I'm sad this was my first time but I can share it won't be my last!! A time was had for a girlfriend brunch with delicious Italian foods, drinks and ideal service. Emily was excellent! Welcoming, extremely knowledgeable of the menu when discussing recommendations, attentive, prompt in fulfilling any dining requests and she made our dining experience comfortable throughout our 2+ hrs stay. Apps: All beef Italian Meatballs and Calamari Entrees: Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Pesto Sliders with mixed greens & side of marinara Dessert: Banana Caramel Butter Cake * scratch kitchen and made to order entrees allowing substitutions The meatballs, made of angus beef sat in marinara, polenta and grana padano cheese. The cheese was a delightful bold contrast to very well blended meatballs. It wasn't extremely creamy polenta but melted enough to eat along with the meatballs. By themselves seasoned goodness. Calamari was all rings, battered which was a different breading than I was used to but very good with both sugo and calabrian aioli provided. The portion was standard restaurant quantity but of course rings are honestly premium. Chicken parm plated along side parmesan rigatoni had crispy breading flavor with provolone and mozzarella atop. Every bite was savory. I needed a little salt on the rigatoni. My friend said her sliders were good too, even though the bread may look stiff, it was soft, she wanted the side of marinara for more moistness. We shared the dessert.. the butter cake was divine. One of the best butter cakes I've had. Not enough caramel so I hogged a lot of it with the ice cream & bananas. All of food was scrumptious! read more

I ordered the Agnolotti al pomodoro, and the creamy ricotta filling made it absolutely delicious. My only small tweak would be the portion size--it could have been slightly larger given the price vs what others got, but the flavors were spot-on. Others at our table got the Strozzapreti, a heartier pasta packed with chunks of chicken, mushrooms, and a rich cream sauce. It looked incredible, came with a generous portion, and earned rave reviews. The sangria is also definitely worth ordering! One practical tip for future diners: if you're eating around sunset, be prepared. When several out-of-town teammates visited, I picked this spot--and they immediately won points before we even walked through the door. Accommodating a group with multiple strict vegetarians can be tricky, but when I called ahead, the manager assured me they could make almost any dish vegetarian-friendly. We had a decent-sized group seated toward the back. The room is open, clean, and lively, but we could still hear each other without shouting. Our server paced the meal nicely, giving us plenty of time to catch up over drinks and appetizers without feeling rushed. The stuffed olives were surprisingly tiny--cute, but I usually hope for the jumbo-stuffed variety with a dirty martini. Next up we dove into a bunch of shared apps. The spicy broccolini and mushrooms were solid, but the calamari stole the show. It was light, crispy, and delicious, especially paired with the spicy marinara and garlic aioli. Most of the table loved what they ordered. I went with what they called "the Valentine's Day special"--seafood cavatelli. The pasta itself was cooked well, but the dish fell flat on flavor. It took a heavy dose of parmesan, cracked black pepper, and salt to wake it up and give it some life. Atmosphere Note If you're seated facing the large side windows during late afternoon or sunset, be prepared. It's close to our house so we've been there several times. Our favorite thing is the patio as long as it's not a super hot day because their patio is on the sunny side. The takeout pizza is good. The meatballs are delicious. It's a busy spot so sometimes the service isn't super quick. But it's worth the wait. read more

OUR SERVER WAS SO NICE. also her nails matched her shirt and that was so slay. she ended up putting the wrong pasta in and ended up comping it at the end. i didn't know that everything was made from scratch in house so it was really nice to be able to take the meat out of all the pastas so the restaurant is VERY vegetarian friendly and allergen friendly. north has a patio and i need to come back and have a cocktail there. overall the inside of the restaurant is pretty and most diners were somewhat dressed up. they do have a bar if you are looking to just have a cocktail. read more

