If I could give zero stars, I would. This dealership is unethical, incompetent, and fails to follow through on its promises. Let's start with the sale process, where a truck was advertised on the side of the truck and online with a $10K discount. The salesperson, Nathan Hale, then tells me that I have to buy thousands of dollars' worth of useless add-ons to get the discount. I asked him to send me a picture of where it says I have to do this, and the included photo is what he sent me. It clearly states that these add-ons "can be purchased for an additional cost or removed from the vehicle at the time of sale". Knowing that I could cancel these later and get a refund, I went along with it to get the deal done. After getting the deal done, I escalated to the general manager, Tim Toor, who told me he would take care of the refund IN JUNE. It is late December as I write this review. I have since followed up with him OVER 50 TIMES via calls, texts, and emails over the last 6+ MONTHS to get the refund. At one point, he even told me he approved the check and that it was at the dealership. This has proven to be a lie. Let's move on to the fact that the truck's primary screen didn't work from the moment they delivered it to me. They told me that after an overnight update, it would work. It did work the next day, but a few days later, it stopped working again. I took it in for repairs, and they kept it for 3+ MONTHS! I asked them to replace the screen numerous times, but they refused each time. The service manager, Kyle Closter, even told me the screen was good and that he personally tested it. I drove to the dealership to pick it up, only to be told the screen was, in fact, not good. One of the most insane things was that the salesperson asked me not to complete the GM survey unless it was positive, as it would affect his bonus. After the nightmare of an experience, I shared my negative experience in the survey. He dared to call and text me to say he "lost all of his bonuses for this whole quarter." From the salesperson, to the service manager, to the general manager, this is a dealership that should be avoided at all costs. They're unethical, incompetent, and fail to follow through on their promises. I will be sending this exact review to GM corporate so that they can handle things accordingly. read more

No, I would not recommend this dealership for service. I bought my Cadillac CT5 here and trusted their service department (Andrea) for all maintenance--big mistake. In April 2025, they had my car for over a week to fix an oil leak (no loaner vehicle provided) and charged $1,500 plus a $225 diagnostic fee. Fast-forward to my next oil change, just a few months later, and I was told there's another major oil leak. I had to wait over a week for a new appointment since there were "no loaners available." When I finally got in on September 29th, they diagnosed yet another leak--quoted me nearly $2,000 more, and added another $225 diagnostic fee. This new "leak" is clearly related to the first repair. I met with Andrea and a mechanic who called himself "Kevin," and both were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional--rolling their eyes and refusing to answer my questions. After getting a second opinion, I found out the only leak is from the camshaft, not the lower timing cover, and the original technician never replaced the cover behind the timing belt. When I pointed this out to Andrea and "Kevin," they literally walked away. Between the bad diagnosis, poor communication, and extra charges, this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing dealership experiences I've ever had. I initially trusted this GM service department after bringing in my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 a few years ago for a transmission fluid replacement. I bought this truck brand new, never hauled anything, stayed on top of maintenance, and mostly drove highway miles. Back then, the service team was professional and assured me there were no issues--I left feeling confident in both the workmanship and the dealership's integrity. Unfortunately, that trust is gone. The same shuddering and lurching issue returned, and after a $250 "diagnostic," the only recommendation was a full transmission replacement quoted at over $8,200. There was no acknowledgment of prior maintenance or effort to explore reasonable solutions. I asked for a goodwill claim through GM to help offset costs, which was denied without explanation--despite the widespread, well-documented transmission issues affecting this model for years. Attention to detail and customer service should mirror the quality of work in the service bay. When that care and accountability disappear, it shows. GM and this dealership have failed to stand behind their product or their customers. Unless you have an extended warranty, expect expensive repairs and minimal support. This review is for the service department. If I tell them I need to pick up my kids in three hours for an oil change. My car is not done. I've left my car there while we were gonna be out of town for four days when I come back my car is not done. every time I brought in my car while using Larry as my service person, he promises it will be done in time and it was always a reason why it wasn't done in time. I bring my mom here so I have a lot of experience here. I switch to Andrea is my service tech and she is wonderful but now they are over booking appointments and there are swamped so it's hard to get in to get your car fixed and don't expect it to be done in a short and convenient amount of time. Honestly, I've had so many problems with my car that I'm going to be trading in and going to a different manufacturer. read more

I've had a terrible experience with their service department. A few months ago, my Cadillac XTS started having issues, so I brought it in. They diagnosed the problem as faulty shocks, which were replaced under my extended warranty. A few months later, the car started making noise again. I brought it back, and this time they claimed it was the brakes. Although I doubted their diagnosis, I trusted their judgment and paid around $500. The very next day, the noise got worse. I called Todd and explained that the issue had actually become more severe, and I never believed it was the brakes to begin with. He told me to bring the car back. When I did, I specifically asked them to inspect the shocks and suspension again. After checking, they admitted the shocks were bad--again--and needed to be replaced. Then they told me the water pump was leaking. Thankfully, that was covered under my warranty and was replaced. But after that, they suddenly claimed that the coolant pipe was now leaking. I made it clear that it wasn't leaking when I originally brought the car in. I even told Todd to hold off on repairing the pipe and that I would handle it separately. He then informed me that if I didn't fix it there at their dealership then, I would have to tow the car because the coolant pipe was now completely broken. This made no sense and felt incredibly suspicious. Overall, this experience has been frustrating, exhausting, and deeply disappointing. I feel like I was misled, overcharged, and not treated honestly. It's extremely difficult to work with this service department. read more

