I hadn't needed to rent a storage unit in decades, but I needed one quickly. Three things were important to me: Competitive prices, enough space and good reviews. North Loop Storage didn't disappoint on any aspect. They had several size choices, were priced about the same as their competitors, and the customer service was the deciding factor. I spoke to Annabel, who explained the entry process, how to use the lift, rules and regs and so on. She was patient and incredibly helpful and friendly. A young man was also working and he was equally pleasant. When I couldn't figure out the lift, she took the time to go with me and walk through the steps. Very positive experience! read more

DRIVE PAST THIS PLACE. Arrived and "security" gate was wide open. We drove in to go our trailer and it was stolen. We were there 12 days earlier. Management could not care less. "Do you know how long it would take for us to go through the video?" This trailer had over $400 of locks to keep it secure. This place is a scam, definitely not secure. And they couldn't care less about their gross incompetence. Go any place else unless you don't care about your property. read more

ARE YOU KIDDING??? What a nightmare! I set up rental on a unit from Dallas on Monday 3/7/2016. I called on Saturday 3/12/2016, to confirm Sunday hours, which they said was until 3p. Today (Sunday 3/20/16), I jump in my car and hustle down here from Dallas. Arrive with plenty of time to spare, until I pull in and see the door is LOCKED! I freak out. I call the number hoping they had to run to the store; anything but closed! I think I have a moving van with movers and stuff coming down behind me by a few hours. My heart is in my throat! It's 1:37pm. The hours on the voicemail state; till 3. I leave three messages - no call back. I call the number on their website! Nothing. I call corporate, they can't help me. They finally deliver the bad news; "Ma'am, you will need to go somewhere else, we can't help you." I call public storage because they are now the only ones open at this point (it's 2:45 after all this calling around). They get me the closest giant ass storage unit. We head over there, walk in and are instantly greeted by the cuuuuutest sweet girl who instantly eased my pain. She was warm and offered me suggestions and gave me a tour. She gave me time to decide which size was going to accommodate all of our stuff. Because by now, I've heard that the movers are delayed due to more Uhaul shenanigans (they opened two hours late because the manager decided to go to church instead of working - all fine except he is supposed to be WORKING). Anyway, Alex assures me she will help me get my stuff delivered in time...even if she has to stay a little late helping these peeps off the property. She was so helpful and made me feel like this was doable - the already stressful ordeal of moving. DON'T GO TO NORTH LOOP STORAGE. I was coming from New Orleans with a Uhaul trailer and called North Loop to see if they'd honor an ad online for one free month's rent with a uhaul rental. The guy on the phone said yes and that we'd figure it out when I arrived. Tracy was there, two days later, when I arrived and was obviously not a male. She did not know what ad I was talking about. Nonetheless, she honored it. No questions asked. Tracy was personable as she showed me the units and where/how to unload. She even offered to help me move my things, which I know is not part of her job. I declined, but before she left, she gave me her cell phone knowing that I was not from Houston and was moving everything by myself. Though she was ending her workday, she urged me to call or text if I had any problem moving or with the building/unit. The customer service and deal I got was worth five stars to begin with. Tracy went above and beyond what was necessary because she was just good people! More than pleased with my experience with them. Furthermore, the entire place was very clean and organized. The gated area made me feel safe while I unloaded all of my things. read more

Unless you're looking for negligence don't rent here. I had to tell them their under ground pipes were broken because they never circle the property. There was flooding in the rear of the property because of it, and once the pipe was fixed they left the concrete broken! I left once my storage unit was broken into and several others and they didn't even know about the break ins!! read more

Michelle and Howard are so great. I had a moving truck deliver boxes to my new unit here. They were wonderful in helping me deal with the rude mover and watched over me and the unloading like new best friends. They offered me cold water and had my back thru the whole process. My unit was burglarized. While it is hard to deal with the fact that about $4,000 worth of "stuff" stolen, the hardest part to deal with the fact that irreplaceable items were stolen like family photos, Christmas ornaments, clothing, etc. You can't put a price tag on some of the times that were stolen. I don't recommend this business to anyone. read more
