It was quoted a tiny bit high but still around the competition (most quotes came out to $180-280), but was completed higher than competitors in the end. That being said, I don't know if the actual price from competitors would have been higher than their quotes. For transparency here, I paid a $65 service fee plus $55 per house lock. The mailbox was a higher charge at $125. I was quoted $200-300 (probably assuming 3 locks rather than the 4 I ended up needing); it came out to about $410 plus tax. The result is the same. I have a fully rekeyed home and mailbox. Service was excellent. The vehicle was well marked and the Johnny was very professional and easy to work with.

We put in a "request a quote" via Yelp, Capital Locksmith responded within a couple of hours, a locksmith came out the same day and made a diagnosis. She ended up needing a completely new mechanism because it jammed and he drove out to a Toyota dealership the same day to get the part and returned promptly in order to put it back together. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the gentleman that assisted us. He was quick, direct, and efficient. As anything that comes with the fear of getting something with your car fixed, we were terrified of being cheated on pricing. Once he provided a quote, we were able to quickly confirm with our local mechanic via phone call that it sounded legit. That is because, as most of us know, going to a locksmith can be quite costly. It is that way, I believe, because locksmithing is a profession that requires specialized training, licensure, and insurance. This past week I had a need to have a duplicate "smart key" fob programmed to my recently purchased new, used vehicle that came with only one fob. Against my better judgment and with the hope of saving some money, I purchased a "ready to be programmed" fob off of a popular auction website. The fob itself was noticeably lighter than the OEM fob and was considerably cheaper; like $175 cheaper. Anyhoo, I took my Chinese-made, reverse-engineered fob to Advanced Locksmith to have it programmed. Before going, I called a received a quote from Gage one of the shop's technicians. Upon my arrival, Gage promptly went to work! While in the process of attempting the programming, and after the programming failed, Gage involved another technician, Nebiat. As the efforts to program my fob met with additional failed attempts, Nebiat and Gage explained one of the pitfalls with purchasing fobs over non-OEM websites is, that sometimes the fobs are locked from being previously programmed and therefore not usable. Much to my dismay, I believed my fob to be just such a fob. With that, Nebiat offered a new fob purchase from Advanced Locksmith. One that Nebiat assured me would accept the programming. Of course, purchasing this new fob would be expensive and I was not looking forward to having to pay so much money on such short notice. Nebiat was very understanding and was kind enough to offer the fob at a discount, for my being a veteran of the armed forces. I was prepared to purchase the new fob when Nebiat offered to try the programming of my Chinese-made fob once more. As he attempted the programming, he recognized the problem to be with my truck having already programmed into its memory, the maximum number of fobs. Nebiat was then able to clear the computer's memory of programmed fobs and successfully program my cheaper fob! Yaaay!!! I was elated and grateful for Nebiat's willingness to go the extra mile and put customer service over profit. Thank you Nebiat and thank you Nebiat and Gage for giving me a great customer experience to share on this platform with my fellow Yelp*ers!! Repaired it instantly and fixed an issue with our gate that prevented it from closing all the way . He worked quickly , efficiently and you could tell he knew his stuff. As he was leaving he asked if there was anything else ... there actually was .... A door issue in our shower the was preventing the knob for locking it in place . He too fixed that .
