Ordered: The Newporter (~$7): pistachio, honey, sea salt latte Aya's take: Springline coffee is located right on Bannisters Wharf and I found myself here for an afternoon pick-me-up. It's pretty easy to miss but you will likely see a line. I got The Newporter which was one of their specials. I had low expectations since pistachio syrup often tastes chemically to me. It tasted a bit watered down and the espresso wasn't super bold but I was surprised that the flavors actually came through, from the sweetness from the honey & pistachio and saltiness from the sea salt. The location is incredible we sat out there for like an hour just enjoying the weather watching the boats listening to sounds of the coast! I'd come back over and over to sit there. I got the ocean ave which was banana cinnamon latte it was good I would get it again but I'm sad bc I came hoping to get the newporter but it wasn't on the menu :( I would've given 5 stars if I could try that, but my fiance just got a hot caramel latte and it was phenomenal, I wish I would've gotten the ocean ave hot maybe read more

Springline Coffee is the definition of a hidden gem, nestled on Bannister's Wharf far from the maddening crowds of the central part of the district. If you can find the shop, you will be rewarded with curated coffee blends, excellent matcha, and a selection of locally sourced snacks for your sipping and nibbling pleasure. I personally love their coffee, and find their retail bags to make great gifts when traveling. I always bring a bag as a hostess gift for coffee loving friends, and recently brought some to Nantucket to visit my boyfriend's boat this summer and everyone loved it. They will also grind the beans to order at Springline, which makes it super easy to take home and use. The staff are young and friendly, however, don't let that fool you- they make fantastic drinks and are uniformly knowledgeable about the menu and can offer great recommendations if needed. Seating is limited, although if you can snag a table, you definitely should since the views are excellent. They do not provide straws at Springline, and use sip-cup lids instead. Any coffee lover should absolutely add Springline to their list for a Newport caffeine break! read more

I had the newporter coffee and I don't think there's been a coffee that was more perfect for me in my life. It was a combo of pistachio, honey and sea salt caramel. Like how delicious? The girls that helped me were amazing! Ava and Bella were friendly and personable and helped me choose the perfect drink! The location of this shop is unmatched. Whether it's a perfect summer day like when I went yesterday, or on a cloudy winter day, there's nothing nicer than enjoying a coffee right on the water. The shop is super tiny, but the line moves quickly, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. You also can grab your drink and enjoy Bowen's wharf. Cute little spot very centrally located. We didn't grab any food, but we did grab a couple of coffees and waters because it was a warmer day out. The service was on the slower side, but the guy that was working. There was so helpful and nice that it was totally fine. We sat outside where you could be close to the water and sit in the sun. They have some spots in the shade, but you can also sit in direct sun so you have the option depending on the weather. Would definitely be back if we need to grab a quick coffee. read more

Springline coffee is awesome! First, this is the"NEW" coffee shop at this location. It's on the very end of the wharf. It's past the Pearl and little shops.The coffee I believe is their own brew. It's flavorful, bold, and smooth. Unlike the old place, the prices are very reasonable. The lady behind counter could not have been sweeter. The outdoor seating has wonderful views . The kids had coke. We also ordered three slices of lemon pound cake. All the items were fresh, delicious, and convenient! There are a few outdoor seating areas available. It's dog-friendly. On our way to Cape Cod we stopped for a short visit to Newport, RI and while looking for a caffeine "pick us up"mid-afternoon, we found Springline Coffee at Bannister's Wharf. Was looking for a good flavored coffee for something different and the barista told me the caramel apple butter with vanilla chai latte was a great seasonal choice. She was right! On a sunny but chill in the air kind of day, it hit the spot. Hubby enjoyed a regular brew. The cutest coffee shop in the cutest location - but needs some work! Staff seemed very confused through the entire process, specifically about their specialty drink called "The Touchdown Taylor" or for short "The Taylor". Maybe the staff were not informed of the drink but they seemed to think that all Taylor coffees ordered, were for a non-existent orderer named "Taylor". Springline gets PACKED too, and the setup makes it difficult to pick up drinks (I suggest that they have a shelf they slide the drinks out to outside, so that nobody is waiting inside for their drinks during the warmer seasons. Aside from the "Taylor" issue, the bakery items were amazing, and the view was unbeatable. On a pier so lots of water views and people watching too. Definitely a must-visit, but know that the staff are not the most experienced, so you're paying more for the view than you are for a good cup of coffee. read more

The card reader took a really long time to process the person who ordered in front of us, so the barista went ahead and took our order and then typed it in a few minutes after we had ordered...leading to one of our drinks being made incorrectly.
