We live right around the corner from the restaurant and we came here to try it out last week. The waitress was very attentive and when we told her we were sharing everything, she brought out the entrees already seperated which was very thoughtful. the cavatelli was amazing, very cheesy and the short ribs was nice and soft. the prosciutto bruschetta was mediocre, i was not order again. i also would not order the grilled branzino again because the fish was dry and overcooked. I am giving 4 stars only because the waitress was very thoughtful. i think if i were to come back again id try more of the pasta dishes or pizza instead of their seafood. Another concern i had was in the kitchen. when I walked back towards the restroom, I saw many workers were chatting, WITHOUT A MASK, in front of where the pasta was made. It made me kind of uncomfortable especially because the windows are clear and you can see the restaurant kitchen very easily and i cant just ignore what I saw. I came here for my birthday dinner. My boyfriend had made the reservation ahead of time with the notation that we were celebrating a birthday. Throughout our entire visit, there wasn't any mention of that birthday note listed on the reservation. When we arrived, we were seated right next to one of the computers. At this location, when the servers aren't busy, they are visibly seen standing around talking. While we were trying to enjoy our meal, we were listening to a very loud conversation, one that was appropriate when trying to enjoy a meal. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. While I understand wanting to catch up with co-workers, I hope this review prevent future experiences like ours, as this was a ruined birthday dinner that could've been prevented. read more

Delicious food. My waiter was attentive and friendly. Casual dining atmosphere though it can become loud depending on time you decide to go. I have been twice, once in Chandler and once in Scottsdale. Both times have been a wonderful experience. Appetizers are the way to go! White truffle garlic bread is savory and delicious truly recommend! The prosciutto asparagus toast (forgot the name) is superb, calamari was good however for me it needed more seasoning! Ive been looking forward to trying this place. Today we went for a late lunch. The environment is great and the restaurant is super cute. We started with beef carpaccio. It was good although it's hard to screw up beef carpaccio. I cannot eat gluten so I told her to hold the bread and she offered to bring gluten free bread. I thought we were off to a good start until the bread came, it was so hard to eat. It was just baked GF pizza crust. It had a good taste but it was so hard to eat. My husband had the chicken parm. He said it was above average. My son had the kids spaghetti and meatballs, he didn't like the meatballs. My daughter had a grilled cheese and fries. She said it was ok but she didn't even eat half of her sandwich. My other daughter had a Caesar salad and she said it was good. I ordered strozzapreti which is a strange name for a dish since it's a type of pasta and I ordered it with GF pasta so I actually didn't order strozzapreti at all. Anyway, I digress. The dish had chicken, roasted mushroom, spinach, toasted pine nut, and a parmesan cream sauce. It was average at best. The service was not good. As a matter of fact, my family talked me into giving a three instead of two. So the waitress walked up to the table and I was explaining to my husband that strozzapreti was actually a type of pasta and my kids later informed me that she rolled her eyes at us having this conversation. She forgot to bring the bread for the family and had to be reminded. We also had to ask for refills. She kept trying to refill our drinks with water. I was drinking soda water and she came around with a pitcher and topped of my soda water with regular water, I ended up paying $3 for half a glass of soda water. She just didn't anticipate anything. I was expecting better service for sure. My husband and I decided we will give it another try because it is a really cute place and I want to try the pesto. I'm hoping it was just an off day and the next time will be better, I will let you know. read more

