What a night, reservations for 4 at 6:45 and wasn't sat until after 7pm which wasn't a big deal for us. We've been long time Firebirds customers. Use to visit the Chandler location weekly 12-14 years ago.. even told our kiddos that tonight when we brought them here. Problems started as soon as we got our food. All the food came out besides our son's children's steak, was told they had to cook another one. As we were waiting for his steak, my husband noticed his steak wasn't a ribeye like he ordered. He suspected it was a NY Strip Steak. About 7 minutes goes by and manger brings our sons steak. My husband asked the manager if his steak looked like a NY strip to him and manager replied "yes, I think we have the best NY Strip" and my husband nicely replied, I didn't order a Strip, I ordered a Ribeye and told the manager it was fine, he would eat it still and still tasted good but didn't want to be changed for a Ribeye since he got the strip wrong. ($12 difference) I got the firebirds bacon chicken pasta with steak instead of chicken and no tomatoes and green onions. Well.. there was def tomatoes and onions and no bacon. And I was changed $30 for pasta and steak.. that wasn't even made the way I asked. Well my son's (late) steak was suppose to be medium and it was rare. By the time the server came back my son was eating some of my husbands steak and my pasta so we just asked the server to take his meal off the check because it was late and cooked wrong. She said it was absolutely cooked wrong and insisted to bring him a new steak as well as take it off the check. She even asked him to put his steak on a plate and "she'd throw it away and they'll make him a new children steak." Well manager comes back and tell my husband that his steak was in fact a ribeye (it was def not a ribeye.. no marbling whatsoever) and dropped off our sons steak.... It literally was the pieces we had cut up that they just threw back on the grill. Even pieces our son chewed and spit out when it was rare and too chewy for him. Like GROSS!!! They did take the children's steak off the check and gave us a free dessert( which we didn't even want, we would have rather paid the correct amount for my husbands steak...) The waitress was fine, none of this was her fault because she read us back what we ordered and had it all correct.. but she fell short as to getting us refills (never even offered a 2nd round of wine or beer) and when it was time for the check we gave 2 gift cards $50 each and our card to pay. She brought back our copy to sign and she only took off 1 $50 gift card. We had to call her over and she realized she didn't use both giftcards and had to void our card and redo it. The managers were busy the whole night talking to upset tables. This location really needs to get their stuff together. Again, nice to offer dessert but truly all we wanted was to get what we paid for and how we asked for it and tonight wasn't it. We ordered the Steak Penne and a Grilled Sirloin with a side of fresh vegetables. The grilled sirloin may have been the only good thing about our visit. The steak penne came with 5 pieces of steak and the sauce was very watery. The service was not the best either. We came in 5 minutes before our reservation and were waiting until about 10 minutes past our reservation (despite the fact that we reserved and had a two person party). Our waiter was unable to bring us water before the hostess gave us plastic to go cups of water, and did not take food orders until about 10-15 minutes after we received our drinks. Our waters were not refilled and we were not spoken too or checked on after we got our food. The reason we gave the restaurant stars was because of the ambiance. It is a very upscale casual restaurant and it was comfortable. There were also places for us to wait inside. Unsure why this experience occurred during weeknight dinner when it was not as busy (maybe relating to staffing?). We went to the location at the Chandler Mall in the past and enjoyed our experience and the food better at that location. We will be going to that location from now on. read more

We came here a few years ago and weren't quite sure why we didn't return sooner--possibly because of the long wait for our food. Nevertheless, we decided to give it another try. This time, the wait was shorter, though still noticeable. That said, the food was absolutely chef's kiss! We ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop--grilled pork chop with sticky hot honey, fresh pico, and charred carrots--and also had steak and shrimp, both cooked to perfection. It was last day of restaurant week so I decided to come here for their set menu. The service and ambiance were amazing. We all enjoyed the prime rib as our main course and the crème brûlée cheesecake! My black diamond tasted great. But my prime rib came with a lot of fat. I asked the waitress how big is the steak and it was 13 oz. I think mine came with 4 oz of fat. Not sure why the chef thought I like eating fat? I did love my steak. One of our favorite places to go for a good steak! Husband and I both had the filet mignon. They have two sizes. And he got his with the blue cheese/bacon wrapped fillet. Also comes with port mushrooms so good.! Our friends had a ribeye steak which he said was fantastic and she had the pecan crusted chicken and loved it! The atmosphere is very dim lit and peaceful. The staff were extremely kind as well. The food was ok. I got a Caesar salad, which was absolutely incredible with the garlic ranch. My steak and potatoes were pretty under seasoned though and I found myself reaching for the salt and pepper throughout most of the meal. The bacon butter didn't add as much flavor as you'd think, but wasn't bad. Excellent cut of juicy meat though, and it was cooked perfectly, so that's something worth noting. The creme brulee cheesecake was pretty tasty as well, although not much caramelization on top, just really thick sugar glass basically. Not a huge fan of the Hershey's chocolate syrup, but that's just me. All in all, it was a tasty meal. I just wasn't as blown away as I thought I'd be. read more

