The combined price for parts is particularly inflated." for service alone i would have given five stars. for value alone i would have given one star. i'm averaging these to three. read more

They were recommended by a friend so I called to get an estimate to replace the seal around the drum of the dryer in my rental. Rios came, on time and was cordial (4/28/25). I received an estimate and I accepted the repair cost via email (4/29/25). One month later I did not hear back. Thinking they needed time for to obtain the part and then scheduling. I called and left a message inquiring about repair (5/28-29/25). I sent an email (5/31/25) inquiring about same or just let me know if you did not want to do this job. We had a problem with an older U-Line outdoor beverage refrig. It stopped cooling. We called No. County Appliance Repair based on several reviews.. Pablo, the owner, came out the next day and we thought it needed a new temperature gauge. U-line customer service is amazing and worked with Pablo to get the part. However it still wasn't cooling right. (Meanwhile we had researched replacement refrigerators and they were sooo expensive and not as good.) We pulled out the refrig, which was very hard to do, and found that a mouse had lodged itself in the fan and eaten some wires. Pablo tested the refrig by hooking up a portable fan under the unit and it cooled so he ordered the new fan motor. AND it worked. He was amazing. Pablo never gave up and didn't want to charge us for the final labor to install the fan. Here is an owner of a business who really cares. He stayed with it...very reasonable pricing and told us they don't make em like they used to so try to stay with this one; he was right. This is a wonderful appliance repair service. Our fridge/freezer side by side has been defrosting itself and ruining our food. He let me know what his visit would cost and we quickly scheduled a house call. Paublo was great at letting me know he was on his way during the window of time when we agreed to meet. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and quick to diagnose what needed to be done. We cleaned the coils and as this is typically the fix, we parted ways. After a couple of days, I could see that the freezer was still not doing a good job of freezing food/ice. I reached out to Paublo - again, he was quick to respond and showed up the next day as scheduled. He took the unit apart and we learned that the freezer was leaking freon. NC Appliance Repair overcharged for my washing machine repair. My cold water inlet valve was plugged. I told Rios that I needed to replace the inlet water filter. He said I needed to replace the entire hot and cold water inlet assembly and the cold water filter could not be replaced on the newer washing machines. I kept the old assembly and found that the cold water filter IS easily removed and replaceable. NC Appliance Repair charged me $312 for a repair job that should have cost about $100 for a very easy repair. read more

We needed our Fischer & Paykel oven and our KitchenAid Dishwasher repaired. NCAR was one of the only appliance repair places that would even try to fix the oven. Rios was able to get our dishwasher fixed in 2 visits on the same day (he needed to get a part). He also gave us much needed advice on how to make the dishwasher clean more effectively and which product types would work the best for us. The oven was a greater problem. It took two troubleshooting visits, which we actually appreciated, because he did not wanted to make sure that he ordered the right part. On the 3rd visit, the oven is now working correctly.
