I've been going to Dan for several years now. He is world class and would never have a tattoo done by anyone else. He even fixed up an old one I got from someone clear years earlier that I was embarrassed about. Dan did a rework/cover up that's incredible. Get compliments on it all the time. Samm was so in tune with what I wanted, and has great vision for how things will be laid out. She had provided multiple versions of what we discussed to give me options, and see what speaks most to me as we were doing a larger mandala/lotus sleeve work. During the session she can be a homie, your focused artist, whatever, just an absolute chiller. Samm is great to talk to, but also stays super locked in on the task at hand. I am a U.S. Marine Veteran trying to get a Marine tattoo. I go in and see Dan for an estimate and show him a drawing on my phone that i wanted a tattoo of on my forearm. He informs me that its TOO DETAILED for him to do it at the size and location that i desire. Instead he says he would have to quadruple the size of it(which obviously would take longer) and change the location of it. If I can draw it at the size that I am requesting it should be able to be tattood at that size as well. This guy discredited himself to me and shows how greed over influences his art to give his customers what they want. I've seen some of his work online which looks way more detailed than what I'm asking. So either he is advertising someone elses work or he LIED to me in order to inflate the sale My opinion...F**k this guy I will find someone honest read more

I have been coming to Dan at north mountain for 5 years. He's done a piece honoring my sugared who passed and is currently working on a sleeve for me. I have spend 100 hours in a chair talking to him and have enjoyed every minute, he become a legit friend.
