the door handle, but they were never replaced. The side mirror was simply glued back on. After I confronted them, they admitted the mistake, ordered the parts, and finally installed them, causing even more delays. This review is based on my personal experience. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone who expects quality repairs, professionalism, and attention to detail.

After installing the new mirror, Jim, the owner wouldn't accept payment. He said "no problem, it was a small job and was happy to help." Wow! Since then, We've brought all of our family cars to AV Repair for body and drive train maintenance, and have always been satisfied with the quality, speed of service and prices. RV Repair is a great local independent shop, and I highly recommend them for all of your car repair needs.

I paid early, upfront 792 dollars for the replacements. I picked up my car later that night and knew something felt off. Thank god I made it across the busy rode to my parking garage when the front left tire flew off of my car causing significant damage to the front of my car to the point I could not open my drivers side door. Not to mention how shaken up I was after the incident. I was VERY lucky I didn't hurt myself or someone else. If I had kept driving down 114 or my tire didn't hold on as long, this would have been a serious accident. After a nightmare of trying to get my car towed, I returned it to the shop and spoke with Jim who said he would fix it. The next morning I was told my car would be repaired and my back brakes would be replaced for free for the inconvenience- not at my request. I did not want my back brakes replaced. He was not able to get me a rental car due to "high demand." I was told that the workers were rushed that afternoon and distracted- they forgot to tighten the lug nuts... I expressed my frustration about how I deserved a bit more compensation for not having a car for over 4 days, the damage my car had been put through as well as the severity of the mistake. I was met with condescending remarks such as "what could have happened and what happened are two different things," "you're making a mountain out of a mole hill" and "I'll put your old tires back on if that's what you want." You would think a business owner whose negligent mistake could have seriously injured or killed someone would have a bit more pride and respect than that. I felt incredibly belittled and downplayed. Ironic how their website lists the word "integrity"... He even refused to cover my Uber expenses over the weekend and told me he would only cover the trips to and from work even though I had other plans I needed my car for. Not once did he ask to meet me in person, sincerely apologize, or ask for photos. He only seemed to care about himself and not the customer. He bulldozed over my concerns and was incredibly defensive. In the end he refused to pay for my transportation over the weekend. I only got my money back because he agreed to put my old tires back on and take back the new ones. His insurance will now take care of the rest of the damages and transportation fees. Needless to say, I will never be back to this shop. It was a complete headache and waste of my time. Hopefully this accident does not cause further issues for my car. I encourage anyone who contemplates using AV repair to please not jeopardize their safety. There are many other trustworthy mechanics out there who will keep you safe and not treat their customers this way! Safety is not their priority at the business. This was a significant mistake that I hope does not happen to anyone else.

Despite the seriousness of these problems, the general manager has not reached out, which is extremely disappointing given everything I've experienced. The most concerning issue is the persistent shaking of the vehicle. Your service department has already worked on it, yet the problem continues. The technicians themselves have recommended that the tires be replaced to properly address the issue -- however, the general manager is declining coverage, even though this recommendation is coming directly from your own service shop. I don't usually do reviews due to being in the business myself, but his condescending way of speaking and doing business leads me to believe he is teleported to work each day in a time capsule. This place seems to be still capable of throwing your keys on the roof and selling you a wholesale car without an engine at a retail price. Tried to buy a vehicle from this place, at their price, that clearly had bad brakes due to the thumping, grinding and message that appeared on the dash, but John instead resulted in pissing on my head and telling me it's raining. He stated that the rear brakes were just recently replaced and what I was experiencing wasn't really happening, even though the Carfax clearly stated the brakes were replaced over 20k miles ago and were only "checked" by the dealership at inception. If you are buying a used car from this place; you better check the Carfax and make sure they have invested in the vehicle or maybe just stay away all together. Being in the business I was surprised to see that they invested nothing but still wanted all of the money without giving me all of the car. So please, if you are looking for TRUST... don't come here!