This location is in a shared plaza with several stores and other restaurants. We were a larger group and got a reservation a week in advance but we didn't really need it. There is lots of natural light,, high ceilings and an open feel. Our waitress was great and efficient. After taking our order, she was great with checking in and refills. We had a few different courses. I liked the zucca chips with the pesto sauce. It wasn't something I would normally order but it really enjoyed it. I got the spicy vodka dish with the gluten free noodles and it was yummy. The portion size was the perfect size. A quick little date night. This place has it all. I think I have reviewed the place before but I can't find that review right now. We walked across a parking lot that was being resurfaced... lost one star for that. The vibe of this place is awesome. Just feels homey yet classy enough for a date like the one we were having. The Ambiance gets 5 stars. The gal at the front was incredibly busy, yet very nice. She was stuck on the phone for quite some time attempting to help someone with their reservation. Unfortunately, she didn't get help till after we had waited 5 minutes. But, still 5 stars. The food - Katie got the salmon (typical) that was amazing! One of the best we have ever had out. I got the short rib (also typical), which was again quite amazing. My wine was a very good Malbec from Argentina. And our dinner again rated 5 stars. North italia has been up there on my list to try and I finally made it for a friend's birthday. I saw the squid ink tonnarelli on the menu and knew I had to try it as I had a similar dish in Italy and still think about it! This was a great dish-- super flavorful! My friends had the chicken Parmesan, strozzapreti and trottole chicken pesto, and all enjoyed their meals. The food was delicious and the space is great. I only knock off a star because we had made a reservation and had to wait over 40 minutes for our table because it was very busy. They don't have a time limit on reservations so many tables were there for a while-- we still had a great time but it did delay our night a bit, so we were glad that they included bread for our table as thanks for waiting. I was not as impressed as some. Being of Italian heritage I can honestly say the food was average at best. Pasta should come with bread and not being offered cheese to go on top of the pasta was shocking. I brought my son to try it out and to have a nice evening and Leslie H, our waitress made me feel as though we were not as important as her other tables. We did not even have water glasses, no water, I observed this as well as being handed a dessert menu while still eating our smaller than usual pasta dishes. Eh.... What can I say about North? That it really hit the spot on a wonderful day in OP. After running a few errands, my partner and I were nearby, and I suggested North be use he had never been--it was the best choice we made! The service, ambiance, and food were perfect for a sunny afternoon. Since it was great outside (and around 3pm), we got our choice of spots outside on a Saturday (FYI by the time we got to leave, around 5:30, it was very busy--make a reservation if you go at peak dinner times!). We ordered an aperol spritz and their pomegranate mule--both hit the spot, and my partner got a second pomegranate mule, demonstrating the deliciousness. We ordered the bread and olive oil (soooo goooood), the shrimp scampi, and the arancini for appetizers. All were so delicious and really flavorful! For an entrée to split, we got the lumache Della Norte, which was definitely out of my normal type of pasta. It was creamy and good, but wished there had been a few more (or larger) pieces of sausage to taste them a bit more! This place features a nice upscale interior and incredible Italian fare, along with some very intriguing cocktails. My partner and I sat outside on a gorgeous day and the outdoor seating was awesome, they've got umbrellas to keep you shaded and a great space to make you feel comfortable. The small plates we had were our bread with olive oil which was truly delicious, we couldn't get enough of it. We also had the shrimp scampi and the garlic with the tomatoes and parmesan made for incredible bite. We devoured it. The arincini was also delicious and creamy, highly recommend. The lumache pasta was pretty good, the pasta was definitely al dente so it had some depth to it. The sauce was delicious, the sausage pieces were quite tiny and a bit limited. I thought the dish could've used some more of the sausage overall. Overall our meal was excellent and I will definitely be back to indulge on some incredible dishes read more

North proved me wrong, and I'm not even mad about it. We started with the garlic bread. This is hands down one of the best things I've tasted in a long time. I would return just for this bread alone. We started with the Caesar salad to share and a 8 oz of the moscattoo. they split the salad between two plates without us even asking which was thoughtful. UPDATE I returned to get another portion of the eggplant Parmesan. This time I got it to go. The eggplant was cut much thicker and not fork tender. Still tasty and the sauce was good but I was a tiny bit disappointed There were four of us eating tonight. I had the eggplant Parmesan, a Caesar salad and some of their Zuka chips. The eggplant Parmesan was by far the best I've ever tasted. Surprisingly spicy but crispy on the edges and not the least bit soggy. Cooked until it was fork tender. Probably the best I've ever had. The Caesar salad would equally good. Delicious croutons topped the salad with just the right amount of dressing and extremely fresh lettuce. The Zucca chips were delicious. My only comment would be that I tasted the oil a little more than I wanted to. I'm speculating perhaps the oil wasn't quite hot enough when they were cooked, but the flavor was delicious as was the texture. The service was great... Not intrusive and not neglectful. This was my first North Italia visit, and the food was incredible. I was there Monday night during Happy Hour, which wasn't terribly busy. Even with the dinner rush, it never felt crowded. Busy, yes, but not the uncomfortable, "Why are these tables so close? This stranger is in my bubble." kind of crowded. The service was great, and our waitress was so kind and helpful. Once the lights were dimmed for dinner service, the mood was perfected. The Zucca Chips were recommended, and I easily could have had twice as many as I did. My main goal for the foreseeable future is how to replicate that recipe because it was the perfect blend of crunchy and flavorful without feeling like oversalted chips that leave you feeling gross. Zucca chips are a win! For my main meal, I got the Trottole Chicken Pesto. I wavered between that and the Chicken Parm or the Spicy Rigatoni. I was pleasantly pleased with my choice, and the toasted pine nuts and capers were the ideal topper for this dish. I would absolutely come back to this location. I am rarely compelled to leave a review, but today I have to pass on my experience at North Italia!! Things started off slow and not too promising, sat in the dining room and did not really get acknowledged for about 7 to 10 minutes when we finally did, we were notified that happy hour was in the bar only so we moved ourselves to the bar. The experience at the bar was phenomenal!! Received service from a young man with shoulder length hair and an amazing young lady. They checked in with us multiple times, but not too much to be pesky, the young man offered amazing recommendations, a couple next to us had flowers the young lady offered to place the flowers in water during their meal!! My companion and I shared a pasta and the young man had the kitchen split it into two bowls without us asking. The food was delicious the service was outstanding and the restaurant was clean and had great music playing. The young lady talked to us about her time at the U.S. open which is part of the fun of sitting at the bar!! They were personable and had great attitudes!
