My experience with NCT has been nothing less than incredible! I started working with them back in October 2021 when I started my renovation. My project quickly became a whirlwind of challenges and obstacles that I would not have been able to overcome without the help of NCT. They came out to my home multiple times to help select the best product for my spaces and offered genuine and helpful opinions when it came to aesthetic and functionality. Tucked away off of Twin Oaks in San Marcos is an impressively clean showroom of the premium tiles you're looking for but can't seem to find anywhere else. The customer service was precisely what we were looking for. Nasha greeted us warmly each time we visited and answered what seemed like a hundred questions with thoughtful responses and ideas for improvement. It was absolutely no pressure and we took our time deciding on the tiles, even taking a few series home to review. All said and done, we can't thank Nasha and her team enough. She understood my design style right away and had great suggestions, letting me borrow samples to bring home until I found the perfect tiles. It's like working with your own personal designer. I visited this place on a few occasions in 2020 as I was looking for products to remodel my powder bath, laundry room and flooring. I ultimately put a halt on the first two projects for the time being; however, I went with another flooring product that they do not provide. Nonetheless, they had a great selection of products to select from; moreover, I did reach out to their references for general contracting and flooring. If you are a married couple who can't agree on home design concepts, this is the place to go! Nasha and team will come to your house for a consult and navigate the tricky waters of getting you two to agree and really like what you choose! After sending pics of the areas we wanted to work on, I went to the showroom to pick out some samples. The staff is very skilled at moving through options very quickly (I get overwhelmed by too many choices). I took samples home for the hubs to look at and Nasha came to our house a week later to help finalize the selection and scope of the project. Nasha is particularly good at estimating the costs of different options on the fly, so she is even doing the hard math while you're debating hardwood/tile choices like it's a forever life altering decision with your spouse. We got through the selection process smoothly (avoiding some of the crazy ideas my husband had). I appreciated how considerate she was of our budget as well as being non-judgmental of how thrashed our old flooring was. The team's communications are very seamless so whoever you get on the phone is familiar with your project - you really feel they are just as excited as you are to finally be tackling this project! I worked with Nasha as I had done another project with her years ago, but I felt confident that any of the other staff members would have given high quality design consultation. One more thing - I asked Nasha to pick out a stainless steel sink for our laundry room as a one-off. She did a quick measurement and said she would take care of it. The plumber who did the installation was complimentary of the brand and said it was one of the few instances where the fit was perfect. So happy to save the time, hassle, and worry of picking out a sink, not to mention the money if I chose the wrong one. When I walked in the door, nobody greeted me. I wandered around aimlessly for about 10 minutes (very hard to do in such a small store)...still no service. I seemed to be the only customer there, so it shouldn't have been a difficult task to help me. I finally walked out after I heard an employee talking about social media. Apparently, they tried Facebook, but it didn't work for them. Strange. How would they know whether or not it is working if they don't even acknowledge the presence of their customers??! The first time I walked in I met John. I told him I had a problem with my backsplash in my masterbath. I asked if he had any cuts of granite in his shop. I got lucky, he had a few peices big enough to work for my project. He sold it to me at a discounted rate. It looks really good in the bathroom now. The second time I went in, I needed tile for the hearth and surround for my fireplace. We looked at marble and other tile. To make a long story short, John gave us the best price for the tile and I looked all over the place. I went to several cities, and priced tile and marble in about 10 different places. Today I went in to pick it up and it looks good. John went out of his way to help us out, and we were not buying a lot of tile. He treated us like we were just as important as any other customer. I worked with Laura at North County Tile and Stone and am very happy with the service I received. We ordered tile for a kitchen backsplash and decided on a handmade tile in a custom palate. There were a lot of shades and finishes to choose from and being custom, there were not samples of the exact look I was trying to achieve. With Laura's help, I chose a combination of the tile options that I thought would provide the look I was going for. When I got the order, half of them were not what I was expecting and I was pretty worried - the tiles weren't inexpensive and the backsplash is the focal point of the kitchen so I really wanted to be happy with it. Laura listened to my concerns and was very professional in her approach to solving the problem. She creatively came up with a new plan and communicated with myself and the tile manufacturer to achieve the vision that I had. Even though we had a great contractor, the renovation process can be long and stressful. Even when I was a bit anxious about my disappointment with the initial order, Laura kept her cool, assured me that she was committed to making it come out right and delivered in the end. After searching many stores, we found our wood plank tile flooring here, which was light years more amazing than any other wood tile flooring we'd seen. It is evident that the tile selections Nasha chooses to stock in her store are top in style and perfect in price. We purchased our flooring tile, our backsplash tile, and all our cabinet hardware. We overwhelmingly feel like we got the very best quality we could find but shockingly at the same price as the competitors. Working with Nasha and her crew was effortless. Any question was answered promptly and they all really went out of their way to help make the process as smooth as possible. Absolutely phenomenal customer service. We are remodeling and have a baby who hates the car, so driving anywhere to look at "house stuff" has been a challenge. I have therefore done most of my research online and happened upon a great bathroom picture with a lovely floor tile. I asked where it was from, hoping that just maybe someone could help me out. North County Tile and Stone responded right away and I have been blown away by their wonderful customer service. They are super responsive, understanding, and were willing to help me by sending me a few samples. Their pricing also seemed very competitive. I had previously tried communicating with a couple of other tile stores, and they would either charge an arm and leg for a sample or not respond at all. Barbara and team are amazing. I purchased Travertine tile at this place on July 6th. i found the tile for much cheaper at another location. and tried to cancel this order 7/5 just under 30 days. The stone was never picked up and asked for a refund informed them that there was no clear wording that one could not return the merchandise after 14 days. the owner was unprofessional saying "too bad girlfriend". They get to keep the stone and my money. Very unprofessional!!! read more

(They had given me the cost in writing at a prior meeting so this was not a surprise. They are honest and very transparent.)