I recently had my 2023 Escalade in for service and felt "up sold" to. I ended up paying close to $1000 for some service that the advisor had recommended. After speaking with another mechanic, they were like you didn't need to perform that service on your new Escalade. Lastly I will add that months ago I brought my Escalade in for service on a warranty part and it has been months and still no update whatsoever: I left a voicemail last week and no call back. This place is a rip off and charged me $500 for an unnecessary repair. I took my truck in for a parasitic draw because my battery was always needing jumped. Got a call a couple days later and was told i needed to replace the interior fuse box. Never heard that one before but i trusted them and approved the repair. Picked up my truck friday and had the same problem again that weekend. Called spoke to Scott the service manager and was told to bring it that monday. Wednesday came and got a text from Andrea who said she would reach out to me tomorrow. Well that didnt happen. Friday i went to see what was going on and they were still trying to diagnose the problem. Now we are into week 2. I said im taking my truck to a specialist. Upon checking out my truck the paperwork read there were multiple draws going on in different areas. Well of course because your not getting to the root of the problem. I told Andrea to have Scott call me. Which he did the following day. He was very adamant that the fuse box was a problem. Im no rocket scientist but if the problem is continuing you havent fixed it! He said there was basically no way for a refund because there was a draw at the fuse box and it was repaired. Of course everything electrical is going to have a draw because your not finding the root cause!. I took the truck to a specialist and it was diagnosed in a day. There was a GPS tracker on it from a previous dealership that was causing the problem. I had it removed and everything has been great. I tried several times to contact the General Manager Tim who ignores me. I reported them to the BBB and they ignored them too! read more

My husband and I both have first year model cars that have known issues with them. Unfortunately we had to diagnose the issues ourselves through years of searching online forums for a solution and locating the service bulletins because the service department here is lazy and dismissive. I was told numerous times to try something I already tried or that the issue can't be recreated. Turns out the fix is a simple $40 part. Our visit was 3/24/24 at about 12:45pm for reference. We are looking to purchase a new car so thought we'd stop at 3-4 dealers today to start our shopping and purchase experience. First and foremost, don't let the name fool you. If you want a GMC you are good. Cadillacs are a bit different story. Yes, they have a reasonable number of cross-overs but only 2 sedans. And how do we know they only have 2 sedans? Well, we saw the CT-5 V when we pulled in (beautiful) and after walking around that we were curious if they had any more. My wife walks into the showroom, walks past the receptionist twice, who couldn't be bothered to look up from her cell phone, and saw the other sedan in the showroom. Adding that to the model in lot makes two. So, self-service dealer with lackluster customer service. My advice, find another dealer, even IF you're looking for a GMC truck. read more

