    Basic, comfy bed

We booked North Bay Inn for an overnight stay in Santa Rosa after planning to catch dinner at SingleThread. For some reason, many of the closer, mid-priced hotels in Healdsburg were sold out this week. North Bay Inn is a basic, motel-style place surrounded by many businesses on Mendocino Ave. We had a pleasant stay at this basic hotel, so I will rate 4 stars. Pros: * Rooms are large, clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being located on a busy street. * Free and fast wifi * Powerful shower and toilet * Lots of storage space, and in-room microwave. * Soft and comfy bed * Walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and stores Cons * Breakfast is really limited - cereal, unripe bananas, granola bars, pastries * No laundry bag * Non-existent amenities - no gym or pool.

    Not worth $188 a night.

If i could give a zero i would. Wifi had only 1 bar. The room is a basic $60 motel who charged me $188 for one night. There is minimal towels, pillows and soaps. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. Thanks to booking.com for messing this booking up. No refund is offered even though there were people looking for rooms. The front desk smiled in my face when i said it is not worth that much money. FIND A BETTER PLACE TO STAY THESE PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF.

A 1930's style classic, within walking distance to shops, Santa Rosa Jr College & High School. I do loads of travelling and my room was large, clean, it had a microwave, frig and minutes to downtown or Hwy 101. It was the best $80,00 I have spent, the rooms were quiet and I will return. Family Owned.

The front desk employee, was annoyed when I arrived at 2:00. She lectured me about rooms not being ready, and how she doesn't like the app giving guests the option to check-in early. Rooms are old and dont smell great. There were also some unsavory type guests staying in some neighboring rooms. I got he feeling this may be a popular place for unhoused people to stay when they get enough money together for a room. Our next door neighbor was clearly on drugs and came outside and glared at us and slammed his door each time we went to our car. Very odd and a bit unsettling. Bottom line, this hotel is just too inexpensive to be a safe place to stay. I'll just pay $20 more p night and stay in a Hampton Inn or Garden Inn as opposed to this location.

The weekend we stayed was a busy one, so the property was mostly occupied. The staff was moving as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Upon check-in, which was an hour late beyond check-in time, we had to store our luggage with the front desk. We were hoping to get in on time so we could freshen up before our wine tasting but we just used the lobby bathroom. When we got back from lunch, we get to our one-bedroom suite, which is the Sonoma Garden Suite. The room is super nice and spacious room with a full patio (see photos); it easily fits 4-5 (two full beds and one couch). But we had one problem....the room was soooo hot...mind you, we went on a hot weekend. We called for service and they send the engineer to look at our AC unit twice. Air was blowing, but it was warm air. At this point, we decided we cannot stay in this room, and I asked the front desk what can be done. They said they could move us to another room. I asked for TWO rooms bc technically, the suite we had was a room made for 4+ people and I booked it for the sole factor being we had lots of extra space (800+ SF). After a little back and forth, the young lady at the front desk said there was nothing they could do bc they only had ONE room. Then the front desk manager Eddie Huang stepped in and said they will try to fix the AC one more time when my group and I were out to dinner. Before leaving, I asked in the event the AC is NOT fixed, what are our options. He said they would figure that out when I got back, but I told him I didn't want to deal with this after a later dinner; I would rather have some kind of backup plan as the two first visits from the engineer did not result in anything. I left slightly annoyed, bc although I was reassured they would make it right, there was no clear plan. We left for dinner, came back to the room, changed, and made the decision that we needed to get out of this room ASAP. Luckily two of the gals were able to deal with the air, but two of us could not. So, we marched to the front desk and front desk manager Eddie was still there. He said he has taken the necessary steps to move us into TWO rooms and that they are ready now. Told him we only needed one room since the other two guests were ok with staying where they were. The next morning, we checked out and Eddie was there again, said he reimbursed us all our points, and took care of the resort/parking fee as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I know sometimes the staff can only do so much, especially given it was a busy weekend, but I have to say the two times I've been here, the staff was very nice and keep their cool. Patrons can be unruly so a high-five to them for dealing with the complaints. This property remains one of the nicer ones and is within walking distance of so many good eats. I would go back again and hopefully try to make use of that nice patio in that suite I booked.

Great hotel, visited twice: once in January and one in April…read more Both times got early check in when reached out in advance, got upgraded (possibly, due to being a Hyatt member) and the second time the visit was for a birthday so received two small wine cans and some candies, which was a very nice touch! The rooms both times were clean, with comfortable beds, and all amenities seemed great as well. Did not use the pool or the hot tub but they were on the premises. I did like the daily events available: went to a yoga class on one morning and on one of the evenings to the s'mores night, both are free for those who stay at the hotel. I did not hear any neighbors on any of then nights but maybe got lucky. Can walk to the nearby restaurants which is a plus as well. Will be back again if will visit the area.

Couldn't verify any of the complaints. Staff at the front, greeter at the door as well as the valet guy, were all cordial. The lobby was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and a very chill vibe indeed. Rooms were quaint with nice accomodations (large LED flat screen and brand new fridge hidden inside cabinet. Bed was comfy and firm with new beddings. I'm usually picky with pillows so I brought my own. Closet had complimentary white robes and slippers. Bathroom had sliding door and a Smart mirror. Shower had hard rain water. Our room overlooked the parking lot so we had plain view of our car. La Rosa Tequileria and Grille is next door or not sure if this is affiliated with the hotel. But when we would pass as we walked to the mall (about a few blocks away or a hop and skip away), the restaurant was always packed (indoor and outdoor). We didn't get to try La Rosa as our dinner reservation was with Warike (Peruvian and literally across the street.). Prices at Warike seemed steep in comparison to La Rosa, but everything was worth every dime. Everything we ordered there was flavorful and delicious with excellent ambience and customer service. Our overnight stay was a pleasant one and will definitely be back soon and would recommend this hotel to all. It seemed pretty quite but busy when we stayed here on NYE, but that's a sign that this little town is still flourishing. Parking at the hotel is a hit or miss. But there's always the option to have VIP parking and they will park your car for you, about two blocks away next to the theater.