I'd like to add that this is my new favorite place in Gilbert! The full experience was great. First, consider that we went Christmas Eve. We took our daughter out to eat as a special treat since the house can get quite noisy with all the holiday activities. I made reservations on Open table and were able to walk right in and get sat. Our server was great. She was friendly and quite knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. She brought tasting of a few she recommended for our dinner. We tried the Super Tuscan, North Italia and a Pinot Noir. All were good but we went with the Super Tuscan. It was bold but smooth and paired perfectly with our dinner. Our starter was the always reliable calamari which was quite good. The batter used made them very crunchy and light. They sat in a bed of arugula with lemon... it was soo good! Dinner was chicken parm, "the pig" pizza and I had the wagyu skirt steak. We also order a side of spicy broccolini. All of them were very well made, flavorful and came hot to the table. The polenta with mushrooms was my favorite. The only thing we took home was the pizza my daughter wasn't able to finish (it was enough for 2-3). For desert we had gelato and tiramisu with a cappuccino. It was the perfect ending to our Christmas Eve dinner. We will definitely come back again! I'd like to add... that I enjoyed the ambiance. It was a rainy night and the lighting & big windows made it look "holidayish". There was low volume music on which made having conversation pleasant even though it's an open space. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly and pleasant to work with. However the the drinks and food were expensive for the quality. The Chicken Parmesan was burnt and dried out. The Spicy Sausage rigatoni dish had maybe a quarter of a sausage in the dish and my wife's dish was not very flavorful. The eggplant appetizer was great tasting. Wow! One of the best meals my family and I have had in awhile. Service was attentive but not pushy. The vibe is casually elegant. We started with the truffle garlic bread which was good and came out quickly. For the entree.. I mean... pretty much any time a restaurant is serving short rib, you get the short rib!!! It's like one of the 10 dining commandments. I had the short rib entree and it was perfection. Tender, great flavor, the mascarpone polenta was creamy and perfectly salted. Definitely do not hesitate. My very picky son also enjoyed his chicken pesto. My husband ordered the branzino entree which he said was delicious but I was too busy oo-ing and ah-ing over my short rib so I could barely hear him. All that is well and good but the reason I had to stop and write a review is this - For dessert we got the butter cake. It was red velvet with vanilla gelato and raspberries and little chocolate crunchy things and WHERE HAS THIS DESSERT BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! I pretty much never want another dessert EVER. Nothing could top that. Our waiter said they are changing the menu next week and it will be replaced with something more seasonal. Me & my childhood friend had a reservation tonight at 6:15pm. Hostess said she would be with us shortly. See big parties and small parties getting seated from left to right. Didn't say nothing at all until a small party which was only two like me and my friend saw another couple get seated in front us which we had been standing for an hour and 7 minutes. Hostess never checked us in, mind you again didn't complain saw everyone get seated before US especially those that kept walking in, etc. go up to the girl in some long blue dress with glasses, acting all "surprisingly when I told her wtf is the seating problem??. Johnny the waitress grabs me and my friend sits at a table with another couple which was whatever. Get drinks, etc. food came out late when others that got seated after us got their food earlier than us. Wasn't tolerating it especially after my friends and family have been here before and it was my first never got this type of treatment. We came into this resturant to have a late lunch at about 2:30 Sunday afternoon and the service was very poor. We ask for a manager to talk about the experience we had and he said I notice that you waited longer than usual about 30 minutes and So it obviously took to long and she the waitress never filled our water and we had to ask to get more water. The waitress never apologized the guy that said he was a manager said he's way of making everything okay was to say after I said the food tasted great he said it takes time to reach perfection. So all the food at the other tables next to us didn't get perfection because their food only took 15 minutes to get to them. Both the Manager and the waitress must had never work in a customer service before because neither one of them said I'm sorry about how you felt about the service you received and I want you to come back so can I give you a desert a gift card or a discount to your bill. When you ask to speak to a manager in a food service place your goal should be to get the customer to come back I will not be back and I don't recommend this resturant to anyone. read more

Yeah atmosphere is amazing here. The ambience is great and having drinks with your friends is a lovely experience but the food just isn't that great. The truffle garlic bread would be the one big recommendation with their pesto chicken coming up behind it. I've tried their scallops dish, the sandwiches, the burrata appetizer, the shrimp, and bowtie pasta. Celebrated my boyfriend and aunts birthday here and the staff and food were great! We have a newborn and the staff accommodated our seating preference. We didn't want to sit by a bunch of people with our newborn and they made sure to seat us in a area we felt comfortable. We loved the enclosed patio area. It wasn't too cold or too hot. We had a heater right above our table which was perfect for the kids once it started to get later in the evening. Our waitress was amazing. Super friendly and attentive to our table. On top of the great food, in celebration of my aunt and boyfriend's birthday they then pick any dessert off their menu for free. We'll definitely be returning back. What an outstanding experience! Our servers Brandon and Alan, introduced themselves and were personable and knowledgeable. The menu was diverse and everything looked delicious. We went with Brandon's recommendations, chicken parmesan and strozzapreti . It is by far the best chicken parm I have ever had, not overloaded with sauce and cheese and perfectly cooked. The strozzapreti was also excellent. The portions are very large, so come with an appetite, split with someone, or take home some for a complete second meal. We just had lunch here today and enjoyed everything we ordered. Our waiter, Daniel was so friendly and helpful with the menu. We also noticed a manager that jumped into action when an employee broke a wine glass that flew into her face. She immediately checked her face and eyes and then took her to the restroom to wash up.