I was really interested in purchasing the new GMC Canyon Denali advertised on their website with the asking price clearly matching the MSRP. I visited North County Buick Cadillac GMC and took a test drive in an Elevation trim with Brian in sales and he was great. He let me know they had a Denali coming in later in the month and called me when it arrived on the lot to take a test drive. Brian was out the day the Denali arrived, but Navid was kind enough to take me out and I loved the truck. The problem came when the Sales Manager came to talk with me and told me that they aren't selling their trucks at MSRP because of the high demand. He then gave me the actual out the door pricing that included $8k dollars in add-ons, extended warranty, and GAP insurance. GAP is offered because the price with the add-ons makes the truck not worth what you pay for it when you drive it off the lot and your insurance won't cover the replacement if you get in an accident. He also showed me an interest rate that looked like it included a 2% dealer hike for arranging financing. Now, I don't have a problem with dealers asking for add-ons or even presenting you with an extended warranty or GAP insurance if it is all optional and clearly stated. They actually have supplemental stickers on all their vehicles that mention the options and do clearly state that they are optional and can be removed at the time of sale. The problem was that the sales manager I dealt with did not want to honor the asking price on the website or the vehicle supplemental which clearly violates Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e). Thankfully I was able to catch the issue before I had my credit run. The sad part is that I would have purchased the truck at MSRP and maybe even added the alarm if they discounted it enough. Totally baffled at the ethics of dealers these days, especially in this state with the laws we have on the books. Yes, I know a lot of dealers have been getting away with this during the shortage, but a lot of them are still playing fair. Please do your research, get preapproved from your credit union, and shop around. If you are trading in then run it by Carmax before you go to the dealership, so you have a second option available. I'll probably be holding off until next year when the playing field is a little more even and I'll definitely be using a dealer that is not playing these games. If Brian and Navid weren't so great, I'd file a complaint with the DMV and the State Attorney General's office. ***Update Brandon Kimberlin one of the sales managers (not the initial one I dealt with) was kind enough to reach out to me this week to try and attempt to resolve my complaint. He was apologetic and explained that the owner installs the options on all the vehicles coming into the lot and that the other fees that were presented to me on the out the door price like the extended warranty and gap were only supposed to be presented as options and not the final price. I don't think what was presented to me was done accidentally, but I did appreciate him taking the time to call and discuss the issue. Anyway, he mentioned discounting the truck for me but said that he couldn't do anything until the truck was on the lot. I told him I was still angry about how I was treated after my test drive, but I appreciated him reaching out and to call me when the truck came in since it would give me a day or two to get over the disappointment with my last experience. He agreed and told me that Navid would give me a call when the truck arrived. Unfortunately, that call never came and the truck appears to have been sold, so it looks like there isn't anything left to do to resolve the issue. It said drive to your destination and then take it in for repair. We had to drive 150 miles not going over 50 mph on freeways. The next morning we called North dilemma. We brought it in the next day. Larry Shoebridge, service advisor, went above and beyond. The transmission mechanics discovered it needed a part that would take seven hours to install and had to be shipped from Michigan. We thought we were going to have to spend many more days than we had planned on. Thanks to the great service. They found a way to get the part the very next day and another day later, the truck was completed, running great. The car was there for 2 full business days and they did not even get to it. There's a reason these guys have the worst customer rating of the 3 San Diego area Cadillac dealers. Very disappointing experience. Bought a new Escalade and the sales guy, Anthony, starts out super friendly and accommodating. He offered to coordinate various services to upgrade the car after sale through the dealership, specifically stating that it was better to do it through him rather than elsewhere because "the dealership would be on the hook if anything goes wrong." He then extended that same offer to a second new vehicle (purchased elsewhere but which his boss was apparently "desparate" to get into the showroom). Work on both vehicles was contracted through the Cadillac sales guy to off-site subcontractors. I should have immediately known something was off when Anthony started asking me to pay subcontractors directly and get money to him, but all of this was coordinated and business conducted on the dealership lot. It then got very strange when he began outrightly asking for tips, noting that "sales have been slow this month". Sure enough, when things started going so sideways, Anthony disappears and the dealership completely backs away from anything to do with it. When they say "don't trust a car dealer", that goes with extra measure here. There's simply no reason to risk doing business here - go to Carlsbad or MKB instead. read more

Exceptional dealership to do business with. Called in for a test drive and they accommodated me with only a 30min heads up, had the car ready to go by the time I got there. They offer a stress free buying environment without being too pushy. They are also very direct and don't waste a lot of time trying to upsell anything or shotgun you into just any vehicle they can push off the lot which I can really appreciate. They're also willing to put the time in to close a sale without trying to rush you out either, giving a very well rounded experience from the sales floor to finance and everything in between. After the test drive I was able to complete everything online and over the phone. We got figures going without having to be there and completed all negotiation through text in a timely manner and met in the middle at a great price for both sides, streamlining a very historically time consuming process. Once I confirmed that we would be moving forward with the purchase they got the majority of the paperwork completed on their end. They also had the car thoroughly detailed and topped off long before we even arrived to collect it. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. Bottom line, this dealership is very accommodating, easy to work with and exhibit excellence towards customer satisfaction. I worked with Chris Stahl and Brandon Kimberlin. I'll definitely be doing business here again. Side Note: Their vehicle acquisition team offers the same great experience. We had sold a car to Nick a couple months back and he went out of his way to get us a great offer. Went in for an oil change I set up a week ago. The service person was no where to be found. Another serviceman said he'd go look for him out back. When my service person finally decided to come in and help me he was on the phone which was unprofessional. He asked me what I was there for, really !? I stayed an oil change and he went about his business on the phone typing away not saying how are you or anything else. Once again very rude and unprofessional. He also asked which buick was mine. I guess I don't fit the profile of an Escalade owner. Needless to say he didn't say much more until he had me sign the agreement and asked if I would be waiting for my SUV. Upon my vehicle being serviced he attempted to make small talk , but he had already ruined my morning. I would have given one star, except I did get a complimentary car wash I didn't get last time I got my vehicle serviced here. I will go somewhere else to get my vehicle serviced from now on. Bought a used car from north county gmc about 4 weeks ago. Today I got it washed from a detailer for the first time and I get asked "what happened here?" And they pointed towards the a-pillar... hugeee wear mark all the way through the paint. The detailer said as soon as they put soap on the car that spot became exposed. I have pictures of the vehicle from when I bought it up until like a day ago and it was not there.. so the dealer put some kind of wax / temporary paint cover over the scratch that just washed off when it got soap on it.. super shady.