Firebirds in Gilbert, Arizona was an absolute surprise--in the best way. I went for my birthday dinner, and I can't believe I had never heard of or eaten here before! The bacon deviled eggs were phenomenal, packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The loaded baked potato was also phenomenal, rich, hearty, and done just right. My steak was cooked perfectly, exactly to order, tender and flavorful. My husband got the same thing but, got the Parmesan mashed potatoes instead and said they were delicious. The only small downsides were that it's kind of dark inside and the kids' hamburger could've been more flavorful, as it didn't seem very seasoned. That said, neither took away from how great the overall experience was. It made for a wonderful birthday dinner, and I'll definitely be back! read more

We went here this Thursday for the first time. Our server Alyssa was so helpful in exploring the menu and she even brought out a sauce tester for my husband to make sure it wasn't too spicy for him. (He had already expressed he's not a fan of spicy) I got the steak and frites which they said was a new menu item that started yesterday. Boy, am I glad I would eat it every week! 11/8/25: still superb. My sister wanted excellent food to celebrate the big 5-0 mile marker and Firebirds was her choice. It did not disappoint. They added peppers to the creamy deviled eggs but luckily they were not IN the eggs, just laying on top (easily picked off & discarded). The tomahawk pork chop was excellent seasoned, the au gratin potatoes were a bit crusty on top (could have done w/o that) and the grilled street corn was cold (not sure if that is normal ... ?). My sister enjoyed her prime rib immensely. Despite my crunchy taters & cold corn, it was still a wonderful meal. Our server, Danielle, was polite & attentive. No complaints there. This place is awesome for a date night. My boyfriend took me here and it was a good experience. We had the deviled eggs and bread as an appetizer which was warm and good. I had the steak and pasta which fell very short of my expectation for such a place. There was no flavor to the pasta at all and my food was barely warm. We knew it was going to be a minute & we were pleased when the 40 minute quote ended up being more like 20. The hostess was sweet & personable. She led us to a table in the bar area next to the fireplace. It was a decent spot, but the table hadn't been wiped down & was all sticky. The hostess apologized & quickly took care of it. We took our seats & it didn't take long for our server to greet us. He was friendly, introduced himself & took our drink order. I guess I was expecting something a bit higher-end. It was more casual, family & group oriented. Our waiter filled us in on a few things & got us our drinks, but then disappeared for what seemed like a very long time. He did mention he was new, I always have patience for that -- I've been in his shoes -- I asked about the salmon & he left again to research its origins... Farmed was the verdict. We ordered our starters & meals. Salads were fine. My man had the prime rib. It was more fat than meat. My filet was cooked properly -- medium-rare, but my mashed potatoes were dense & quite paste-like. I "borrowed" some au jus from my man. My plate, lackluster, with no garnish. I was cold the whole time. The wine was tasty. It took a while for the check to come & was pricy considering the quality. I don't think we'll need to go again. The food, the vibes, the service, all chef's kiss! I heard great reviews for Firebirds from others and finally got a chance to experience it myself, and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious with impressive portions. I recommend the Ranch Rings as a starter. I don't normally care for onion rings, but I really enjoyed theirs. The Firebirds Chicken Pasta has a slight kick of spice, but it wasn't overpowering (impatiently waiting for the next visit so I can have this pasta again). Others in my party had steaks and burgers--heads up that the burger is huge! Definitely worth trying, and expect a hearty meal. Don't forget to save room for dessert! They are shareable sizes; I'd say a good size for 2-3 depending on how big your sweet tooth is. The lemon cake blew me away--that blueberry sauce is a wonderful touch for flavor. Carrot cake was also a winner in my book. Not pictured but deserves a shout-out is the chocolate brownie sundae--it can get a little rich/sweet after the first few bites though. read more

