The location is incredible we sat out there for like an hour just enjoying the weather watching the boats listening to sounds of the coast! I'd come back over and over to sit there. I got the ocean ave which was banana cinnamon latte it was good I would get it again but I'm sad bc I came hoping to get the newporter but it wasn't on the menu :( I would've given 5 stars if I could try that, but my fiance just got a hot caramel latte and it was phenomenal, I wish I would've gotten the ocean ave hot maybe

Springline Coffee is the definition of a hidden gem, nestled on Bannister's Wharf far from the maddening crowds of the central part of the district. If you can find the shop, you will be rewarded with curated coffee blends, excellent matcha, and a selection of locally sourced snacks for your sipping and nibbling pleasure. I personally love their coffee, and find their retail bags to make great gifts when traveling. I always bring a bag as a hostess gift for coffee loving friends, and recently brought some to Nantucket to visit my boyfriend's boat this summer and everyone loved it. They will also grind the beans to order at Springline, which makes it super easy to take home and use. The staff are young and friendly, however, don't let that fool you- they make fantastic drinks and are uniformly knowledgeable about the menu and can offer great recommendations if needed. Seating is limited, although if you can snag a table, you definitely should since the views are excellent. They do not provide straws at Springline, and use sip-cup lids instead. Any coffee lover should absolutely add Springline to their list for a Newport caffeine break!

The girls that helped me were amazing! Ava and Bella were friendly and personable and helped me choose the perfect drink! The location of this shop is unmatched. Whether it's a perfect summer day like when I went yesterday, or on a cloudy winter day, there's nothing nicer than enjoying a coffee right on the water. The shop is super tiny, but the line moves quickly, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. You also can grab your drink and enjoy Bowen's wharf. No matter what, you'll be happy you checked out Springline!

RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Challenge got me to Bannisters Wharf on a rainy July day. It was so quiet in Newport today. I got a white chocolate cold brew. Coffee cake and Blueberry Coffee Cake looked AMAZINg-def will try next time I go. Monthly specials sounded delicious. Such a cute spot down near the boats. I was meandering down the wharf one foggy morning and smelled Springline before I saw it - since I always have room for more coffee, I popped in for a caramel latte and a French toast muffin. Delicious! And sitting on a misty dock in a cozy sweatshirt before most people are up is - well, there's not much better. This will definitely be a repeat stop next time I'm in Newport. read more

Great place for a quick breakfast and coffee to take away. The service is quick, efficient and the coffee is excellent. I ordered a regular coffee with cream, and my husband had a latte. The kids had coke. We also ordered three slices of lemon pound cake. All the items were fresh, delicious, and convenient! There are a few outdoor seating areas available. It's dog-friendly. Enjoy the sea breeze, the harbor, and the charming shops. read more

On our way to Cape Cod we stopped for a short visit to Newport, RI and while looking for a caffeine "pick us up"mid-afternoon, we found Springline Coffee at Bannister's Wharf. Was looking for a good flavored coffee for something different and the barista told me the caramel apple butter with vanilla chai latte was a great seasonal choice. She was right! On a sunny but chill in the air kind of day, it hit the spot. Hubby enjoyed a regular brew. Great service, baked goods on the side, and a nice indoor'ish-outdoor patio made for a great stop! read more

The cutest coffee shop in the cutest location - but needs some work! Staff seemed very confused through the entire process, specifically about their specialty drink called "The Touchdown Taylor" or for short "The Taylor". Maybe the staff were not informed of the drink but they seemed to think that all Taylor coffees ordered, were for a non-existent orderer named "Taylor". Springline gets PACKED too, and the setup makes it difficult to pick up drinks (I suggest that they have a shelf they slide the drinks out to outside, so that nobody is waiting inside for their drinks during the warmer seasons. Aside from the "Taylor" issue, the bakery items were amazing, and the view was unbeatable. On a pier so lots of water views and people watching too. Definitely a must-visit, but know that the staff are not the most experienced, so you're paying more for the view than you are for a good cup of coffee. read more

