I came today and this new guys in charged on weekends I guess they don seem interested on getting work today! They send me to their other location in Melrose and the guy said I'm alone and I will take me 4 hours to get it done and I don't have material. This newer gens are a joke. They do a good job on the tint but they don't know how to quote accurate times. I called in the morning guy over the phone told me to come in at 1 I got here at 12:50 I was told for the front windshield tint would take 1 hour and a half once I got here the guy told me 2 hours. Was already an hour in and I asked will you guys be getting it done in the next hour and proceeds to tell me it's going to be another 2 hours. I've already waited here for an hour so I decide to stick around but they really need to get better at quoting correct times especially of you call and they give you a time to come in and then proceed to not completing it in the time they tell you. read more

Honestly, these guys were referred to me by my brother-in-law. He gets his tint done there, and they always do a great job. Was my stuff functional yes. Was it done correctly? No. I had a light bar, backup camera, new Sony radio installed. Everything worked, but they literally cut an oil line and had to fix it. Which ruined my plans for the entire day because it took them over an hour to fix the line. They then proceeded to do a terrible job with the trim installation and the wire management as seen in the pictures. The brake release isn't even seated properly and gets stuck every time so now I have to fix that too. I was probably better off doing the work myself. I had to repair the brake release by cutting back part of the trim and making some space. Took a hand saw and cut back some of the plastic on the grill to even it out. And the only reason I took the truck back was to get the electrical for the light bar fixed exposed with no zip ties and just electrical taped the connections together. I am very upset by the quality of work and the attitude of the employee who did the work (I didn't get his name). He didn't apologize and kept blaming me and trying to act like what happened was ok and his work was ok. He said and I quote "I was rushing to get the work done so that's what you got." Yeah thanks for the rush work. Will never come back or refer others to come here. Stay away if you value your hard earned money! read more

Hi I'm a 31 yr old pregnant amputee woman. That went to a North County Window Tinting in Oceanside CA. To get an audio system done to my Toyota Camry. I'm currently a medical assistant and had saved up to get my dream system. I went to North county window tinting Dec 23 2023. To get my audio system done and 3 weeks later I blew out (the system stopped working) I called the shop and they told me they would "fix it" I went and they "fixed it" only so it can blow out again about 3 to 4 weeks later. I called them and let them know that this was not ok and that I would need my money back. Meanwhile I took my car to two other places to get different points of view of why this happened and both places let me know how much of a horrible job North County Window Tinting did. Not only horrible but dangerous for mine and my unborn child. The wiring in the hood of my car was not placed right risking for for the wires to set on fire with the heat of the motor and bursting into flames while I'm driving. I contacted the shop that did this to my car and they said they can't give me my money back only fix it. I told them I didn't feel comfortable or safe letting them touch my car. They gave me the owner Alex number because he said he would talk to me. I tried calling him and texting him only to be ignored by him. I was in a terrible car accident where I lost my left leg in 2012 so knowing that I was risking being in another accident while pregnant as well is very terrifying. I don't know what to do to get my money back. The total of what that shop charged me was $3,300.00 plus now that I've gotten quotes to repair the damages they did to my car will be $1,200.00. I went into further investigation and this shop has been doing this to plenty of people and never answering or fixing the issue. I work very hard for my money and it's hurtful to see how people can be so cruel and take advantage of that. I have audio text and tried calls to this shop. As well my receipt and the cost of repair for everything they did to my car. Court proceedings are also on its way as well. I hope no one goes through this because it is very bad and dangerous putting people lives at risk like this. read more

I had had them wire up my subs I paid around $500 for everything. Leave my truck for couple hours then go to the other shop they have in vista where they do all the installation. Come to the guy in the garage he's telling me he doesn't know how to by pass from my radio. Also not to mention my seats don't even go down because where he put the amp is hitting it second of all how am I suppose to sit my family when the seats won't even go back down. Not to mention all the trash they left inside my truck along with boxes on the back of my truck. Super fucking pissed. I seriously do not recomend anyone. Took my truck to a better audio shop. I decided to finally upgrade my car stereo so I could use Android Auto and I first started at Best Buy (I just left a review of them moments ago, it wasn't pretty). After getting nowhere with them. I left and checked out a few other places ending up at North County Window Tinting. Albert was a great guy, he went over all of my options, explained the differences in stereos and didn't nickle and dime me.The price I got quoted was so much less than Best Buy that I decided to splurge and also get my windows tinted and it still came to LESS than what "Best Buy" wanted to charge. Plus they did an amazing job both on the stereo and back up camera installation and on the window tinting. I should have checked this place out first since my boss gets all her cars tinted here and she highly recommended them. I went in today to get my windows tinted, and let me start off by saying the customer service was excellent! Before going in I didn't know much about window tint but they kindly explained to me how window tint worked. They explained to me that the lower the percent of the tint, the darker the tint was. The higher the percent, the less dark it is. Not only did they patiently explain how it worked, they brought out a sample of each of the types of percentages they had to offer and helped me pick one out for my vehicle. Other than the service being friendly, so were their prices! Before coming to North County Window Tint, I compared prices to other tint shops, and let me tell you, North County Window Tint has the friendliest prices! Once I received the car back I was stunned, it came out exactly as I imagined it! Overall my experience with North County Window Tinting was great! I went in to make an appointment to get my front two windows tinted and got upsold into getting my front window tinted, (which I never even though of). I came back the next day and they had my car for like 5 hours. When I got in my car the front windshield was wavy and bumpy looking like I had been drinking when I tried to look through the center of it. I was told it will dry and be fine and it would take a day or so. When I went to drive away a warner sensor came on and I told them it wasn't like that when I dropped it off. They looked at me like I was crazy. I told them I would take it to the dealer and see what they say. They told me that they covered a sensor with the tint and they needed to take it off. I went back to them he told me that he heard of it happening in Fords but not in Honda's I told him my car is 3 mths old and they messed it up. He told me he would take it off the front windshield but would not give me back any money because they did the work. I told him it was his job to know about the sensors and if they didn't try to up sale me this would not have happened. He took the tint off and the sensor want off and has not been back on since. So I essentially paid $441.00 for two windows which is insane. He could have at lease offered me $100 back for their mistake. I have been to them two other times with other cars but I would not recommend them again to anyone now will I have my sister take her car there. They are shaddy and their business practices are shady. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANYTHING UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!! read more
