    Ocean ave seasonal latte
    Shannon H.

The location is incredible we sat out there for like an hour just enjoying the weather watching the boats listening to sounds of the coast! I'd come back over and over to sit there. I got the ocean ave which was banana cinnamon latte it was good I would get it again but I'm sad bc I came hoping to get the newporter but it wasn't on the menu :( I would've given 5 stars if I could try that, but my fiance just got a hot caramel latte and it was phenomenal, I wish I would've gotten the ocean ave hot maybe

Springline Coffee is the definition of a hidden gem, nestled on Bannister's Wharf far from the maddening crowds of the central part of the district. If you can find the shop, you will be rewarded with curated coffee blends, excellent matcha, and a selection of locally sourced snacks for your sipping and nibbling pleasure. I personally love their coffee, and find their retail bags to make great gifts when traveling. I always bring a bag as a hostess gift for coffee loving friends, and recently brought some to Nantucket to visit my boyfriend's boat this summer and everyone loved it. They will also grind the beans to order at Springline, which makes it super easy to take home and use. The staff are young and friendly, however, don't let that fool you- they make fantastic drinks and are uniformly knowledgeable about the menu and can offer great recommendations if needed. Seating is limited, although if you can snag a table, you definitely should since the views are excellent. They do not provide straws at Springline, and use sip-cup lids instead. Any coffee lover should absolutely add Springline to their list for a Newport caffeine break!

Amazing little coffee spot with speciality coffee. Fun beauty that you should come too.

I had the newporter coffee and I don't think there's been a coffee that was more perfect for me in my life. It was a combo of pistachio, honey and sea salt caramel. Like how delicious? The girls that helped me were amazing! Ava and Bella were friendly and personable and helped me choose the perfect drink! The location of this shop is unmatched. Whether it's a perfect summer day like when I went yesterday, or on a cloudy winter day, there's nothing nicer than enjoying a coffee right on the water. The shop is super tiny, but the line moves quickly, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. You also can grab your drink and enjoy Bowen's wharf. No matter what, you'll be happy you checked out Springline!

Cute little spot very centrally located. We didn't grab any food, but we did grab a couple of coffees and waters because it was a warmer day out. The service was on the slower side, but the guy that was working. There was so helpful and nice that it was totally fine. We sat outside where you could be close to the water and sit in the sun. They have some spots in the shade, but you can also sit in direct sun so you have the option depending on the weather. Would definitely be back if we need to grab a quick coffee.

Springline coffee is awesome! First, this is the"NEW" coffee shop at this location. It's on the very end of the wharf. It's past the Pearl and little shops. The coffee I believe is their own brew. It's flavorful, bold, and smooth. Unlike the old place, the prices are very reasonable. The lady behind counter could not have been sweeter. The outdoor seating has wonderful views . Being at the end of the wharf it has great views of the harbor.

Amazing views, amazing coffee! It is a quaint little coffee shop perfect for when you are shopping around the area. I'm quite picky about my drip coffee, and it was brewed great. My only complaint is that this shop was hard to find as the location was not popping up on Apple Maps. Will be back again!

It's a lovely place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee. We stopped by during an out-of-town visit and it really elevated our trip. I had a Bellevue Latte with raspberry puree, dark chocolate, and espresso. My friend enjoyed her cappuccino. We also enjoyed the coffee cake and peach tea. One woman working really made us feel welcome and shared some of the best recommendations with us. Thanks for the hospitality!

The staff is always friendly, the coffee is consistently delicious (and strong!), and the seasonal menu never disappoints. Thanks to their monthly specials, I've become a cold brew lover (instead of iced lattes) and always look forward to seeing what's new. Whether I'm meeting friends for a casual catch-up or a "work" meeting, there's always a perfect spot to settle in, both inside and outside. What makes Custom House even more special is their commitment to the community. Their recent giveaway with Friends of Newport Skatepark is another great example of how they continue to give back. Thank you for being such a wonderful community staple. I did a Google search and saw that The Coffee Guy was close to me and that they had a variety of beans that they roast in house. I stopped in to the shop and walked up to their display of bags of coffee beans. The owner introduced himself as well as the staff. They were all very friendly and knowlegable. I made my selection and brought it to the counter to purchase. They also serve coffee and pastry but this trip I just wanted the beans. They offered to grind them to whatever courseness I wanted, but I prefer to grind them at home. A pound of coffee averages $20 and they have a frequent buyer program (when you reach purchases of $100, you get a $5 credit. This is tracked so your purchases accumulate). They also deliver to the area on Wednesday's if you order online by their Tuesday Night deadline. I have tried this and my coffee was on my doorstep before 9 that Wednesday. Very convenient. Lastly, the store is not that big with not much room for sitting (I honestly can't remember if they had seating.) However, if you are looking to source your beans or grab a cup of coffee on the go, this is a great option.

They really encouraged us to keep sampling, which was great because I feel awkward sampling too much. No shame here! We tried some very tasty balsamic vinegars. My favorite was the ume, or Japanese plum. It was very sweet! The oils were good, too, but I only sampled a couple because sampling oil without bread felt weird. We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. This time, we ordered some food and I have to say, they do that well too! I like that you can order a half bagel. Is it worth the money? Not really, but I prefer not to waste food so I love this option. The Half Lox Bagel was amazing! The everything bagel was fresh, slight crispiness from being toasted, and not too chewy. The charred scallion cream cheese paired so well with this although I don't think the "charred" flavor really came through for me. The lox was fresh and I loved the classic toppings (cucumber, red onion, capers, dill). The Full Farmer's Bagel was also a good try and you have to appreciate their house-made cream cheeses. Where else can you try spicy sun-dried tomato cream cheese on a rosemary salt bagel? I enjoyed the Iced Caramelized Banana Latte the day before and knew to get it again. I added the Vanilla Bean Float this time which made it creamier and sweeter - honestly, it didn't need it at all. I understand the hype and would totally recommend trying it if you're in the area!