The card reader took a really long time to process the person who ordered in front of us, so the barista went ahead and took our order and then typed it in a few minutes after we had ordered...leading to one of our drinks being made incorrectly. There is much better coffee to be found in Newport. $3.95 buys you a cup of average, burnt coffee with a spectacular view. If you don't stay for the view, all you're left with is an unpleasant taste in your mouth. read more

We came back the next day and ordered 3 of the matchas. It is veteran owned and they offer military discount. I'm a little sad there isn't a location close to me because it would easily be my to go coffee shop.

I did a Google search and saw that The Coffee Guy was close to me and that they had a variety of beans that they roast in house. I stopped in to the shop and walked up to their display of bags of coffee beans. The owner introduced himself as well as the staff. They were all very friendly and knowlegable. I made my selection and brought it to the counter to purchase. They also serve coffee and pastry but this trip I just wanted the beans. They offered to grind them to whatever courseness I wanted, but I prefer to grind them at home. A pound of coffee averages $20 and they have a frequent buyer program (when you reach purchases of $100, you get a $5 credit. This is tracked so your purchases accumulate). They also deliver to the area on Wednesday's if you order online by their Tuesday Night deadline. I have tried this and my coffee was on my doorstep before 9 that Wednesday. Very convenient. Lastly, the store is not that big with not much room for sitting (I honestly can't remember if they had seating.) However, if you are looking to source your beans or grab a cup of coffee on the go, this is a great option.

On the left wall was a large selection of balsamic vinegar. On the right wall is a large collection of olive oil. In the back was a counter you could order food at, and in the middle were table and chairs. They have sampling cups to taste the vinegars and oils. They really encouraged us to keep sampling, which was great because I feel awkward sampling too much. No shame here! We tried some very tasty balsamic vinegars. My favorite was the ume, or Japanese plum. It was very sweet! The oils were good, too, but I only sampled a couple because sampling oil without bread felt weird. We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. One of the standouts we got was blueberry, it has an amazing blueberry taste! Definitely check this place out if you need some fun balsamic in your life- we all do!

The food and drinks are delicious, but this place is way too popular for its own good. It is pretty pricey and a very small place. The decor is great and the workers are helpful. Definitely a little overhyped but I understand why. It was just a little overwhelming for me.

My partner however got their mocha and it was delicious! My uncle also equally enjoyed his oat milk latte. Overall, they have a very large space to study/chat in, plus lots of drink and food options.

It was so perfectly baked with the perfect amount of apples and not too sweet. My friend had the Egg Basket (phone did not eat first) which was a 5/5 review for her and the Oatmeal Raisin cookie which also got a 5/5 review with a comment of "being hearty!" If you're looking for a cute coffee shop with a friendly staff & adorable ambiance, THIS IS IT!

i have really high expectations for coffee & nitro bar totally hit the mark. nitro bar had such a…read morenice balance of coffee with the raspberry and chocolate flavors without either being overpowering. the nitro bar cold foam tasted like real cream and was better than any cold foam i've had before. there was a really long line but it moved pretty fast. it took about 20 minutes on a sunday afternoon and thankfully most of the line was in the shade. the service was honestly incredible. the baristas and cashier were all really nice and happy to answer questions. everyone had such a positive attitude. it can be a little difficult to find a seat. i was lucky and one opened up just as i got my drink. there are around 20 seats inside. the space has such a chic, simple atmosphere. i decided to try the veggie bagel with spicy sun-dried tomato cream cheese on an everything bagel. it came with radishes, cucumbers, and sprouts. this was really delicious. the crunchy toasted bagel, flavorful cream cheese, and fresh vegetables were a wonderful combination. i also love that they offer it as either a half or a full sandwich. there were also a lot of baked goods, overnight oats, and chia seed puddings that all looked great. they are definitely on my list to try next time. i would totally recommend checking out nitro bar.
