This review is wayyy overdue. The front load washing machine wouldn't unlock and had my clothes trapped inside. We called Michel and he came the same day and within probably an hour. That was already impressive. He was able to fix the problem and it was so simple he thought we were messing with him. l troubleshooted all l could on Google but nothing worked. Ever since day one when I was fortunate enough to find him online he has been extremely knowledgable, professional, fair, and willing to help every single time. My most recent experience was today when our washing machine stopped working half way through the cycle. I texted him and he responded immediately with clarifying questions. I texted Michel this morning and he got back to me within five minutes. He was so honest when I told him the problem with my dishwasher. He basically gave me a step-by-step over the phone with the basics to see if we could clear it so that he would do that and take the time out of his day to help a possible customer fix the problem without compensation. When he diagnosed it, it was something that he could not do so he referred me to somebody that will be coming out to fix it. I thought I had already given Michel an excellent review, but I'm not seeing it on Yelp, now. So, I will repeat, I had a wonderful experience with Michel back in 2016, with my drier, which needed a new solenoid, Michael was responsive to my initial call; he was trustworthy and reliable in fixing my Whirlpool drier at a reasonable price. Recently, the spinning cycle on my Whirlpool washing machine stopped working. Oh, so frustrating. I called Michel to ascertain that he's still in business. He called me back in a timely manner! Unfortunately, because of other ongoing issues at my home with deck repair immediately adjacent to my enclosed laundry room, I'm going to have to wait to schedule the washing machine repair. I very much believe in recycling older appliances when possible, so as not to contribute to landfill issues and excessive waste caused by rampant consumerism and "planned obsolescence." I would recommend Michel to anyone who is in the sphere of where he can travel to do repairs, as detailed on his website. He's a good, honest guy. Michel did his usual great job coming out to repair a newly installed dryer that was damaged in shipment. Rather than wait another 2 weeks for Best Buy to schedule a tech to come out and give excuses why something couldn't be done, we called Michel and for the totally reasonable service call charge of $40, he came out and in 15 minutes had popped out the dent that was interfering with the rotation of the drum. FINALLY found an appliance repair guy that I can trust, but not only that, he's also funny and fun to be around, chatty and interesting. The drawer in my dishwasher fell apart and I called a few places and they just gave me astronomical estimates. Michael got the part number over the phone so I could save the visit charge, then showed up soon after with the part. It was a temporary fix and took him a few minutes so he said, "No charge." He was ordering the part and would have to come back. Forget that! I gave him $40 and he was really happy about that. Iwas really happy to find someone honest! He came back a couple of days later with the ordered parts, took my dishwasher drawer completely apart and we drank coffee and chatted while he worked. Total cost was $150 with the ordered parts and compared to the other quotes, this was a bargain. I will always call Michael when I have an appliance to repair. On his voicemail he says the names of the appliances he does not repair, such as GE refrigerators. This guy is a real jewel and honest as the day is long. read more