We've been to dinner a few times now at Firebirds and have had a good experience. Usually during the weekdays, if you go earlier there's no wait but it does get busier as evening comes along. We've been seated around the bar area when we've gone, which is fine but they have outdoor seating too for the cooler months. Between my husband and I, we've had a variety of items. My favorites have been the items from their happy hour menu - nachos, crispy cauliflower, and garlic parm fries. My husband has also gotten a burger & steak different times and enjoyed them both. Met a group of friends at this spot for our annual holiday happy hour! We usually find a spot at the bar so we can take advantage of the happy hour menu. No visit is complete without one of their special Double Black Diamond pineapple martinis, it's sweet, pretty to look at and delicious, they're always garnished with pineapple. If you haven't tried one .. trust me you should. On this visit we shared the prime rib sliders with crispy onions & horse radish. Yum! The beef sliders, chicken nachos and crispy cauliflower with a sweet Thai sauce. Everything was delicious. Happy hour runs from 2-6, they have a great menu. It had been quite a few years since my last visit to Firebirds where I found my experiences there to be somewhat less than perfect. I visited this last week and found things very much more to my liking! In the past, I found the restaurant to be too noisy to conduct a conversation with more than four people at a table. On this last visit I was seated in the covered patio area which was much quieter and much more enjoyable. I'll be sure to ask for that area going forward. Though the food was tasty and the drinks well crafted, the best part of my recent visit was the service that my party received from Alyssa Kate. Good service is something you should find everywhere but often don't. The service my dinner party received from Alyssa was absolutely top notch. She was prompt to greet us and take drink orders and actively followed up when one of the drinks arrived later than the rest of the group. She knew the menu and could make recommendations for those of us who asked for them. She was very attentive without " helicoptering". Most of all, she was both charming and friendly yet very professional. Our group agreed that Alyssa must have many years of experience in high-end restaurants because her performance was flawless. Based on what I perceived to be a better environment and excellent service I look forward to returning to Firebirds in the very near future. read more

The food was ok- very underwhelming for a nearly $300 bill. Broccoli was mushy and overcooked the mashed potatoes were bloody from the steak juices runny all over the plate and my steak was overcooked and dry even after asking for medium well. Another medium well steak at the table was cooked perfectly but soggy fresh fries. The table has 2 ceaser salads and the portion sizes in the bowls were not equal. Overall, not impressed with the food quality, presentation or flavor. Not very likely we will be back especially after our tummy's started grumbling and feeling yucky. read more

WOW, WOW, what has happened to my once favorite place?? For the last three times we went to Firebirds, we noticed a decline in food quality, changing waitpersons, and more. Each time, we had food that had to be returned due to it being cold or odd. I discovered that Firebirds had recently been acquired, and I think as the new owners tried to recover their costs, they started lowering the standards. Do note that last Christmas, I bought $500$ worth of gift cards for presents and some for our personal use as well. That won't be repeated this year. The service was just fine-- courteous and fast. The atmosphere was very nice-- quiet and the ambiance perfect I ordered the "small" rib eye steak and believe me, you couldn't cut it with the steak knife.. the baled potato cold and butter wouldn't even melt in it. I still have one 100.00 $ gift cert to use there -- I don't look forward to it read more

First time visiting this place. I knew nothing about the type of food or pricing before going in. Holy cow. Sticker shock on the menu pricing. The smokehouse burger was significantly undercooked, based on how it was ordered. The meatloaf had a taste more closely resembling Salisbury steak. An order of wings came out to nearly $3 per individual small sized wing. The water was the best value of the whole dinner. 2 stars because the mashed potatoes were flavorful, the server was pleasant, and they didn't kick us out before we were finished, even though their closing time had passed before we could finish. I have no intentions of returning, unless I know my wallet is not coming out of my pocket. Not only because of the pricing, but the quality of the food will prevent me from even getting a second chance on my dime. read more

A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited Firebirds for dinner. Since I had recently undergone surgery, I needed to sit in a booth for comfort. We were greeted by the hostess and informed her of the table we preferred in the bar area. She seemed a bit unenthusiastic but told us she would have someone clean it and asked us to wait. After sitting for quite a while, no one came to clean the table, and we overheard the same hostess give our table to another couple who had just arrived. At that point, my husband requested to speak with a manager. Seth, the bar manager, came over quickly, seated us, and then listened attentively to our concerns. He went above and beyond to make things right. Seth was approachable and made sure our dining experience from that point forward was exceptional. He had Riley serve us, and she was fantastic! She was so kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a small issue with part of our order, but before we even had the chance to mention it, Riley had the dish remade and brought it back to our table promptly. We've been loyal Firebirds customers for years, enjoying the food and cocktails, but now, we'll continue coming back in hopes of being served by Seth and Riley. read more

This is our third time trying this location, and every time we hope it's going to be better. I will give the waiters credit, the service is always top-notch. Everything the weight staff can control they do fall asleep, but the food always takes too long, today it was 63 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food, which was tough since we had our three kids with us. The food just lacks flavor, tastes very applebees. Not sure why, but there were tons of fans inside everywhere, even though this location was freezing cold. With so many great restaurants nearby, I think Firebirds needs a revamp. read more
