Great job by the guys at this shop. I brought my jeep in for brake service, all 4 brakes and rotors. I had my reservations on how the brakes would come out as the jeep is over 5k lbs. my previous brake job from the dealership was terrible so I was that customer that asked a lot of questions due to bad experience. My check engine light had been on for a month or so and I had been ignoring it. But, my inspection sticker was expired, so I couldn't ignore it anymore. Since the car was running fine I assumed whatever was wrong was going to be an easy (fingers crossed) fix. But, I always worry since I am a girl that doesn't know crap about cars, that they'll inflate my bill and I won't have any choice but to go with what they tell me. I was referred to Forrest by AAA Tire since they don't do engine work & Forrest does. I called on Mon afternoon & spoke to Paul about what was going on. He told me he could check it out on Wed. I dropped it off the afternoon before (Tuesday) because I was worried about the weather on Wed. Paul called me on Wed morning to go over what needed to be done and discuss the cost of parts/labour. It was a pretty quick fix, as I had hoped, and no attempt to jack up my bill!! I appreciated Paul calling to go over everything with me. My car was ready by noon on Wednesday and when I picked it up he told me I should drive it a bit before attempting to get my new inspection sticker. Again, much appreciated since I wouldn't have thought to do this on my own! On Friday, Paul texted me to make sure I was happy with the work and that the car was running well!! Talk about small town service!! I was so impressed by this!! A small thing that really stood out... especially during the hectic holiday season. Driving in from Chicagoland to help a Wilmington friend with home remodeling, I needed the SUV repaired for my return trip home. Forrest Auto was highly recommended by my friend, having realized years of professional service. Paul and Jack squeezed me into their busy workload, investigated the problem thoroughly, and repaired it in record time with a new fuel injector components in Cylinder #4. Something popped and I couldn't properly shut and latch the door. It was 5:20 pm but I took a chance and Forrest was still open. The owner was on his way out but insisted he take a look. Then he FIXED IT WHILE I WAITED! Truly a kind man that saved me a lot of frustration with figuring out how to get the kids where they need to go this weekend and then work on Monday (figured it would be in the shop for at least a day or two...).
