Our Babygirl on her 10 year birthday
Mari G.

Beware!!! You do not want to bring your birds here. Very upset with everything I experienced with this vet. I brought my beautiful (never sick a day in her life) Quaker to this Avian vet because my little girl was Egg bound. When I first arrived they put me in a room and tell me the doctor would be right in. A woman came in, took one look at my bird and told me my bird was in prolapse. She told me this was very bad and there's not much they can do. I said are you sure I was told that she is just egg bound? She said well she could be that too. Let me look. She took my bird and begins to look with a Q-tip in side her to see what the problem is. She then says to me oh yes, she is just egg bound not prolapsed. She tells me she is not the avian doctor, she is her assistant, but she's been doing this for 13 years so she will handle my bird. They took my bird to the back and said they would be back shortly with an estimate. When they came back in, they gave me an estimate for $2200!!!! I told them that that is ridiculous and I don't have that kind of money. They asked me what I could afford I said maybe $700. They left the room and magically came back with an estimate that was now $780. They said that included keeping my little girl overnight. I agreed and I left planning on returning in the morning to see the actual vet. Within 30 minutes, I received a phone call that my girl had passed her egg. Then 15 minutes later I received a phone call that my bird had died. I talked to quite a few bird owners and breeders about my situation and my bird that was egg bound for less than 24 hours should not have died. Very suspicious. I do not hold them responsible for her death because I could never know what actually killed her. But I certainly do not feel a vet assistant was the proper hands for my bird to be in. To top off this horrible story I have now gotten a copy of the bill. This company had the nerve to charge me $70 for hospitalization 24 hours for them caring for my bird for less than an hour. When I questioned them, they couldn't care less! Absolutely Shameful!!! Unfortunately, there are so many vets out there that are just interested in making money from vulnerable pet owners. Praying on people who would do anything to save their baby! In my opinion, this is one of those places. Trust me, avoid them like the plague.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr Kenyan and staff! My dog was recently rescued from the county shelter and has a lot of needs to address. I appreciate the staff making him feel comfortable and also for answering my many questions!

Paris, had they bothered to get us test results she could've been protected in the coop with her sisters and her brave rooster/protector.

I needed an antibody test for a rescued healthy chicken to verify she wasn't carrying contagious illness. I was informed they required an exam to administer the test. (I neither needed or wanted) but before exposing my flock to potential latent disease, I agreed. They performed the exam and gave me a report- she is healthy (which I knew) and an estimate of over $500. I said I only wanted the blood test, but approved a vitamin B shot to boost her energy and immune system. I remitted $250 (wow, but what else could I do- they had me). 15 days later and (3 inquiries by telephone) and I finally got a text telling me the test can take 10 days . I called and spoke to Alex who agreed with my doubt that the test sample would be reliable after so much time. They refunded the test cost, but refuse to refund the needless exam I was extorted into getting on my healthy chicken. Paris was being kept separate during the overdue results- and was attacked by a predator- she died. I do NOT recommend this vet- money -is all they care about, not the pet.

We used to take our dogs here years ago but moved so we didn't go back. We recently decided to go back to this location because their prices are decent and they have $5 rabies on certain days! Make sure to call and ask when and set an appointment for it. We had an appointment for two of our dogs here during the corona virus and had an amazing experience! They had us check in and wait in the car until they were ready for us. That took a bit but no big deal. From what I remember wait times are sometimes long. Then they took our dogs in without us. Exam was an average wait time. Got our dogs their shots and exam. The dogs also got their nails trimmed during their exam. We will definitely be coming back here.

A few years ago they were great when they neutered a stray that I adopted. I now have an abandoned pup that they're taking great care of.

Great animal hospital in general. Just hard to get an appointment and you are left on hold for a very long time sometimes.

We contacted Angel Veterinary Services at 5:00 am and left a message that we need assistance with transitioning our puppy to a better place. We immediately received a call back from their offices letting us know Dr. Alexis and her assistant, Rhi were available at 11 am to come to our house and euthanize our puppy. We were heart broken with having to make this decision. When Dr. Alexis and Rhi arrived at our house they met us at the front door with so much love and compassion that we knew Sawyer would be in good hands throughout this process. While our hearts were broken, Dr. Alexis helped us feel like we made the right decision and Sawyer had transitioned to a much better place. OVer the next couple of days, we recieved so much support through Dr. Alexis and her team that made us feel so much better and we know our Sawyer is no longer suffering and in a much better place with our previous puppy, Mona Lisa and our family in heaven. I know I have rambled on, but from the bottom of my heart, I can't thank Dr. Alexis and her team for being there for us in such a difficult time. Our hearts will always be with them as they were with us through such a hard time. With all our love, we share this review.

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

Not long after checking them out my pup told me it was time and we went immediately to them on a Friday morning when they opened. They had the perfect room for him. They gave us a whole cart of treats to give to him and the doctor and staff was so kind and compassionate. The staff from the very first time we walked in to the time I was called to pick his ashes up was absolutely amazing. It was the only time they truly saw him and it felt like they had cared for him so many times before. I couldn't of ask for a better place and staff to have my dog cared for. They were so kind to us and even complimented on how good he was but that was his demeanor, he was always kind and sweet. Thank you Scottsdale animal Hospital! Again never asked that by any vet. You can pay right in the room, another win. We have another dog who needs to be looked at. I can tell you as someone who just moved here, we will use them 100% for all our dogs and their needs! Added bonus we are able to schedule with the same vet going forward, which is great because they get to know your pet and their personality.

The team handled it like absolute pros and whisked her away so I didn't have to watch the chaos unfold. From what they shared, Cat immediately demonstrated her Olympic-level wall-scaling abilities, but they managed to take care of everything we needed, AND walked me through a clear cost breakdown before doing anything, thank you! However, there should never be a situation where the cat gets out of its carrier and is bouncing around the room. It is, of course, dangerous for the cat and everyone else. The folks that are really expert at handling ferals are the spay/neuter clinics. They service a ton of feral cats, because we TNR volunteers go there all the time. They also charge much less than regular vets. It is extremely helpful to get the feral cats into a double-exit trap too, rather than a regular carrier. It is so much easier for the staff at the clinic. Check out Altered Tails, Midwestern, the AHS, and my favorite, Low Cost Spay & Neuter (formerly AZSpay-- $55 per cat to fix a feral).
