This shop is located towards the back of the plaza on Oceanside Blvd. It is the plaza with Chipotle, Jersey Mike's, Enzo's BBQ, Hand car wash, and 88 Ranch grocery store. They have a large banner that specifies auto tint, but just wanted to ensure I specify their location as some may miss them. This review is a bit overdue as I've had multiple vehicles for window tinting at this location. My father found this location, and the owner (male) has been very quick and efficient, and always does a great job. Since then, my family and I always take our vehicles to this store when we need our windows tinted. I recently purchased a new vehicle and needed my windows tinted, so took my new vehicle to him. I'm usually pretty hesitant that my vehicle will get damaged as it had been at another vendor years ago... but I trust the owner and the other gentleman who also works here. They inspect for any damages prior to start and are careful with your vehicle (both inside and out). He also tells you his honest opinion rather than for money making desires. His ceramic tints are excellent! Trust me, they may cost more, but they are definitely worth it. I've had different tints, and ceramic ones are the best! Also, the other places use too much adhesive and it stains my windows, but this place doesn't do that. Prices are also fair! He is always willing to work with you for a reasonable price. Great work always, and very quick yet work is always excellent! Some times in the summer, scheduling an appointment would be best, but other times you can walk in and request for same day service and if possible, they get it done. Will definitely return here again even if I have to drive a few hours! I highly recommend! read more

Updated Review Per the shop's recommendation, I took my vehicle to Tesla for a full inspection of the windshield. After evaluating it, Tesla confirmed that the lines in the glass were caused by external forces -- most likely excessive heat -- and not by any manufacturing defect. They were very clear that there is no scenario where the vehicle would have left the factory with this type of damage. Because of that, the replacement was not covered under warranty, and I had to pay $1,535 out of pocket. Here's what this experience has cost me: * $300 for the original tint * $150 for tint removal -- which I was never informed would be charged, and they only told me I "owed money" after removing it * $1,535 for a new windshield due to damage caused during their tint installation That's almost $2,000 lost, and I'm left with no tint, a brand‑new windshield I had to pay for myself, and zero accountability from the shop. To make matters worse, the owner laughed at my wife during the conversation. That alone tells you everything about the level of professionalism you can expect. If you choose to get your tint done here, understand this clearly: If something goes wrong, you will get no support, no responsibility, and possibly even disrespect. Shield X had the best price for a windshield chip repair. I drove over & it was repaired while I waited. I have not had a chip repair done before but I was disappointed it is still visible & unsightly. Fortunately it is above my eyeline so not in my field of view while driving. Hopefully the repair will stop any cracks from developing. But next time I will try a windshield repair specialist even if it cost ~$30 more. read more

Just got a brand new windshield from Shield X! I was recommended to this place and went with them because of their pricing being perfect for my budget. Called ahead to have them order and they had the windshield less available to install less then a week. I arrived with no approximate appointment time. They told me to arrive sometime in the morning. Which I arrived around 9:45ish the taken back for service immediately. Great service and only took an hour. So fast and excellent service!!. The gentlemen of Shied X are always respectful. Although it is convenient for me being x2 doors away from Excel JiuJitsu (my extended family), Shield X product quality is also top notch. We discussed the different SunTek options: Classic Composition, High Performance, and Ceramic. There's also this model to help demonstrate UV penetration for each. I chose ceramic since my goal is to limit how much heat I can feel from sun-rays. 3 cars so far. I'm sure I'll be bringing my next vehicle back to them. Highly recommended. read more

His team is also helpful. They went through what I needed vs. didn't need. Some cars have factory tint, but they don't have the UV protection. I decide to get what I got on my last car which is the crystalline series. You don't have to get this all over, but I did because I drive daily and I'm in the suns path often; also because I have people in my car often. It's good in preventing skin cancer or giving you peace of mind if you have had it. The cost is reasonable; they do a fantastic job and the ceramic tint lasts a really long time. You cannot tell it's on your windows, but you can feel the extreme difference between having it and not having it. An easy 15-20 degrees cooler in direct sun. I swear by this business and their products. They also do wraps and coating and other types of things like that. I haven't used those services, but I am sure they do a fantastic job with them. After 2 years the PPF on my doors started to come off. So I came back here and asked them if they could fix it. Right away this guy named Mike said that the PPF only came with a 1 year warranty and if I was looking to get something fixed for free I could forget it. He was very rude and disrespectful. He was acting in an aggressive manner and and kept saying, "We are not going to fix anything for free". He was very immature and disrespectful. The person that installed my PPF was Luie. But he wasn't there that day I was dealing with immature Mike. So I left. I took my vehicle around the corner to Tint World and I told them what happened here at Luxury Image. They took a look at the PPF on my doors and right away they pointed out all of the flaws my PPF had. They couldn't believe that they installed the PPF in that manner. They explained to me that nothing was wrapped correctly. They simply put it up against the edge as far as they could go and cut it. They gave me a great deal on all the doors and rockers. Don't waste your time coming here to Luxury Image. They should change their name to Lying Luie & Immature Mike. There are plenty of other places with better prices, better product, and better customer service. Not to mention 10 year warranties. This place only offers a 1 year warranty and Immature Mike acting aggressively.

Chris explained my choices in detail and was very thorough. He helped me make a clear decision on what's best for my need. He promised the window tint would be done by the end of the day. He also reviewed how to take care of the tint immediately following the service work. He mentioned small bubbles are normal and will disappear the next day. Which they did. I'm really big on seeing vivid colors and I appreciate the quality work he did because now I could see beautiful colors through my windshield. I was also pleasantly surprised with how much heat the tint blocks out of the car. Especially during the summer time. Expected a little more attention to detail for such a task/price. If you need tint in a rush with appointments asap, this is your spot but maybe an earlier appointment may have helped vs later in the day with the clean up.
